hey gorgeous!!

im really happy if i have helped in anyway! i find that i believe hard that im doing this for me, and if i break it im only letting myself down! but in the most positive way possible to frame that idea in my head to make me think this journey isnt going to be long its a positive fulfilling experience!! :D your doing great! its so difficult the first few days, yesterday was fairly hard but i got through it! now day 6 and im feeling good ...

Its that early morning "Yes I did it yesterday" feeling that has kept me going - the absence of guilt. VLCDs are great to lose weight quickly so I bet you are going to be very pleased at the first weigh in. Is that next Monday?

Hi Belle, Yes my 1st weigh in is Monday....I'm really looking forward to it. I'm sure the vlcd will be 'the one' for me because as soon as I see the losses i'm really 'in the zone' galloping off on my Exante stallion lol! :D xx

:party0049: I've got traces of ketones Is that normal for day 2? Anyway, i've got hunger pangs so I know it's not the full blown ketosis yet. Happy though! :D
 
Just wanted to say have a great day 3!! I had ketones yesterday but still felt hungry, I think it's just the last of the glycogen being used up from our stores.

Chin up and onwards and downwards, Exante is coming today...........yaaayyyyyyy
 
Day 3.

Brekkie: A fluffy 'latte' made with a black coffee and a couple of teaspoons of vanilla shake mix whipped up- YUM! Followed by the rest of the shake mix mixed in my blender with ice, I ended up with 1 + 1/2 pints worth, took me all morning to finish it :D
Lunch (was very late): Porridge, just as it comes, I actually really like it and find it filling.
Tea/Dinner: will be a toffee and nut bar

I slept badly again last night but woke up surprisingly 'with it'. I don't have a headache at all, no stomach cramps but the odd hunger pang. I'm only missing the 'habit' of eating- not so much feeling like I need food at all! Could this be Ketosis? :) I read online that there's no proven link between ketosis and apppetite supression (?) so I'll have to wait and see if this feeling is real or just in my head.

I ate lunch too late and so was very light headed and weak- not a good feeling! I was fantasizing about food :sigh: , the porridge hit the spot though and i'm SO glad I didn't go down the self sabotage route.

I've had plenty of water today too, i'm pretty sure i'm getting through between 2-3 litres. I'm peeing like it's an olymic sport anyway, lol!
Can't wait for my weigh in, I already feel a little smaller :D

Great another day marked off the calender Mrs, I made it through my day 4 and find the Exante much better, I wonder does the constant weeing die down any??
Can also say I think I am leaving the lunch too late as well and that's why I'm feeling rotten in the afternoon, I think I will have to try splitting the shake again and being more sensible about it.

Sorry to hear you are not sleeping well, I am sleeping like a log as I feel very tired and don;t have a lot of energy, but I'm guessing the LT might be a bit more severe than the Exante for side effects.

Hi there.

You are in ketosis. That is great. The habits are soon forgotten. The trick now is to watch out for self sabotage such as not drinking the water or having all the sachets. After that there is little to do but enjoy the ride (on that stallion of yours). Do NOT under ANY circumstances give in to the temptations that will occasionally arise. It makes the diet sooo much harder if you are in and out of ketosis. Just try to lay out clothes you'll fit into by certain dates and plan your add a meal days. Measure all your measureable bits. Take photos of yourself. Seeing the changes so soon after starting is amazing.

And as someone said to me today - just do it!!

Thanks for the encouragement guys, I feel so proud of myself this evening for getting through another day! And I just noticed something exciting.....................................................my rings are loose!! :bliss:If this keeps up i'll need new jewellery- oh no! :cross: lol!!

So i'm SEEING results already! Onwards and Downwards :D
My Exante Stallion is stabled for the night and I will be riding him proudly again tomorrow ;)
 
Hello DL, I was up early so I fed the stallion for you and cleaned him out so he's ready to go for you this morning!!

Day 5 and I can see a difference in top belly today, it appears to be not hanging so much over bottom belly, which is great news.

Glad you're seeing a difference too, it's great isn't it! I can see a difference in my face this morning. My bellies are still the same- maybe a little more deflated than usual. I'll know they've gone down when the top of my knickers stop disappearing under bottom belly!

Day 4 for me and I feel F.I.N.E :D Good to go! All the best to you for another 100% day xxxx
 
Great news, you are really buzzing me along with you on that stallion, it's so good having other people who are with you on this journey and seeing the losses really helps me. Have a good one !!

Well, I thought I'd better tell you all that I was cleaning my kitchen floor on my hands and knees this afternoon :eek: I seem to have energy!! It's Day 4 and I was expecting to feel pants but I feel really good! *peeks round corner to check if this is too good to be true?*
So far today I've had
Breakfast: Coffee with a little Vanilla shake powder and the vanilla shake with a teaspoon of decaff (to give it some flavour)
Lunch: Strawberry Shake (smells like strawberry, looks like strawberry but tastes like.......erm.......nothing! lol! Was ok though ;))
Dinnner/Tea: Will probably be a bar or Porridge...*sigh* ...decisions decisions ;);):p
