Haha, you can tell that Jo's not here!

Those Gü things look nice!

Gu once brought trays and trays of their cheesecakes into my old work for freebies. Sigh.
I miss the perks of that job (but not the hellish hours or people).

As the local adept of Millionaire's Shortbread, I am going to try and make Millionaire's Flapjack (using my own recipes for flapjack and the top 2 layers for millionaire's shortbread). Only to raise funds for school projects (I don't like millionaire's shortbread so no temptation for me) as I already am doing the shortbread and maybe for Christmas hampers and obviously I won't post the recipe here!

(unless someone asks:p)

Does/has anyone ever ordered anything from Gü?

I don't think Jo has a problem with bumbarb:D

She doesn't eat it! Poor girl doesn't know what she's missing!

Hope the jam goes well!:)

Darn - at first I read that you were going to try and make a dukan version:D I have only bought Gu in the shops - Tesco have the tubs on offer at the moment and I bought some thinking we could have them at Xmas - but the best before dates thought differently! But I didn't have any.

Dukan-friendly millionaire's shortbread. OK!

shortbread base -

brans/some cornflour (instead of flour), sweetner (instead of sugar), fromage blanc (instead of butter) but would need experimentation for quantities (shortbread is 1 part sugar, 2 parts butter, 3 parts flour)

caramel layer - Anja's caramel jam but with less milk added in at the end before mixing to a paste to make it thicker

chocolate layer - Dukan's nutella effort (is that spreadable if heated in microwave). Otherwise I'd just use some high% choc (you can get 90% here) because it's not going to be that friendly really!

Job done! (Taste questionable)

It just tastes nice reading it!! I haven't got a pressure cooker, but I might try a jam jar in a pan when I cook my Xmas puddings.

I'll give it a go next week when the house is quiet (plus I don't have skimmed milk powder).

Shucks!

But it could look and taste vile, so I'd keep your praise until it's been tested!

(thanks though)!

LOL. and pictures please :D

Haha, you may wait some time. Posting photos is technically-challenging for me - it will take longer than making the shortbread.:D
