Daisy's sf diary

Hi,you can post here, that's fine, welcome to the site,it's a idea to join some diaries to get a idea of what others have meal wise etc,it also might be a idea to start your own diary on here as well, everyone is supportive and friendly :0)

I will be tweaking my breakfast sometimes as I have some cereal that needs using up but it's not on the sf list but 30g of it is the same pp as my oats!

I tweak my breakfast too! I have Weetabix, ready brek, porridge, bran flakes, cornflakes, shreddies, chocolate Weetabix lol or frosties!
The chocolate Weetabix was a recent addition.

They say porridge as its more filling.....but whether I have porridge or Weetabix I'm still full the same amount of time and eat the same amount.

Lol that makes me feel better then! Might turn today into a pp day as used 10pp on a sandwich while I was out! Me and the OH are too hot for dinner so might just have egg on toast or something like that tonight!

I think you do really well with your food given I know you are having to limit your food spend quite alot at the moment, Daisy. But I can imagine it will great to have a little more leeway come the end of September. Autumn is my favourite season too. And I agree that cheap cooking in winter seems much easier than summer. Summer vegetables and salads and stuff are so much more expensive than nice winter root veg and stuff.

I reckon you should be fine with a little bit of tweaking. On SW I used to have chocolate weetabix for breakfast and would generally find that kept me full longer than porridge. I sometimes think "porridge keeps you full for longer" thing is a complete myth. Spread by Oat farmers. I often seem to end up hungrier after porridge than other stuff.

Thanks for saying that about my food at the moment Atomic and about the tweaks! Very true that salads etc can be expensive. It all makes me look forward to the meal at Frankie and Bennys in a couple of weeks even more so :0)

......if you have a few pots in your garden! Get growing some lettuce! Super cheap! I think it's about 79p for 300 seeds! And if I can do it, you can! As I have only watered them twice this year lol! And I have a constant stream!

My mum grows strawberries and blueberries! I always pop over on way back from work and steal them! Then she moans I eat them all! So this year she has done me my own plant! As I don't have green house or space. So she grown me blueberries/strawberries. Tomatoes and cucumbers! Then I have lettuce/chilli/cucumber/potatoes/spring onion/carrots and loads herbs and massive load of chives and spinach in my garden

Plus kale....I grew it now I don't know what to do with it!

So get growing lettuce! :)

How are you feeling Daisy?

Yea I could maybe do that,we don't have a garden to ourselves so the neighbours can walk pass to get to their back doors but they don't seem the type to steal lettuce.lol
I'm good thanks, bit hot for me at the moment but it is nice to have some sunshine.Had my first pp day yesterday since starting sf,I will have these when need be just hadn't needed to before.

Even though it was a pp day it still loves rather healthy and lots of SF food anyway!

Hope your well!

Tonight's dinner looks yummy. And as Purpled said, yesterday looks really healthy for a pp day, and a sensible swap to avoid using an unnecessary amount of weeklies.

Hope the lettuce growing works out for you Daisy. I have tried growing veg here but my garden is pretty awkward and doesn't get that much sun (or in some places gets too much) and whenever I have tried to grow stuff my female cat, Silly, tends to eat it. And most importantly growing stuff would involve rather alot of weeding which I never seem able to keep up with...

Thanks about my dinner and yesterday's meals.Hmm I don't know if I will be growing anything yet,i'd have to look into it more.plus can't plant anything here so would just be pots! Maybe some herbs! Opps about Silly,my friend's cat is busy giving birth tonight!

Dinner looks good! I love peas! Do you make your cous cous plain or add stuff in?

It was a packet that I had in the cupboard so already had bits with it.I only brought the plain couscous yesterday though I might add bits when I use it to give it more flavour!
