Debridgers' Food Diary & Ramblings

Well, a pretty busy week, had a fella round to measure my windows, some of the units have blown, but I knew that before we moved, which also helped to reduce the price, along with a few other things, so, a pretty good quote, and have arranged for them to supply and fit 15 sealed DG units, he also came back with a price for a large window (and frame) for the porch that Ken is building.
We also took out 5 OAPs for a lunchtime drink on Wednesday, we all know each other, but they never meet up these days, so we thought it'd make a nice change, weather was reasonable so we sat in the beer garden, from there, after dropping them off home, we travelled to just outside Hastings to pick up a motorcycle for Kens grandson.
We also had dinner at Kens wife's that night too, king prawn and chorizo linguine....very tasty, but not particularly SW friendly, especially when you consider half a bottle of red went in it, along with the olive oil and the fatty chorizo....ho hum
Thankfully, it didn't matter as I lost another lb at WI Thursday night and was told to put on this week, fancy being told at a slimming class to gain lol
Oh, I also made the Boursin style syn free, healthy extra free cheese - it was fab, so easy too so I took a big tub to class with some carrot sticks for everyone to try.
Went for a few pints after WI to meet up with a friend, he and Ken get on well, so a few beers were had by all.
Also, whilst shopping I picked up a bargain - a grey pair of super skinny jeans, reduced from £14 down to £7...Only the grey ones mind, all the others were full price??
Anyway, Ken thought they looked fab and suggested I bought another pair..so, we did, and I picked up a leather look black waistcoat too - it's rare I treat myself, so, why not eh?

Yesterday we went to a local 'feast and fayre' apparently this village has been doing this since the 13th century, although stopped for many years, but it was reintroduced and became really popular in the 1970's, there were all the people dressed in medieval gear, and some food stalls, craft stuff, you know, the normal stuff - it made a nice change.

Today we popped out on our bikes, although mine was paying up a bit, so we came home early, and have since sat in the garden....so pleased I moved, I didn't get much sun before, but here, it's in the back garden all day until sunset...so lucky

Anyway, I know my thread title is ramblings - but phew, have I lol

Enjoy the rest of the weekend
I'll put my food on when I get on the laptop

Debridgers' Food Diary & Ramblings

Had a lovely day Monday, I met up with a few people I worked with, they all live in Kent, so I drove over, it wasn't too far, only took about 30mins
Had a few hours, a spot of lunch - I was a good girl and chose a steak, and swapped my chips for a jacket, and ordered a side salad, quite nice, but the potato had a little butter in it already and the salad was dressed, but only a vinegarette but, well, all things being equal it wasn't too bad, oh, and as I was driving stuck to diet coke
Last night, Ken and I popped to a local(ish) pub, I've only been there once before, strangely enough, the day we looked at this house, anyhow, a couple of ciders went down well

Today I popped over to a friend and changed her printer cartridges, then did the food shop, so, not overly exciting, but hey ho

Debridgers' Food Diary & Ramblings

Not really sure where my time has disappeared to,
Weds night walked with a few people from class, about 4 1/2 miles
Thurs was signing-on, oh deep joy, and a wander around the shops, as I have SW class in the area late afternoon, so no point going home in between, Picked up a new belt, which was desperately needed, followed by a few beers
Had another STS- so happy, still 2lb under target

Friday was grocery shopping and pottering around, and a couple of Friday night pints
Saturday blitzed the house, and had a friend over for dinner, then off to the pub, where a local band were playing
Sunday we went to a classic bike show, great day, fantastic weather, and bought a couple of bargains too
A pair of Harley Davidson jeans, with 2 different denim panels, they were £6 and new
And I also bought a grey leather jacket (a casual, non bike sort) for £5, which although 2nd hand is in great condition.

We then popped to Kens daughter to see if they wanted to come out for a pint - they didn't as their son had some friends over, so we ended up staying, a few too many beers, an impromptu BBQ
I. Bounced on the trampoline, and stripped to my undies(thankfully matching) and ended up in the pool, jumping through rubber rings, and basically playing silly beggars - so Sunday was a fab day all round

Today, have just pretty much sat in the garden, all the washing is done, so I'll iron that this evening, and we went and bought some more stuff to stain and treat the fences.
Decided I needed a fast day today, had so much beer these last few days
Wednesdays my. Birthday, so I'm sure I'll be indulging then too.

Hope everyone is well

Debridgers' Food Diary & Ramblings

Well, yesterday ended up as a little busy in the morning, all the washing done, love this time of year, and getting it on the line, did some boring paperwork filing and sorting, and we had a lazy afternoon in the garden, and the ironing last night.
The DD went as well as normal, and in fact carried on until tonight's dinner, so, about a 46 hour fast (let's hope I've managed to grab some back this week)
Also did a huge amount of BM today, went and helped Ken on a job, and did 6 hours digging and weeding, as well as we had to move a 15 foot boat, so I could dig, and Ken could lay turfs.
We then left there, and bought half the bricks for the porch (only those on show), only to find they weren't the right ones, I called them, we can swap them tomorrow thankfully, otherwise it's £111 spent when we could have bought cheap ones, as I really don't want the wrong ones on view.

Made a mixed bean chilli for dinner, which I put in the slow cooker this morning, so, just the rice to cook when we got in.

I already have my shortened Harley jeans back, Vera (Kens wife) did them for me, we only took then around yesterday - so speedy work there, and a great job too, will have to think of a little prezzie for her.

Reckon it'll be an early night tonight, not sure what were doing tomorrow, other than, brick exchange and unloading in the morning, and I reckon we're out to dinner for my birthday in the evening, other than that, we'll see

Hope everyone's had a good day
