Daisy's sf diary

Got abit more to go to get to goal.10lbs for that, the 3.5lbs is just to get me into the tens.Well before I use to be between 9.7/10 stone,my body seems to like the 10 stone range, got told I looked too thin if lower but cos am older I thought I go for 10.7.To be honest just a bit more toned suits me and to fit comfortably in a size 12 as that my size when I lose weight(though some 10s) when lose more but I like 12 and was that size before I ever gained weight.

I think it's more about size than weight! Like I could weigh less if I wanted, stop exercising and have less muscle but look a different shape to now! I think it's best to go to clothes sizes. Infact when I get maintenance under control I may stop weighing alltogether. Or maybe once every other month.

Yea I know what you mean about size, toning etc.I think that's the right way to go about things that once you are settled with maintainence then weighing in less will happen. Some people go by how their clothes feel and don't worry bout weighing!

I think using clothes size as a guide does work! However I have a size 10, 12 and 14 dress and thy all fit me!

Hmm I see what you mean plus like we was all saying on Sarah's thread the other day, clothes the same size can fit differently depending on the shop! I guess if it's 'old clothes' so to speak people go by that!

Food sounds yum as usual :)

I think going by more than just weight is the sensible option too. My aim was always to get to a size 14 but nearly 1/3 of my clothes are a 14 now and I am nowhere near a healthy weight for my height so I guess I need to rethink that one. But I am not sure I want to be a smaller clothes size than that so not sure what I will do really. Still got a way to go until I am a reliable 14 in most things so I guess I will play it by ear.

Yea see how you feel as time goes on Atomic as you say.I do like that l look thinner and my body has changed.Just need to lose the last bit and tone,oh and keep on the straight and narrow of course ;0)

The straight and narrow?? I have heard of that place... Never convinced that it actually existed ;)

I just don't understand how people say I wanna weight 10 stone and then get to 10 stone and be happy. Surely it's best to be a size you like and then say I want to weigh this weight. I know we need to set goals to push us. I set myself 10 stone but stopped before I got there! It is very easy to get upset about the numbers. Some times it's great to step back and see the bigger picture. Inches inches inches

Yea I know what you mean,I did at first plan to get to 10.7 and then aim for 10 but will go for the 10.7 then tone up a bit.Plus people get to the stage where they are still not happy at goal weight and keep going..when do you stop though!? I wouldn't want to put myself through that.I only got to 9.7 before as was ill and got to that weight and decided I liked how I looked then!

Just had my own little fashion parade, clothes not yet worn and old clothes! Fav would be my goth dress that I've had for years and I love the way it sits on me! Might get to wear a skirt I brought last september sometime soon ;0)

Cool! And throwing big clothes in the charity bag too I hope!

I love throwing big clothes away! It means I can buy more :)

I havent got much to throw out as still wear some big clothes lol but always give to charity or my friend's daughters have had my 'decent' old clothes in the past!

Though I do have a pair of jeans now tucked in the cupboard as they are far too baggy now ;0)

I kept my jeans! I wanna do a photo stood in one leg like in magazines. But I'm still too big haha!

Nah I just wanted to keep them it just shows how well I've done! They don't even stay up!

Good idea, especially if have a off day,not saying you will but you know how life can get sometimes, maybe I should keep mine! Next year though(not going to bother this year as be wearing jumpers soon enough)I want to get some nicer fitted tshirts as my old one are too baggy and the fitted ones I brought look so much nicer!
