Deflating the Bouncy Castle

Oh brill. What make did you get? I swear by shock absorbers. They have a run bra and the puppies don't budge in it LOL. It's a bit expensive though at over £35 :O

ace - got Shock absorbers!
they were £30 in Debenhams and £22 i think on amazon.
probably a bit cheaper now i'm a smaller size :D

I've got shock absorbers too but for running (not that I've done any since starting this diet ;)) I swear by Enell. Feels like you're in a straightjacket but strapped down hard and no bounce :). Not one to wear to accentuate feminine shape however ;)

Thanks for all these thips.....Oh my so much to think about when buying a new bra that i would of never thought of.. have made notes of them for when im near goal so i can actually have a bra that fits me for the first time in years!!

Thanks Spangles, I'll give that a whirl.

I think mine s a shock absorber too.

My bras are hard to fit, I went to be measured and they struggle to find a wire that will lay across my ribs properly. But, now my OH says my boobs are getting much smaller although frame is staying the same, do I need to be fitted again as the cups are too big.

I'm gong to wait now though till I reach the last target.

Has anyone heard of the breast implant procedure where they take fat from the body to put into the boobs. I want that, I'm a bit wary of implants but I figure this is part if me so not so bad.

I bought my last shock absorber from here:

eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace

It was a size that I didn't think I'd be in for long so I didn't want to spend full money on it. I figured that no one was going to see it but me so for a non glamorous sports bra that I wouldn't be wearing long I didn't mind a bit of 'yellow'. As it turned out the yellow was so minor I didn't notice it really. I will definitely buy another in a smaller size.

Hmm I went to M&S the other day and got measured for the first time ever! They only measured below my breasts and that was the band size - She then said she thought I was a d or dd and only when I tried on the bras did she confirm a 34D. I always thought they had to measure below bust and around it also and the difference is your cup - which I was somehow working out as a 34b and therefore have a draw full of bras I spill out of! But I did initially think the woman was wrong as I thought it was too big and because she didn't measure around the bust but I guess I got used to bras nor covering the full cup. Complicated!!! But overall I think M&S were accurate in my opinion! I hope so anyway just spent £50 on a few new bras!

that does sound right. m&s have a truly shocking reputation for catering to really big boobs, though.

I remember your avatar used to be a photo of you Lara and from what I recall you didn't look as if you were a B cup so I think that a bigger cup sounds about right. They are supposed to measure round your bust too tho, but maybe she could roughly tell from experience?

Yes perhaps it was experience! So far the fit does feel and look better.

The branch I went to seemed to have a lot of choice for larger cup sizes Spangles - it was the Kingston one - have you been to the big branches?

I am off to Kingston to buy new bras Tuesday and found reading this very helpfull so cheers spangles! Would u recommend the Kingston one then Lara?

Sorry Spangles, I turned your diary into a bra fitting thread!

'salright.

bigger cup sizes at M&S largely stop at a GG, but even there they're about twenty years behind the attractiveness and design range of a company like fantasie - and more unforgivably, just aren't very good at shaping and support.

I'm glad they seem to be training their assistants better (at rigby and peller and bravissimo they don't use a tape measure very much at all, btw).

they do reckon the best bra fitters can tell your cup from just looking!

I would LOVE a Rigby & Peller underwea set. I told myself I'd treat myself to some for the wedding but now that costs have soared i'll probably end up in something nylon from the market

Yes I thought it was quite a good place - but bare in mind I was looking at D cup range and Spangles highlighted their flaws on the bigger cups- There really is hardly anywhere else that sells underwear in Kingston as far as I know (and I'm there 5 days a week!) apart from Ann summers. Maybe bentalls could be good but not tried them! I confess I did but a £6 bra and knicker set from primark! Would only wear occasionally as I can tell the cheapness and fit is nothing like the M&S ones! Oh and M&S are doing £5 off when you get a fitting and spend £30+ on lingerie. Id advise to going M&S as soon as you get in to town as you have to book in a measuring or even call before to book as they were booked up (If u wanted to use the offer). Good luck hope u get on well x

Thats awful- support is all the more important with bigger cups!

I just read the bravissimo fitting info and they say that even if 2 women have the same measurements they won't suit the same bra or even size and that their assistants were trained to understand what was right for the individual, not just look at measurements. That makes perfect sense as not all women that are roughly the same size will fit in or suit a certain dress or whatever. I had a look at the range they stock and there are some really quite nice ones that are not too expensive (had thought they were much more expensive than they are) so I think I'll pop along for a fitting. I've tried doing it myself but failed miserably and it would be good to get an expert view. I don't even know what style I should be going for. I've always gone for the balcony style but maybe I should look at full cup for more support? The plunge ones look gorgeous on the models of course but I think mine might make a bid for freedom in one of those styles :). They need to show G size models wearing the larger sizes, not models wearing the smallest size they do in a given range!

Thanx Lara xxx

so i was just about to do tuesday's ocado order when i realised we're going to the in laws for their annual burns' supper next weekend. it's sent me into a bit of a spin, tbh - because while i was on the packs i was completely in control no matter where i went - but combining step three with being away will be hard.

Have decided to eat early friday evening before we go, then take with me my weighed out fruit for friday and saturday evenings, my weighed out museli and yoghurts for saturday and sunday brekkie, a bag of salad and my fat free vinaigrette for saturday and sunday lunch, and a portion of chilli that i can eat before we leave lincolnshire on sunday. I'm aware my MIL might think this odd but i need to be in control.

saturday night i will have to play by ear. i will have some haggis, but not too much, because of the oatmeal - and maybe a spoonful of mash and some green veg if MIL has any in, or my salad again if not. It's hard because she has about forty people for dinner - i don't want to add a fuss to her preparations.

It's so much harder than SS! Logistically...
