Diary of a Wannanbe Skinny Mummy & Bride

Took jack to be weighed yesterday and he weighs 15lbs 11oz! He's doing great! Can't believe that since I've had him I've lost the equivalent of just under 3 and a half of him at the size he is now, it's so amazing when I see how big he is, I can't imagine having that much extra weight on me or where it was, but the scales don't lie! I'm still exclusively breastfeeding him and the midwife said I'm right not to be weaning him yet as he's obviously getting everything he needs from my milk as he's gaining brilliantly. So I have another 4 weeks of exclusive breastfeeding until he turns 6 months (it's going too fast! :() and I have to start him with solids then.

After my STS on Monday I'm trying to be super good to get a great loss this Monday coming to make up for it so I've made a chicken and veg soup which is yummy to do me yesterday and today and then I'm making a tomato and roasted red pepper soup tomorrow which should be lovely! I've got two roast dinners planned in over the weekend but will have them SW friendly with just a few syns for yorkshire puds and gravy so hoping it won't undo my hard work this week! I've been finding it hard this week for the first week since I started, wanting chocolate constantly, but I think it's because it's my first star week since I got pregnant so I've tried to control it as best I can, though I did do a slight tweak on Monday and have 5 extra syns instead of one of my healthy extras. I know, I know, tweaks are naughty! But sometimes they've just gotta be done! And if they stop you going completely off plan then I think they're ok as long as they work for you :) xx

Aww thanks hunny, I think he is, but I'm biased lol :) going to put some more up to date pics on as they only go up to 10 weeks old and he's 22 weeks old now! I bet those 5 years have flown by for you. Hope you have a lovely day too hunny xx

Oh no! Did the dr stop you flying then? I'm sorry hunny, that's rubbish :( have you managed to get a refund on your flights or can you claim it on your travel insurance seeing as you couldn't fly? Hugs hunny xx

Well its abit of a nightmare be honest, doctors will not say u cant fly unless ur eardrum has burst or is about to, they can only advice you, which means no insurance, but im still gonna give it a good go!! My earcanal and ear drum is infected and i feel deaf, so they think i have fluid behind the ear drum, all indications its not a good idea to fly! So had to make the decision myself :(
Makes it worse we was only going for a weekend to sort wedding stuff, so just my luck im in agony the whole 48 hours im there, cant even have a drink and enjoy myself (was child free!!) And then having to fly home and it probably get worse, rather lose the money and try to find the money to book a late weekend when im better !

Thankyou :) Its abit gutting but i really was uncomfrtable flying weather the doctor said i could be ok or not, i have bad luck ha x

:( well it sounds like you made the right decision hunny, it's a shame about losing the money you spent but rather that than cause any lasting damage to your hearing. Are you getting married over there then? When's the big day? I bet you're so excited :) our wedding is 31st august next year, got it all booked, just need to make sure we save up enough now! It's hard with me being on maternity leave and ben out of work, but I'll make sure we'll manage :) xx

Yeah think i made the right decision :) Yep getting married there, im getting married 28th sept :D Ohhh its exciting isnt it, thats all we need to do now, save lol! Always something that gets in the way! I only work 10 hours per week at the minute so need to get more hours, or another job!! When do you go back? xxx

I go back in January 2 days before my birthday! :( not looking forward to going back and gutted that I'm over half way through my maternity leave already, I know I should be thinking I still have four months left an enjoying them, but it's hard not to have the countdown going on in the back of my mind every day. Really not looking forward to having to leaving him at home or nursery. Wish I could be a stay at home mum but we just can't afford :( xx

I feel the same a bit, luckily I'll only have to work sixteen hours or so a week. Will have to find a new job as we moved house beginning of August to be closer to my husbands work so am technically unemployed although on maternity allowance accrued from my last job. Have recently qualified as a counsellor but the work I find is likely to have to be healthcare work- prob night shifts until the kids are both at school as my OH is a chef and five days a week works all day until about eleven at night and we can't afford much in the way of child care. A big part of me enjoys being in work however as this one is my last I really don't want to miss a moment of her growing up :(

Aww that's rubbish isn't it? Wish we could all afford to stay home with our babies, we need to win the lottery!! :) we can't really afford childcare either, we won't need it if ben can't find a job, but if he does then my family have offered to help out and we think we will just put jack in nursery once a week so that he can get to socialise with other children, as he gets a lot from the playgroups I take him to at the moment and don't want him having to stop them xx

I'm having to have an abdominal ultrasound on Monday because they think I may have gallstones. Got the appointment letter through today and they've said that the day before I'm not allowed to eat any fruit, veg, salad, wholemeal and brown bread, wholegrain breakfast cereals, nuts, digestive biscuits or brown crisp bread and that all meals must be low in fibre. Also not allowed to eat OR drink for 6 hours before the ultrasound. HELLO!!! DONT YOU KNOW I'M DOING SLIMMING WORLD??!?! That's practically everything I DO eat!!! Looks like I'll be having a red day on Sunday! HE B options will be out the window though, and I'm meant to have four a day! Have called my SW consultant to see if I can have 8 HE A options instead so that I'm still getting the calories and just waiting to hear back from her. They say it's to eliminate gas in the bowel so that they can easily see the liver, gall bladder, pancreas, kidneys and spleen.

Means I'm gonna be starving after my appointment on Monday and will probably have more than usual for my lunch and I have weigh in on Monday tea time! I don't like to eat much before hand so hoping it won't affect my weigh in too much :( xx

What Did I Do Today?
Today I left some dishes dirty;
The bed got made around 3:30.
The diapers soaked a little longer,
The odor grew a little stronger.
The crumbs I spilled the day before,
Are staring at me from the floor.
The fingerprints there on the wall,
Will likely be there still next fall.
The dirty streaks on those windowpanes
Will still be there next time it rains.
Shame on you, you sit and say,
Just what did you do today?
I held a baby till she slept,
I held a toddler while he wept.
I played a game of hide and seek;
I squeezed a toy so it would squeak.
I pulled a wagon, sang a song,
Taught a child right from wrong.
What did I do this whole day through?
Not much that shows, I guess that' s true.
Unless you think that what I've done,
Might be important to someone,
With deep blue eyes and soft blonde hair,
If that is true...I've done my share.

Thanks hunny, I know I have to keep my job, there's no way we could afford for me not to, especially a our mortgage is through my work, I'm just really not looking forward to having to leave him. I guess I'll appreciate our time together more though when we get it.

I'm into my day with hardly anything good for me food wise lol, had some porridge for breakfast, I think that will be ok, and I'm going to just have meat and potatoes for Sunday dinner with a bit of gravey so I think I'll be ok with that. If it means that I can find out what's going on with my stomach then it's worth it.

Hope you have a good day hun xx

Yeah that's so true when I started back work I couldn't wait to come home to my son and spend time with him!

Deffo worth it hun!! I hope ur not waiting too long for ur results!

I have to have a camera soon going in to my bladder an kidneys I'm so scared lol

I lost 3lbs this week! :) So pleased with that! Only 2lbs to go until my 2 and a half stone award! :)

Had my ultrasound today and the woman wouldn't tell me anything, I have to wait 4 days to call my Dr for any results so will just have to wait and see how that works out! xx

Ahhh love the scarf! Its gorgeous!!
Well done on your loss thats brilliant!!!
Hope the results come in asap xx

Thanks hunny! I hope they do too. I don't know what to hope for though, I don't want anything to be wrong of course but I also want to know what is causing the pains so I can stop them, so the best I can hope for is that they find what it is and that it's something simple to sort out xx
