oh that's lovely of you. but i've only had two classes. I must wait and see if i'm any good at the other bits first!
I have just spent the last hour or so working out which two courses would be best to do after easter. a lot of the ones i'd previously earmarked, I now see are going to be too basic. so i think i'll do the intermediate version of the class i do now, and one which is for weddings but seems quite challenging (you get to do pomanders and pew ends). I think part of it purely that we don't have a table and have only 1 metre squared of worktop in our tiny kitchen. I need the class so I have room to do this - until we move.

spangles quick un diet related question. i love vintage clothes but ive never bought anything from collectif because the dresses look really long and im only five foot! are they tres long??? i dont need any help in looking stumpy!! xxx

I'm five foot three and the dolores fitted dresses come above the knee on me, as do the Rhonda fitted dresses (if that's the one with the big collar). The dolores doll (flared) dresses are a fair bit longer and come well below the knee on me. I assume because that's the length of a standard rockabilly petticoat (Viv of Holloway etc).

i thought that may have been the case. i always have to take vintage flared dresses up because anything below knee makes me look like i have no legs!! however i may be brave enough to try a fitted dress soon! thanks for the info!!! x

Decided to buy this little play-suit instead of a dress for now! Saw that it was in the sale at Sugarhill Boutique and couldn't resist.

I am SKINT but hey ho! I am Obsessed with anything with an animal pattern. My wardrobe is slowly turning into a zoo! hehe.
Weirdly couldn't bring myself to buy a smaller size though. I thought to myself "don't be smug and buy a smaller size, knowing your luck it wont fit" I have no sense of confidence...or logic sometimes!! I will regret it when it is miles too big in a month's time.

ooh - that's gorgeous, petal. i don't have the legs for shorts... but you play to your strengths, right? and speaking of which, my showbiz mate emailed me this afternoon. regular readers of this drivel might remember that he had lost a fair bit of weight, but has stalled lately - and when i saw him record a show back in october/november, he'd still lost more than me (mind - he has much more to lose: was 24 stone when he started). Anyway, now i have overtaken him. which is shamefully satisfying to me. so anyway, i just now took a photo just now to send him, of me in my new (Collectif sale) size 12 dress. What's that you say? vanity sizing? lalalaa... can't hear you. I'm planning to wear the label on the outside!

looking haat haat haat (american for hot lol) love that dress!!! i dont have the legs for shorts either but with thick black tights its not too bad...and also because i am tinsyweenytiny in the leg department playsuits seem to lengthen me out! fingers crossed that the peter pan collar isnt wholly unflattering!!! but back to your pic...in the words of borat ... wawa-woo-waa. looking lovely!!!
