Deflating the Bouncy Castle

Honey, you are no longer a Bouncy Castle!! Love the jumper! Oh! By the way in that photo you look 20 odd! All that rubbish about losing weight makes you look older is sooo not true! Well not in your case!

Liking the jumper!!! You look like you're the perfect size there hunni, and I'm with Kira, def look like you're in your 20's! You look younger than me!

super duper slinks.

That sweater is amazing also...but buy some smaller jeans would you ;)

Wow u are so so gorgeous!!!! Inside and out :) x

Just had a quick skim through your diary, you'e done so well! Looking fab and I agree, wouldn't say you were a day over 23!

I had 2 miscarriages in 2008/2009 and since then have not concieved at all. My GP is unwilling to do much to help us, both myself and my partner are 27 and he seems to think that as we managed it before we should be able to do it again. We get married this year and are both losing weigt- I know that if I ever see a fertility specialist my weight will be the first hurdle so I want to walk in to his/her office at a health BMI.

Good luck with both your weight loss and your IVF, wishing you all the best :)

JVS xx

You should go see another Gp. After you have been trying for 18 months then they should refer you to a fertility clinic. Why 18 months is the magic cut off, I don't know. As soon as we hit the 16 month mark our gp sent off the referral knowing it would take a few months for the appointment.

Morning spangles. Lovely jumper.

What do you have planned today?

Good morning spangles... Gorgeous jumper you are looking great :) x

Morning Spangles,

I love the jumper... and what a figure you have. The others are right you look very young and so pretty. Can't wait for the other pictures (I do think Nat is right -- your jeans look a little too big).

It hasn't been 18 month since the 2010 miscarriage, maybe this is what our GP is thinking? Although I must admit that there has been no mention of this magic cut off.

Oh and I have decided that we will not discuss this in the run up to the wedding, we are giving ourselves a break from the emotional battle so that we can enjoy the big day and our honeymoon. The 18 months will be up after that, so we will be back to the GP. Thankyou for your advice :)

I've just re-read that last bit- and yes it has been 18 months because it was 2009 not 2010. I'm actually quite impressed that I made that mistake- that shows I'm not as obsessive about is as I used to be, there was a time when I could have referred to it in hours and minutes.

It was 18 months of trying for us, and I had a mc in the middle of that, so our GP didn't take that into account. They also did a sperm test on OH, despite us already having a daughter, and decided his wrigglers were not wriggling. What they didn't tell us was that he had just had a really bad bout of cold/cough/flu-ish ness (so did I) and that can affect results for 2 months, so he then had a complete meltdown about how nothing was working anymore, of no reason

However, I hope you can relax, enjoy your honeymoon and afterwards go speak to the GP again hun.

Whens the wedding - 5 weeks to go for us and I am starting to get nervous!

Jez - I think it does so much good to take a break from actively 'trying'... the process of monitoring / charting etc, puts it on the agenda every day and after you've built up some sadness with months of failing - or worse, as you have -that's not a good mental place to be in every day.

wishing you luck, though. also - awesome hair in your profile pic!

ok - i promised you a pic of the new 'do'. also, i did say last week that i'd get a photo in something more 'clingy' than the jeans and vest combo. Et voilà:

Nat - I've literally only just bought these jeans, and they're supposed to be baggy on the leg! Not buying any more now til i get to goal.

Stunning! That's all I can say!! Love the hair do! Tres tres chic! Love the purple handbag too!

ps yes, I though the jeans looked big but didn't want to say!! Anyway, you have too gorgeous a figure to be wearing baggy stuff!

Fab hair and fab curves! Looking very good is all I can say.

it's pics like that that make me wish i could be the kind of girl that does their hair and make-up properly every day (that i suspect you are but i am far too lazy to ever be) - so glamourous!

noooo! the photo from yesterday is more representative. i half do. my hair is pretty straight naturally, so it just gets brushed. i do own a hairdryer but i've no idea where it is, and i don't do the straighteners thing. Hair looks good above cos i'd been to the hairdresser's that day. for work i wear foundation, blusher, a bit of eyeshadow, mascara and eyeliner. no lipstick, and only do my eyebrows if my fringe is short. when i go out i wear more complicated eyeshadow, and lipstick.

if i'm just slobbing at home, i wear yesterday's makeup, that i'm inevitably too lazy to take off til it's time to put the next lot on.

Love the look -- you are just as a drama teacher should be... fab and dramatic.

Mel I LOVE that! Bloody school imposed a 'corporate dress' code on us last summer. we're sposed to wear suits etc. I have a principled objection. i am a DRAMA teacher, i should be eccentric and theatrical in my attire! Which is why I got my blonde stripe.
