Ding Dong the Enemy's dead!

Good for you on the exercise Mary, you know it will work. I think it's just a case of getting in the habit of doing it really. Easier said than done, I know!

Morning Girlies

Well first morning back in work. Had a gain from the jollies, and I am now weighing 10st 12lbs. I didnt manage to get on yesterday as I was batch cooking lentil soup, casseroles, shepherds pies etc, so I am now back on the band-wagon, the holiday is over :kissass:

I hate the first day back in work, its yeuchy, but I have looked at my rota and I think I will be booking 4 days off in August, so my last day in work should be 2nd August and then returning on Aug 15th, so hopefully I can manage another week in Icmeler in that time - woohoo, at least that brings a little smile to my face hehe.

Todays Food.

Breakfast - Porridge.
Snack - Apple.
Lunch - Home made lentil soup with 2 slices of nimble wholemeal bread. Sugar free jelly with berries.
Snack - 2 tangerines.
Dinner - Kipper, salad.

Exercise starts tonight when I get home from work, as I didnt get time to start it yesterday.

A little gain is only to be expected really isn't it Mary? I hate the first day back to work after hols too, back to reality with a bump!

Your menu looks really good for today and you'll be exercising too, good for you. You'll drop those extra few pounds in no time.

LOL Bev, I NEVER come home from holidays expecting a STS or a loss, I know what I am like on holiday and 7lbs is better than the Spain holiday in April, where I gained 8lbs. So all in all, I am not disappointed or surprised by the gain, infact, I expected it to be a little more.

Really looking forward to the exercise tonight, I have instructed Phill NOT to have anything ready for me as I am going straight on the treadmill.

BTW, you are doing excellent with your losses, you will soon be where you want to be Bev.

I don't think 7lbs is bad at all Mary. Like you said, it could have been a lot worse!!

Good for you with getting on the treadmill later, I'm walking tonight, it's the first time for a week cos of my bad back. Hope I'll be OK.

Hoping to get back to the gym next week, don't want to rush things.

Thanks for the encouragement on the losses, feeling much happier with myself now, I feel as though I fit in more and don't stand out because of my weight, which is all I want really. Tried on a size 16 petite dress from M&Co, that I wore last summer to a wedding, and it fits lovely now already. Really pleased!

That gives you a right boost when you can get back into clothes and the main thing is feeling good about yourself while you are in them.

Glad your back is feeling a bit better, you will probably really enjoy your walk later.

I think 7lbs is reasonable for a good 2 week hol. And I know how yucky getting back in the old routine feels but great to give yourself something to look forward to ie. August! It doesn't seem quite so bad then AND added incentive to shift thet gain :)

Bev - glad your back feels good enough to go for a walk but don't overdo it now!! ;) And great about that dress - I love it when that happens :) xx

I cant believe it, but I AM actually looking forward to the treadmill tonight :)

ARE YOU MAD WOMAN??????????? ;) xx

Food looking grand today mrs :)

Hope you enjoy the treadmill as much as you are looking forward to it - let us know how you find it :) xxx

well you never know I might see you in october,in icmeler, going to see how the funds go, cos I think I might have to help my daughter buy a car,. They are just moving house, so need their money for that. I too gained on holiday, I dont know how much cos did not get weighed straight away, although was five pounds up when I did and trying hard to shift it now ready for a wedding on saturday. GOOD LUCK with getting back on the bandwagon.

Good luck to you too Joy, I am sure you will soon lose those 5lbs.

Well girls, I did it :p
I walked for 2 minutes, jogged for 1 minute, I did this 6 times, which took me to 18 minutes, then I walked for a further 4 minutes, so 22 minutes in total. My heart rate got up to 134 as I was jogging, then settled around 104 while walking, so I will keep an eye on this and see how it improves. Calories burned were 76. So a good start and I am fairly proud of myself (Mrs NON Exerciser) :)

My inside thighs hurt a little this morning, but not too bad at all.

Todays Food.

Breakfast - Swiss Bircher (an oldchem recipe from my WW Core days)

Snack - Apple.

Lunch - Small salad, 8 slices of wafer thin ham, 3 ryvita. Small tub of sugar free jelly with berries.

Snack - 2 Tangerines.

Dinner - Salad, Tuna. Sugar free jelly with berries, Greek yogurt and a teaspoon of honey.

I feel so much better today as yesterday I still felt groggy from the holiday, I also felt chesty, feverish and my voice was a little hoarse, but today, top of the world.

Hope you all have a lovely day.

Edit - 2 small pieces of Turkish delight, but thats it all finished now.

Well done on the treadmill work Mary, sounds as though you enjoyed it too! Good for you. I bet your heart rate will get less and less every time you do it.

Glad you're feeling so much better today, I always feel a little unwell when coming back from hols, my body just doesn't want to come home I put it down to! Stick with the treadmill if you can, I bet you notice a healthy difference in a week!

Thanks Bev, I did enjoy it - surprisingly. Even after about the 4th repetition, I felt like giving up, I pushed myself to carry on, just another one time, then when I finished that one, I pushed to do the last one, as I only ever intended to do the 22 minutes anyway. I will stick to this for a few days, then up the running from a minute to 2 minutes.

Well done Mary, that's a really good start. Building up gradually is the way to go. Mind you if you want any tips on running, Tanya's the best one to ask on that one. I never could run, always got too out of breath. One of my aims is to get on a treadmill at the gym and start running. I will start that once I've dropped some more weight!

I have just read the couch to 5k details, and its similar to what I am doing at the moment, so I will just do it a week at a time and gradually build up. Luckily I am inside on the treadmill and not outside in all weathers lol.

:party0049: Whooooooooooo!!! Get in there mrs non exercise!! :) Well done mary. Food looking grand too today.

Couch to 5k - im raving about it to everyone :giggle: 2 of my friends in work have just signed up for the 10k challenge and ive told them about couch to 5k as they don't ever do any exercise so personally i think its a good way to get ya going :)

Something not right here though Tanya, I actually enjoyed it last night, and I am looking forward to doing the same again tonight.

Tomorrow and Friday I am nightshift, so I will do half an hour on the Wii fit tomorrow, then treadmill again on Friday. Go meeeee.........lol.
