hope you're having a brilliant weekend off. I'm definitely on the meandering through December. Wish I'd had a bit more of a push up to now but I'm being kind to myself. Last year I didn't do any social stuff until Christmas itself so I'm not going to completely miss out. There is a time for being really single minded and a time for a bit more flex. But single minded come January and February but definitely with a plan that accommodates exercise for me too. I too suffer plantar fasciitis if I run but proper stretching of the calf muscles really helps. Not sure how that works but it definitely does.

Morning lovelies! Having a lovely weekend. Christmas shopping almost done:) so only feeling organised for a change.

Off plan has gone fine so far not used it as an excuse to overindulge though do feel stuffed today. Will be back on plan tomorrow and as I said if it maintian 9St 10 by end of December I'd be happy with that and anything less will be a bonus. I want to be able to strike a balance of socialising and not overindulging and I managed it in the bst for a while and hoping to get there again. I think there is still s ole for single mindedness and for me Jan and Feb and early March is when I will up the ante for myself.
 
Good detoxify yesterday after weekend off plan. Scale showed gain (glycogen hopefull) 9.11.0! So 4lbs

had 2 egg omlette yesterday and lots of water. Strangely no hunger but probably because I was stuffed from weekend!

Evening. So far omlette fro breakfast on train (very small one!) small chicken salad for lunch and a SnS cottage pie. Don't have any bars left and as I was travelling it was easier having the omlette for breakfast. Feel exhausted as two very early mornings and 3 days of vlc's even though not exactly SNS. I think I managed to stick to plan yesterday because I was so full...I think I've said it be off eimeither find it really easy doing vlcd or extremly difficult. Also I think the fact the gain has been at the higher end of my BMI and i look and feel fat I'm simply had to take control or stop getting fed up with myself - you know that sick and tired of being sick and tired feeling.
 
It's the hitting rock bottom for me when I get fed up with myself (and feel embarrassed about my whinging on here). I do feel urged on though once I get going and the support here is part of being able to continue or at the very least make good choices.

I know what you mean. We need to find a way to continually find that motivation though so that we don't have to get to a bad place to push us. It would be nice if we kept motivated all the time to feel good and make good choices, or maybe that's too much to expect ?

Hope you don't mind me hijacking the thread! Just wanted to say you're all doing fab!

I've just started today, 3 weeks until Christmas and I'm hoping to get a good bit of weight off.

These forums are a great support :)

Also going back to the exercising - when I did LL I went to the gym 3x a week, and found it stalled my losses 3 weeks in a row. Do you find it affects your losses? I love cycling, so may just make a point of commuting via bike

Welcome! Rachel! Hope your first day went smoothly. I think exercise on a vlcd can stall losses on the scales for some but I didn't see any affect on my losses when I've done both before and of course the inch or size loss can show more of a loss than numbers on a scale. I think as long you do what works for you that's the important thing.
 
Heya hun u will b losin tht 4lb in no time :) exercisign i find does stal ma losses :( hec ey waitin til bit closer to goal before i restrt exercise again hopefilly will do :) ur lucky in tht exercise doesnt effect ur losses :) have a fab day hun xx

Hello Katie!!! Wow! Of course I remember you! You did brilliantly and got pregnant which was your aim! Can't wait to catch up properly (did you have girl or boy not that it matters as long as baby was fit an healthy!) so exciting.

i had a anothe off plan Friday and Saturday and scale is showing 9.12.0!! I confess I did have carbs and wine. I found it very difficult to refrain from the start of the festive fun I'm afraid but I think it's because move,ber saw me some some I subconsciously allowed myself to take time out.

Well a a detox week ahead. So let's see where I endbup at the start of new year!
 
How lovely! Welcome back Katie. :) have you got your packs already? I too am intrigued whether you brought into the world a gorgeous little girl or boy! You must me over the moon, belated congrats and good luck! Look forward to reading your posts :) xx

PS: Kira, thanks for your reply - just spied it! Yeah I'm trying to go more on my clothes than anything, I still do a lot of walking just to get about to be honest, and the odd bit of cycling too. Problem last time was probably that I was doing cardio! xx

I guess if we are good 80% of the time, 20% of social splurging is ok. It's very different from bingeing- it's enjoying life and sharing with others. It may not be ideal to the waistline but it could be a lot worse and so long as we don't let it trigger a pointless sororal of guilt and eating, I think it's still perfectly possible to lose weight this way. It's kind of what I'm doing or trying to do: use packs/ low carb when I can, but still partake in social events when I should (plus am back to jogging).
As you said - meandering through December x
