Evening folks!
Ooh it seems ages since I've been on here!
I've had a really busy few days with work, visiting relatives and meals out etc. so I have a lot to bring u up to date with.
But by far my biggest, most important and pretty amazing news is that the chest surgeon is as confident as he can be that mum does NOT have lung cancer.
In fact he doesn't think she has cancer at all, despite telling her a month ago that she had lymphoma. Having studied the lab reports of her biopsies, he thinks she may have a problem with her immune system. And he has no idea what the tumours are on her lungs, and its possible they won't ever find out, but they're pretty sure its not cancer.
So we're obviously over the moon, but sadly too scared to really celebrate in case they change their minds again. The plan for the immediate future is that they will monitor her closely with scans and blood tests...she actually has one next week.
Now, moving on to wi last night...
I gained 6lbs which was a teeny bit less than I thought, and certainly less than I deserved after all the bad stuff I've eaten!
So I'm now 7lbs over target and I've decided to try to lose it again by the end of January, which should be perfectly do able, I think!
Had a wonderful Indian meal last night with my old school friend Frances and her husband. We just went to the local restaurant, but the food and service was absolutely spot on! And the waiter even gave Frances the pot her ice cream came in to take home with her!
And now for today.
Gwyn had his stitches out and they're very pleased with how he's healing. We shud get the results by post.
Work was rather bad with a couple of vehicles breaking down and lack of staff on the road.
But it was brightened by the light of my life having coffee with me!
Tbh I was starting to think I was never going to live it down...not doing coffee for a week...so I thought it best that we meet up! Twas very nice Sarah, but you weren't of course, so that's alright!
And then of course we hit the all u can eat buffet tonight. And we did! We managed 14 courses between us lol! Not bad going!
And the lovely not nice Sarah gave us the very nice Christmas presents of home made raspberry vodka, and home made whiskey cream (which we had when we got home and was totally gorgeous!), and an invitation to go chocolate making with Sarah! Perfect!
And Andrew, Doug, vicki and Matt are all home from Newcastle having had a really great time there.
Oh, and I forgot to say Daniel went to the pictures last night with the hussy nurse that gave him her number and they got on well, so I think he's seeing her again on new years eve!
Here's a few more pics from tonite...
