Know today should have been a rest day but was so excited about my success yesterday that I thought I'd do the next day with the children in work (our mile run turned into 2 miles)!

Zumba tonight then run day 2 tomorrow and then a rest until maybe Sunday.

Done week 5 day 3, jogged for 20 mins ..... WOW!! After about 8 mins had to slow down and have a drink for about 30 seconds but then didn't stop again! Wonder what the logic is though of having us jog 20 mins and then in week 6 go back to intervals?

Did week 2 day 1 today! the first 3 sets were fine but the last 3 were a little harder.. managed to run them all though and not stop! The last run was a real killer though, slightly up hill as well which didn't help! lol I know you've told me to not look ahead to future weeks but I did and I'm a little scared that I'll be going from 90 second jogs this week to 3 min jogs next week! seems like a massive jump!

Don't worry large jump- you'll do it! I did week 3 run 1 on Tuesday and it is easier than you think it will be. Don't get me wrong it is difficult but not as bad as you imagine.

Plus the feeling of achievement at the end is brilliant. I can't wait to do run 2 today! X
 
Large lump its hard not to look ahead but you can do it, you will feel before like you can't but you will and afterwards will feel so proud of yourself!

I def think running in one block seems easier than shorter ones. I did the 2 ten minute runs as the app said but then ran an extra 4 minutes at the end as well! Can't believe how far I'm running and for how long! Really didn't think it possible! Think it can only get easier from now, do you? X

Just entered for my first Race for Life in 11 weeks time, with my auntie. I've been looking into this program and wondered what you all think of it? I have zero fitness:eek:, but would love to jog the race rather than walk it:) Any tips for a newbie? Can 2 people do this together!?
I already do 2 nights a week at college, plus SW class so am gonna be squeezing this in x x Thanks for any comments

I started the C25K for the same reason, (my race for life is 2 weeks tomorrow EEEK) I never thought in a million years I'd be able to run for 25 minutes and that's what my next set of runs will be. I know I'll be able to do it because I've done almost as much already and felt happy to go on! It has definitely worked for me!

I have the same problem in that I have to work quite a lot when I get home from work (teacher!) and wasn't sure I would be able to fit in any running but I've elbowed it in along with 2 Zumba classes a week and 2 children! I think you will just have to be motivated and organised and force yourself to do it.

It is so hard in the beginning but the more you do, the easier it gets. I even look forward to my runs now! Just make sure you follow the program and DON'T STOP! Even if you have to slow right down. You will get an amazing sense of achievement after each run!

PS I do most of my runs with a friend. I have the app on my phone, (we both have music in one ear too) and just tell her when to walk, run and how long we have left etc!! Seems to work for us! X

Hi girls, can I join please?

I did W1 D1 today and although it was knackering I did enjoy it and I managed to do all of the running sections without giving up.

Day 2 will be on Monday.
 
Hi guys did week 6 day 3 today which is a 25 min run. Actually found it easier than the 2 other days this week which were interval! I changed my route slightly today which I think helped.

I can't believe just a few weeks ago I wouldn't have been able to run for a bus and now i'm doing 25 mins lol! Really looking forward to race for life now. Well done everyone and best of luck for this weeks running :) x

Well, took the plunge and have just completed the NHS c25k week 1 session. Quite pleased with myself. Really enjoyed it. Decided to use our local large park for training (but I drove there...is that cheating?? in my defence, it's more of a safety factor;)), spotted some squirrels having a play!
Just hope I can get out of bed tomorrow:eek:
Session 2 is planned for Tuesday before I go to nightclass and think my auntie is joining me:D
 
Week 7 run 1 and this mornings run has proved tonneau that week 6 run 3 wasn't just luck. I am away on a weekend break and that just made me want to run more. Running along the river was lovely and I saw lots if others doing the same. Let's hope the running has offset all the calories I have eaten :)
 
Well done everyone, I did Week 6 Day 2 today so thats the end of the easy life!! Woke up and it was p*ssing rain and was debating going out or not didn't want to end up ill and here when it rains everywhere floods, but if I didnt go today it would be Wed again I could go again, haven't missed a day yet so just thought ah sure worst is I get wet, it was grand except my feet were soaked in minutes!
