Oh and chilli - it was just a bit bland really - it's 6pp per pouch and has rice in it but I wasn't impressed. Small portion and needed a bit more. It's quite expensive too - £2.95 per pouch but I have tried it now!

And I loved tea. Didn't fancy what I had planned and that's what my sd and me decided on. Yummy - loads of chipped new potatoes too so a nice big dinner.

My favourite for tea tomorrow - Spaghetti Bolognaise :)

Yea at least you know now with the chilli.Ouch not cheap as you say!
Love big dinners..easy dinner but sooo nice!
Good choice for tomorrow :0)

Where do you get them from? They sound very yummy!

I buy them from tesco but believe most supermarkets sell them. In tesco they are usually where the Ww yoghurts are. £1.50 for 4 normal price but worth it x

It's my all time favourite and I have low point lunch and breakfast to have loads of pasta. :)

And I love big dinners too. Hope you had a good day Daisy x

I like your idea of the low pointed breakfast and lunch so you can add more pasta,do you buy a sauce or make your own? I'm tempted to try my own sometime soon.
I've had a good day thanks,pie turned out well,really enjoyed it ;0)

Yeah we make our own and it's really easy.

Fry 1 onion in fry light , add mushrooms and fry (we have to cook ours separately as my hubby hates mushrooms though) add 1lb extra lean mjnce and fry - drain excess fat. Add Worcester sauce, tinned tomatoes (we prefer ours drained), 1 tbsp tomato purée, 1 tsp marmite, loads of garlic, herbs and black pepper to taste and leave to simmer for 30 minutes. Delicious :)

Also use it as a lasagne base but use more tomato purée and herbs to make it drier

Pie looked delicious. I might make one on Sunday for next week - found Lakeland sell the pie dishes I want so thinking I will get some on Friday and freeze some pies

If you leave the marmite you might want a stock cube in for beefy flavour but experiment x

That's practically identical to how I make mine... ummm Spag bol - yummy! You don't taste the marmite Daisy - it just helps to make it richer, or if you really can't bring yourself to use it, then you could try a splash of Soy sauce, which would do a similar thing.

Sorry for high-jacking this!

Think I will need to put spag bol on the menu next week now I've read this!

I don't have marmite in the house yuk! So I always crumble a couple of beef oxo cubes in makes it nice and beefy and helps to thicken it. I also add a little bit of sweetener xx

Yes, someties I add sweetener - I find it depends on the brand of tomatoes, sometimes it doesn't seem to need it. If I'm out of tomato puree I used Heinz tomato ketchup instead. If I'm making it as a chilli sauce I add chilli (duh!) and a little cocoa powder. Did we mention garlic? This is turning into '100 ways with Bolognese Sauce!'
