Corkscrews Cruise to the Curves :)

you're usually quicker than that :8855: :p :p :p btw I'm 21 again :D

I must have been having a blonde day Jackie

:D:D That's at least twice you've been 21! :eek::eek: :bolt: :8855:

I'm only 32 plus VAT.....and then some more VAT :p :giggle:

i got it miss, i knew it was peter pan :D:D:D:D

evening all, all this talk of age  i change my age every day depending how i feel, today i feel about 16 cos have had tea with the parents :D

probably feel about 90 at 5.45 in the morning when the alarm goes off :sigh:

Ooooo get you! Mrs Ontheball Mandy! lol I would never have got it..... I must be thicker than I thought :( lol

Tea with the parents eh? Lucky you not having to cook :D My Mum is a dreadful cook....well to be fair, it's not the actual cooking that's bad, it's her choice of foods. Very boring and bland :( I once tried to introduce her to spag bol, chilli and curry. My Dad loved them, but my Mum said "I'm not eating that muck":8855:

I would say 5.45 was very early to get up, but seeing as I've been up and buzzing round since 4.30, I'll say 5.45 is practically the middle of the day  lol I don't make a habit of getting up as such an ungoldy hour, but I woke up bursting at the seams for my second pee of the night (so flipping annoying!) and decided to stay up  On the plus side, tonights dinner is made and I've got time for 2 breakfasts :D :8855: I feel strangely lively since I started eating good, healthy stuff :D xxx

Well done Mandy Corkie is sulking now cos she didn't get it :8855:

I feel about 10. My daughter is having her first sleep over here in the lounge  pillow fights, nail varnish, sweets, squeals, I think it will be a long night :giggle:

actually add a 0 to that :8855:

Jackie!! Wash you mouth out! I don't sulk  I may be only 5 in the head, but sulking?? No way Pedro! :giggle: A girl has to have a bath sometimes. Take a while too as there's alot of square yards to wash! :8855:

Ohhhhh a sleepover  I remember those days very well. Horrendous noise :( House full of boys practicing the latest WWF (wresting) moves......I thought the ceilings were gonna cave in :( lol Luckily I didn't have to contend with nail varnish on the carpets though........phew! lol

Best thing my son ever did was grow up :D :8855:

4.30  I finally dozed off at 3 and up at 7 but i was awake alot in between, Charlie's sleep over , pillow fights, burping competitions, underwater searching, giggling, annoying, need I say more  :8855:

mmmm you may be right about the growing up but when does this happen??? I ask as Matt is 19 and Chris is 15 its not happened yet  :giggle: (actually to be fair Chris is pretty good)

Now Chris would have painted his nails just to annoy people :giggle: xxxxxxxxxxxx

OMG (Just off to work, but I had to say this...) My son is called Chris, (20 in July) and I have to say, he would also paint his nails for for laugh! LOL He broke his arm when he was 15 and when the nurse asked him what colour pot he wanted on, he asked for a pink one  He thought it was hillarious walking round with a pink pot on for 6 weeks! :8855: He originally wanted one with tellytubbies on but, to his disappointment, that one was reserved for small children! :8855:

My Chris would do the same I am 100% sure of it :8855: hes hilarious :8855: anything for a laugh and I am 100% sure he would have chosen the pink too as would feel it would be hilarious :8855: what are they like ? Have a good day at work lovely xxxxxxxxx

OMG I've missed so much, running around with scissors, PP (which incidentally I didn't get either, not even the second time until it was spelt out for me lol), sleep overs, pink casts - which incidentally my son also had, but he was only 5 at the time lol ................ used to say that when he grew up he was going to be a girl............... slightly worrying, but not worried now as he is 6'5 and loves girls rather than being one :8855: His name isn't Chris tho, its Ryan and the youngest of 3 boys................. didn't manage to get a girl :sigh::sigh:

I can see I won't be able to log off early, if this is what goes on whilst I'm away............!!!

Why would you want one of those? :8855:

:D:D Well had a good relationship with my mum and always thought how nice it would be to have a daughter to do the things with her that I did with my mum................................. but my sister has 2 and my brother has 1 and seeing their teenage years I think I made a better mum to boys!!!!

Think if I'd had girls I would be serving life by now :8855:

I totally agree! lol My nieces make me feel very grateful I never had a daughter, even though I always wanted one.......but not enough to try again! :giggle:

I think boys are easy compared to girls.......just my opinions of course :D

And I would go along with that any day of the week, tho i do think they are hard work when they are little...........they are soooooo loud and boisterous, but get easier the older they get.......in fact I have a great relationship with my boys to the point where they tell me more than I really want to know!!!

You ARE an expert! You're also right......choosing exercise we like makes all the difference :) I forgot about the Wii - I play tennis on that, do the kung foo thing, rythym boxing, jogging on the spot thing.....I do work a sweat up! lol Thing is I don't have much spare time during the week so the Wii waits until the weekend. My 2 long walks (1 hour each) with the dogs are brisk walks and I do get out of puff - we go up hills and stuff.... AND Millie, my smallest dog often goes on strike on the way back - she sits down and refuses to walk one step more cos she's buggered! lol So, technically, I'm doing weights by carrying her the rest of the way back!! :8855: She only weighs about 15lb, but I'm counting it! :giggle:
That really made me laugh :giggle:

Anyway, after all that blethering, what I meant to say is........I think I'll enjoy kettle work, so have decided to buy some and maybe a DVD to teach me some useful moves? :D lol

What weight weighs (lol) do you think I should get?

I don't really use kettlebells other than for exercising my batwings, after my accident with them when doing kettleworks it put me right off them for good....I use a 2.5kg/5kg and 7.5kg bell, depending on what I am actually doing with regards to my batwings but after my stepson showed me some moves, I only really need to use the 2.5kg one xx

This whole forum gives me a good :giggle: on a daily basis Mandy. I've even been known to spit my drink out laughing  lol

Me too lol

0 - 10 hours exercise  :wow: That Lily certainly worked her magic on you! lol

Is that all ? :giggle: if I'd really worked my magic it would be a minimum of 15 hours a week lol xx

Ahhhh you have kettlebells :D I'm gonna get some! I've just been looking online, but an confused by all the different weights! How heavy are yours Mandy? Hey, there's nothing wrong with asking for some for xmas either. Pratical presents - especially the ones that save us money, are fab! :D

I asked for mine for Mother's Day and as it's now coming round again I have a few exercise DVD's I am asking for, totally agree get something you want, no matter what it is xx

I've been known to ask for........a hammer drill in the past  along with a host of other DIY blokey stuff  At least your kettlebell request wasn't blokey!! :8855:

Ahhhhh that's what I should do! Look on Youtube! :8855:

Love You tube, anything you wanna know go look on there xx

quiche-1.jpg

p.s. I'm fancying the Kettlebell Bootcamp DVD

That quiche looks divine, did ya post the recipe? ooh and what's kettlebell bootcamp ?

Will go and have a look lol

Shouldn't really slow the weight loss down should it? I know muscle weighs heavier than fat, bout twice as much I believe, but if you being good with what you're eating should be Ok...............I think :):)

Anyway, for me I will look loads slimmer and that is what appeals lol......nevermind if the scales don't record huge losses...............thats my thinking :D:D

Exercising will initially (in just about all cases, have never heard of it not doing it) make you gain a little weight, as the musles will retain water, but if you continue to exercise the weight will continue to drop off and depending on how vigorous your workout is, on a greater scale xx

Good logic there Lollipop :D lol

Right, I've put the Bootcamp DVD in my basket. It will take a while to get here as it's dispatched from America. I've also put a set of 4 kettlebells in my basket - weights are 2, 4, 6 and 8 kg.

I'll just wait for lily before I hit the 'buy' button lol

I wouldn't buy any heavier at the moment than the 4kg ones you won't need them, unless they come in a set that is...I would buy the bigger ones as you get more used to using them, you wouldn't think 2 and 4 kg are heavy but if you're just starting out with them and don't have a proper trainer advising you, you'll most likely struggle or more importantly suffer injuries xxx
:rotflmao:

I don't see him every weekend though, so I like cooking for him...........and doing his washing  lol
 I don't care if I never saw my kids from one month to the next I'd never enjoy doing their laundry, they always have so much of it...how can they possibly wear that many clothes in 1 week? :giggle:

:8855::8855::8855::8855::8855::8855::8855:

5 pages and i have laughed at every one:D

thank you all for the good laugh, off to work with a smile on my face :D

Same here, giggled my ar*e off here and it's not work that's kept me away darn it lol xx

Glad we gave you a giggle Mandy. Mind, if you tootle off to work smiling to yourself, folk will think you're barking mad! :8855: Only joking :D

Yep, work sure does get in the way of minimin time. I've been so busy at work the past couple of days, I haven't had time to post instead of work! :8855:

I intend snatching some minimin time tonight though, so I may be over to your diary to do a bit of spamming :D lol

:peep: :D lol

Sorry for absence Lollipop, been extremely busy  Had no time for frivolities of the minimin kind  Plus I had an early night last night..............not sleeping though ;)

...........I was watching telly! :8855:
OMG I was so ready to put TMI and then I spotted your saver in the bottom, now I know I am the queen of the sex toys but that was even scarey on my scale ...:secret: (so now I have put what all the others wanted to hear, what did you really get up to ...PM me :8855: :8855: xxxx)

Dawn, I swear I get dafter as I get older :D Honestly, I'm proper crackers! lol Thing is, I still only feel about 25.......it's just a big fat shame my mirror disagrees! :8855:
25?? you're almost old enough to be my mamma :8855: :8855: well mentally anyways :giggle: xxxx

Now you know why I am so stressed, I never had a calming boy :D...mind you seeing Mal's 2 sons I take that back, I'll take my 2 girls any day of the week  xxx
And I have that same relationship with my girls, they often tell me more than I want to know lol

So now I've caught up, how are ya lol ?? xxxx

I know how you feel and old as they are I would be there in a heartbeat if they needed me and when I was first with my OH I told him never make me chose between them and him as he wouldn't like the ansa!!!!!!

Some ppl would probably disagree with that statement, but I feel they need to know I am always here for them...................I had that with my parents and even now I wish my mum was here for me to talk to and I want the same for them...............tho maybe when they all move out and get families maybe things will change slightly...............but no matter how old they get they are still my boys xx

I'm a soft sh*te really :):):)

I will probably be the mother-in-law from hell :8855:

Flipping heck Lily  I can't even begin to respond to your mega long post.......well not without taking a week off work! :8855:

This is the Kettlebell Bootcamp DVD that's is enroute to me from the good old U S of A :D It might be suitable, it might not. Either way, it wasn't expensive so i'm not too bothered :D It gets really good reviews though :) I will give it a bash anyway.

And these are the Kettlebells I have bought  I do hope they ae not destined to be doorstops :D :giggle: Reduced from £35 to £20, which I thought was bargaintastic :D

I didn't post the recipie for the tuna quiche, but all I did was....

1. Roast veggies (mushrooms, red onion, peppers, courgette, BNS - anything you fancy really) in fry light and a drizzle of balsamic and a sprinkling of chilli flaked

2. put them into a flan dish with a can of tuna on the top.

3. Whizz a tub (300g) of FF cottage cheese with 3 or 4 eggs (depending on size) season, pour onto the stuff in the flan dish.

4. Top with cheese (sliced toms.....whatever else you might like) and chuck it in the over for about 30 mins or so

Tis lovely :)

I could never choose anyone above my son Dawn, and that went for my ex-husband :D He would have to do something really really really bad for me to take against him, but even then I'd still be there for him! lol

gosh thoe pink casts bought back some memories :D:D

my daughter had her leg lengthened when she was 14, when they took the frame off she had to go into plaster for 3 months, before they knocked her out the surgeon asked her what colour plaster she wanted and she said anything but pink, when she woke up she almost freaked out when she saw the bright pink plaster. she cried for ages. bizarrely the staff put the tears down to mourning for the frame cos it had been on for over a yr.:confused:
we could not get them to believe it was the pink plaster :sigh:

she hated that plaster :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Why on earth would they think she was mourning the loss of the frame? She must have been absolutely gutted to find a pink plaster when she expressly asked for anything but!!!!!!!
