Ding Dong the Enemy's dead!

2 :D:D:D - I'm just off to start a ticker for it :)

Yeah I'm not worried about the physical aspects of travelling with the wheelchair, I know they're very good and there's lots of assistance. It's more managing Mum's needs but it'll be fine. As for my sister ...? Let's just say we get on much better when there's 2000 miles between us ;)
But I'm sure we'll all survive xx

Older (7yrs) Always right, Loaded but a skinflint, totally self-absorbed (never had any children, now on her 3rd husband) and paranoid that everything I say is a crticism aimed at her. Just too much like hard work tbh. Oh and has no understanding of caring for someone disabled so is fairly useless at helping with Mum ......

...... but apart from that she's lovely :D ;) xx

Oh dear, well fingers and everything else crossed that things are good when you are together. Makes it a little awkward when you know how some people are going to be - and that's even before you get there!

Doesn't sound like much of a hol for you jan with how your sister is but it's for your mum so I'm sure you will grin and bear it! :)

Marrrry! You are too good to be true! :giggle:

Well done Mary, doing a fab job! Go you on the exercise, sounds as though you've got things well under control.

I have an older sister very similar Jan, haven't spoken to her for 9 years now and I'm very happy about that and we still live in the same town! I wish we had 2000 miles between us too.

Thank you Bev.

I have given the treadmill a miss today, apart from being nightshift last night and again tonight, I feel a little stiff, so having already done it 3 times this week, I will now wait until either Saturday or Sunday before going on the Treadmill again. I did do 30 sit-ups though.

Food today.

Snack - small piece of honeydew melon.

Breakfast - Porridge with a teaspoon of Turkish beautiful honey.

Dinner - Steamed smoked river cobbler, salad.

Supper - 3 ryvita, spread with a mix of mayo extra lite and a little english mustard. 6 slices wafer thin ham, salad. Sugar free raspberry jelly with berries, greek yogurt, teaspoon of honey.

Snack - 1 apple 3 tangerines.

Don't over do it Mary, especially starting off. Listen to yer body and if yer stiff do like today and give it a miss :) Well done on the 30sit ups - you are putting me to shame here!!! :giggle:

Dont worry Tanya, I wont over-do it. I felt it a little bit last night, and to be honest, between both 12 hour night-shifts, I think running on the treadmill is the last thing that would turn me on haha.

Well impressed Mary!!!!! But, you need to give a break every day inbetween for the lactic acid, etc, etc......you will just burn yourself out too and then it wont become enjoyable. Time is just so precious and I know trying to fit everything is a presure and if you think you have got to do the treadmill every night it might just start being a chore rather than a pleasure :)))

Your food is looking brilliant and you have definately got back into it straight away! Well done you.

Menu looking great Mary :)

Bev - we have never actually fallen out, but we're chalk and cheese and always manage to rub each other up the wrong way. Probably that 2000 miles is keeping us on good (ish) terms! ;) xx

I am definitely only going to do it every second day now, with maybe the odd 2 days on the trot, just to make up for when I work nights, because I know I wouldn't want to do anything between these two 12 hour nightshifts.

Menu looking great Mary :)

I find the meals are really filling too, its an added bonus to love salad and veggies.

Mary, looks like you had a lovely holiday and even better, have another to look forward to pretty soon. That will keep you focussed for the coming weeks. You did not do too much damage and will soon have it knocked off again. Enjoy.

Yesterday, strange day, but nice.

Got up at 11:20am. Had breakfast of 1 rasher bacon, scrambled egg, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes. Then had some honeydew melon.

Went out to the club and drank copious amounts of Mr Smirnoff and diet coke. The only thing I ate last night was a few slices of wafer thin ham. Not good on the food front.

Today, is going to be better.

Breakfast - 2 slices of seeded bread toasted with a scraping of butter. (needed to soak up the voddie) Honeydew melon.

Dinner - Chicken stir fry with noodles. Sugar free jelly with berries, greek yogurt and a teaspoon of lovely Turkish honey.

Supper - 3 ryvita with extra lite mayo, grated cheese, cucumber, pickled onions..

Edit - 1 apple. a few teaspoons of minced beef. 1 mint kit-kat, 1 caramel kit-kat, packet of cheese and onion crisps - gotta stop now!

HaHa - lovin' the 'soak up the vodka' breakie ;) - mind you you didn't have anything to soak it up last night! I'd have been on the floor - depending of course on whether our definitions of 'copious amounts' are the same ;) xx

Well I know I had 9 x 35mls of voddie at the club, then a good few glasses at home, but I didnt count them or measure them, they just get poured into a large glass lol.

I cant even remember what time we went to bed. We had the neighbour in with her little shitsu (sp) and then our friends came up for the evening. Singing, music playing, even the weighing scales were in the gazebo this morning, so I haven't got a clue why I brought them down, but I know I weighed everyone.....lol.

Sounds like a good day kid!! :D:D .... And yes thet definitely counts as copious amounts ;):)

Now go check the bin for wrappers of stuff you've forgotten you ate ... that's what I have to do ;) LOL!! :D:D

LOL, I didnt eat anything else, apart from a corner of Phills cream cracker with cheese.

Already checked the bin too hehe.
