Day Number One!

hey rach according to the myfitnesspal food diary when i put in all i have eaten today its 17g (since had a small ham sandwich oops) i am sure it cant be right but woohoo if it is :D

At the moment i'm not finding it too hard at all really, even in tesco i didnt miss buying the foods i normally would.!! Alot of the eating is out of boredom, so i must have had a boring 30 years anyway, now to make the next years interesting :D

Just having one problem, i keep dreaming of bacon butties :drool:
 
Hehe, thank you! It was very niiice...My family all lives really far and my immediate family is still in America (where I'm from)...So, I didn't think I'd have anyone there and then my auntie and uncle surprised me. It was really sweet...

Yeah I didn't find that I was missing anything. I mean besides the chocolate but it really doesn't bother me when the outcome of cutting the sweets could be soo much better...

Aww man!! Bacon butties! Lol. Now I want some.
 
I'm away from all my family so i know how you feel :( can be hard at times!! My fitness pal is a site where you input all your info, your weight height how much weight you want to lose etc, and then each day you input what you have eaten and that works out the amount of fat and calories.. sorry i am useless at explaining things..just type my fitness pal into your search engine!!

Sally, your supposed to have about the 45g of fat a day, so you may want to increase hun, just incase this actually slows your weight loss down!!

Can it slow your weight loss down if you're not really eating that much?? I have 3 meals a day and really...no snacks..I have either a bowl of cereal with skimmed milk...or bagel with extra light cream cheese (it's under the fat amount, I was shocked!) for breakfast...Then lunch yesterday was a jacket potato with half a can of baked beans no butter or anything and today was a banana sandwich...then dinner boiled rice, tofu and veg..and yesterday a bit of chicken and veg and rice...am I eating enough?? I feel like I am because I'm not really hungry...Hmm..any suggestions?
 
How many calories are you having and whats the total fat intake?? I had to increase my food for the first time ever as i was told i wasnt eating enough!! If you dont eat enough the body thinks its not going to get anything so starts going into starvation mode and stores what you eat as fat or something like that..anyway it turns out that you may not lose weight if your not eating enough!!
 
Oh no, I'm not suure really. Everything I eat is within the 5g per 100g thingy...and I dont really eat much of it..Maybe I should add fruit snacks inbetween meals or something?? I don't really know what to do. I want to loose but if I'm going about it wrong it's going to be wasted time..Ergh. I wish my Dr had explained more..All she said was to make sure I take it with my 3 main meals and not to skip any pills because every meal will have fat..no matter how little it is..
 
My doctor never explained anything to me either, useless!! The info is just what i have picked up on here.. i know its 15g per meal so roughly 45g for the day, although i will admit some meals have been alot less and some have been more than 15g, dont know if this makes a difference!! Hope this helps, i'm off to bed anyway am tired after my extra long walk around tesco hehe!! Hope you manage to figure this out, some fruit or cereal bars would probably be a good idea or even some muller yogurts!!

I've looked on the Xenical website and I think I'm ok. It says something about calories and if I'm only taking in soo much calories then it should be less...and that I don't have to eat 15g per meal..I think it's no more then 15g per meal..so anything less should be ok..?? Oh I dont know..confussing..I'll add a couple light sneaks in between if I can..and then some excercise on top of that..and hopefully I'll be loosing..Thanks for your help..Lol. Goodnight and have a good day tomorrow (today) aswell.. :)
 
whoo i never knew that :( i thought i was doing really well with the eating. infact i still thought i was over eating a bit. i will look into things a bit better then. thanks for the info there rach. to be honest i did wonder why wasnt getting any side effects lol

You wouldnt get side effects sall once you were following the 5g per 100g rule!! I could be wrong with all this, i do find it very confusing!!

Binny i really dont know anymore lol,:confused: confused isnt the word now :D: I may read up on it again!! But like you said once you dont go over the 15g per meal, and only have a max of 45g a day we should all be ok!! HOPEFULLY :eek:
 
Hope so...Confussed. I think when I go to my weigh in I'll ask someone if what I'm doing is right...but then again..if I've lost any..I'll know I can't be far off..If I've gained..it'll be a wasted 2 weeks. Haha..Is there anyone on here that has succeeded with Xenical..? Perhaps there's someone who's been doing it a while that we can ask...Ergh..
 
this is all confusing :rolleyes: thought i was doing really well keeping to a low fat diet. i know it says on the leaflet with the xenical that if you eat a zero fat meal dont take tablets. think might make an appointment with the nurse at the surgery next week and have a word with her. dont want to be doing it all wrong. might try upping my fat by a little (not exceed the 5g rule still) oh my head :lost:
 
Ok, so I was reading threw some old posts and PinkPunkStar said.."45g of fat daily is whats allowed max , 15g of fat or less per meal & everything under 5g of fat per 100g product"...so less is ok..and my Dr said to take the pill no matter how little you think the amount of fat is because everything will have some in it so the pill will still work...Hmm..I think I'm doing it right based on that, and I'll trust the Pink..ect.. girl because she's lost soo much. Lol.. :)
 
thats ok then so we are doing alright :D good to know. the only time i dont take a pill is with snacks. need to start with breakfast thou as not eating that at moment. cant really eat early in the morning
 
My GP didn't tell me anything about it either girls, like you I found out from coming on here!

I take a tablet with every meal even if little or no fat in it (a muller lite and fruit at breakfast) just so it stays in my system.

As long as you stick within the rules you will be fine, only time I had side affects but thankfully not oil was at Christmas. Stopped tablets the day before works nite out so had 24 hrs clear but still had a worrying time walking round Sainsburys the day after ;)

Must admit I try to stay well under the 15g rule, all I can add is drink more and exercise, worked for me last week! X
