Deflating the Bouncy Castle

wow - sassy is awesome. I hadn't thought about getting photogs to use my stuff, but it makes perfect sense! Still... mustn't get ahead of myself. I was going to do my friend's wedding next winter, but she's gone and got herself knocked up, so is postponing...

Maybe in the summer term I will take two classes a week... after all, I won't have a cdc to go to any more!

Today I would like to share with you my latest NSV - with increasing comfort, for the last couple of weeks I have been enjoying crossing my legs. Properly. Not at the ankles, but above the knee.

It's not quite effortless yet - but it makes me feel ladylike and sexy and i haven't been able to do it for about ten years!

Also - i'm into my second pair of new knee boots from Duo. The others, which are gorgeous, I bought in november (a bit tight) 5cm in the calf smaller than i was pre-diet. This pair are ostentiably 3cm smaller than that, but I smell a rat - because when they came last week i couldn't get them done up at all, despite having measured my calf carefully. I think these ones come up small. But I got them on this morning (your calves are slimmer in the mornings!) and am very pleased with them. Dark brown, slightly ruched, two and a half inch block heel (looks higher than that on my size 3 feet). And that's another thing. I'd have been in agony just walking to the car on heels this high not so long ago!

That's awesome :) you must be so pleased that you've done so well.

i have also been pleased to be able to cross my legs properly - it's not something i ever found comfy or natural and now i've found myself doing it on occasion without thinking!

Fab news on the boots..... I'm dreaming of pretty shoes and boots!

The other thing I nearly let pass by is that today marks the end of six months on this insane diet.

Half a year of perfect choices. Half a year of freedom from guilt about food. Half a bloody year of feeling good about myself!

It has been horrible, obviously - not to have had so much as a glass of wine in all that time... but it has also been one of the happiest times of my life. I truly wish I had been ready to do it years ago.

Wow. That's amazing. I can't believe you've been doing this for six months. I'm struggling with the idea of 3. You are awesome and truly inspirational xx

tonight. dunno about a whoosh - it'd have to be 9.5lbs to make up for the last two weeks... but i'm hoping for something a shade better than average.

Spangles ....

Very Well Done!

Thanks petal - not long now. Come hell or high water i'm off this diet at the end of march!

Hope you are wearing your lightest dress, knickers and bra!! Take of any jewellery and watch! And tights must come off too! I know I'm sad! Fingers crossed tightly for a good loss tonight!

Clever lady, loving your flowers, definatley a talent there, I can't wait to see next weeks! Do they give you atheme or colours to bring each week?

While you were talking about weddings I remembered I'd seen a list of top wedding blogs - not sure how useful but here goes; Top Wedding Blogs « Lark Crafts Lark Crafts

i'll have to start a file for helpful links, cos i'll forget all this stuff when i come to use it.

what i did think though, once i've covered bouquets and other essentials, that i might do what my wedding photographer did. she was starting out and went on a wedding forum and offered to do some weddings for free, so that she could generate a portfolio. I couldn't do it for free cos flowers are effing expensive! but i could do it for cost and travel expenses. Do you think some brides (probably the less bridezilla-ish ones, doing things on a budget) might go for that?
