Diary of Poohbearmufc & Minilady

Hi Nikki

How great having to take stuff back because it's too big!:party0019: :party0019: :party0019: :party0019:

In a month or so you'll need to restart buying again. I've found that, I got a load of stuff about a month ago, because my clothes didn't fit, now I'm having to start again, as the new ones are too big!!!! Luckily most of it was bought from Primark or in sales etc. Still a waste of money though:sigh:

Well tomorrow I start the 1000 plan:eek: Bought cereal etc. I'm finding it harder to start eating again than I did stopping eating in the first place!

Weigh ins tomorrow:D I love Thursdays!!!!!!!!

Good luck for tomorrow, my weigh in tomorrow too, I think it is my 4 week cycle so not expecting too much... can't stop thinking about food, think it is because your now eating... not fair!!I have been on ebay all night, putting on my bigger 22/24 items, seems to take ages taking photo's extra... considering I only put 16 items on, and it took all nite just think how long it is going to take me to get rid of all the stuff that is in the loft that is now too big for me...Don't forget to update on here....!!Love

What with Scotts and my tattoos, Harley's beard and the fact that Cameron can do a strange unsightly contortion trick with his arms, I'm thinking perhaps we were all together in a past life in a freak show!!! Perhaps with the Elephant Man...Would explain my fascination with the film.:D

Thanks for your help with the pics...I got there in the end:)

Funny you should mention him.
we had his skeleton stick & hood at college. Fascinating, but also sad.Never the less he was a v popular chap.

Today I took Kim to see her Dr at the mental health clinic re: OCD. He's prescibed Prozac:eek: Obviously I was shocked at first as its an anti depressent, but he explained how it is used with regard to OCD (extremely fascinating). Kim is very comfortable with the idea, I however am not a pill popper by nature and prefer herbal remedies and strange things like crystal healing, but they are my views and like many other people Kim thinks it's all a load of hog wash. So the decision was hers to make and pills it is.

Kim will be monitired every step of the way with regard to side effects if any etc. and how well the drug is treating the condition, so I am not overly worried at this point. (I have snuck an amethyst and some rose quartz in her room though;) )

I know how you feel.I'd be the same.
But also if it really does help then.....fingers crossed
Well done for popping the stones in too;)

I tried on my black linen dress - size 14 from asda and it fits and I think it makes my waist look tiny!!:D  WOW well done

Ordered a number of items from next in a size 18 (cos they are not that generous) and they are all too big!!

Now what did old stingey knckers (ME) tell you a few weeks ago when you bought the stuff?:p

on the other hand it is nice when someone bids on the stuff.!

I've got so much going round in my head today, I don't know where to start with my diary post.

So here goes worrying issues:

Kim and medication:(
Thinking in fact decided (I think:eek: ) to hand in my notice at work:confused:
What work will I do:confused:
Grandma still poorly:cry:
Car falling apart, indicators not working, brake light out, front seat belt stuck, gear box leaking oil:mad:

Good things:

Lost another 2 lbs this week:D
Hubby new self employment status going great guns:D
House nearly fully refurbished:D
I'm 9 Stone 13lbs:D

So on the whole not sure if I feel good or if I feel down.

Checked out job centre today, but nothing suitable for me, I'm lucky I guess that the money I earn is for the little extras in life, and hubby earns enough to support us. However I've never been out of work, but my job is getting me down. I phoned today about a waitressing job and was asked if I was currently employed and what I did. When I told him that I was a financial assistant, he told me I probably wouldn't be suitable for the position:confused:

Waiting to hear from CD regarding becoming a CDC so hopefully could earn a little there, and also will have qualified in my nail treatments in a couple of weeks time. So I think what I'd like to do is solely work for myself, where and when I want to, and if I have to have a w....r for a boss, well that w....r might as well be me!

Scotts self employment is going great guns, I'm so happy for him, he works very hard and is good at what he does, so as soon as people heard he was going it alone, the phone hasn't stopped ringing:D I've urged him for a very long time to do this, but he has always been very hesitant, what with having 4 kids etc. But he is definately a happier guy!

As for the car, hubby is busy working ,so no time to do the little jobs that need doing!

Weight loss is brilliant, I couldn't believe it when I saw I was 9stone 13lbs, I haven't been in the 9's for over 18 years!!!!

Enough rambling:eek:

I'd say try to leave the things that you can't influence & concentrate the worry onthose you can.
= principally to resign or not to resign & what to do next.
Which then leads to saving the cash to pay for car repairs.

hope grandma gets better soon.did yuo saywhat 's wrong with her?

Your H's success is excellent . Does it mean that ,if necessary, you could have asmall break between jobs ,while yuo find the best one around?

Yes I think I'm going to have all the summer off:D Hopefully earn a small amount if I become a CDC and also I'll have my qualification in Nail techniques in a couple of months. So thinking I can earn enough with all that.

Scott earns enough really anyway, however I have always been an independent lassy and I like to earn my own money too.

My Grandma has lots of issues bless her, but the latest is cancer of the blood, she's on tablet form chemo and is really quite poorly. She's 87 and such a battler:D

I do feel like my life is changing, I'm so much more confident in my decisions...is it losing weight or turning 40, I don't know, maybe a combination of both.

I handed in notice today, and have been very touched at peoples responses. Even the Chief Exec told me he'd miss my smiling face, directness and honesty!!! what a compliment:eek:. My partners in crime, Elaine and Stuart were quite upset. I'm sure some will be pleased to see the back of me though:p

I've told them I'll keep popping in to see them though, Stu and Elaine I see socially anyway.

Feeling good today though, bwetter now the deed is done!

Going to see Grandma tomorrow.

Oh Jane forgot to mention the skeleton etc. Bit of a coincidence! I'd love to see that.

That'd be my guess.but age happens daily for ever, but the weight loss has come on you all of a sudden

Now why doesn't this surprise me?

yeah, you become immune to work stresses etc once you've resigned.Nice feeling

Going to see Grandma tomorrow.

Well I can pm you where he lives..unless they've come over all politically correct & put him to bed somewhere.
The problem is that as part of a college museum they were pretty tight about not letting the public in..but again that was many years ago.
If you want to know just say & I'll Pm you his where abouts.

End of a rainy weekend!!!!!

Car is fixed:D Hubby got stressed as it took him ages to figure out the wiring problems with the indicators.

Went to see Grandma and had the lovely task of giving her and my grandad a pedicure each. Wouldn't have been so bad, but made me think of pork scratchings and I began to drool:eek: However both seem fine and Grandma is half way through her treatment and doing well.

Definately not in ketosis anymore. I was very scared of coming out of it as it felt a safe and comfy state to be in. I had visions of eating everything in site and craving bad foods and feeling hungry all the time again. But no...this has not happened, appetite is coming back slowly, but I haven't felt hungry after a meal or wanted to pick. So am settling into the swing of the 1000 plan quite nicely. The different varieties of food I can eat now is great and I'm enjoying every mouthful.

Hubby has noticed that I eat a lot slower now!! I hadn't realised til he mentioned it. He's right it takes me twice the time to eat a meal than it did. I wonder if it's because I'm appreciating the food I eat rather than taking it for granted.

Weighed myself today (couldn't resist) and I've lost 2lbs since Thursdays weigh in, I was extremely surprised as my losses have gradually decreased, and now I'm eating more I thought it would slow even more. Very strange:confused: Maybe those few extra calories have boosted my metabolism!?

Hi Tracey,You are doing fantastic!! It has been a very wet weekend here too, very nervous for my interview tomorrow!! think that is leading me to picking more chicken, but at least it is just chicken and nothing else (like chocolate!!).. really missing food now, think it is cos I am starting to get to the end, and getting loads of compliments!Anyway, will see how it goes, 12 years since my last interview so we will see...Love

What time is the interview? Let me know so I can send positive thoughts your way!

I hate interviews, I am never really myself, I get so nervous, which then makes me say stupid things!

At the interview I had for my current/nearly over job, I was asked how I coped with stress, my reply was 'I take drugs', which in my nervous state was quite funny (to me anyway), I was interviewed by a panel of 3 people, who just looked at each other, I then felt so silly and told them I was joking. My friends and family thought it was hysterical that I'd said that and noone thought I'd get the job. Much to their and my amazement I did!!

Good luck for tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!
