DOING SW FROM HOME???

Hey all! So sorry ive neglected you all lately!
Welcome to the Newbies and Well Done for all the losers!!
I've decided to stop going to class and go it alone! I know I can do it on my own but with loads coming up I didn't want to pay to be weighed only to be told I've sts or gained! Plus my friend decided to stop going so it made me realise I'm paying £5 per week when I know what im doing now!
I am going to WI on a Wed morning now...I've weighed today and I've gained 1/2 a pound so I'm happy with that with what I've ate n drunk this week! I'm not gunna put myself under loads of pressure to lose each week as I'm slowing it down now. I'm 6lb off my target at class so I'm aiming for that for Xmas but won't be too disappointed if I don't achieve it as got loads of night outs planned!

Good luck all xx

Charl hope your little one is feeling better this morning, brave little soldier.
I might give the lasagne a go next week on my day off, can anyone send me a link for a tasty recipe? Or a link for syn free/low syn white sauce since i am capable of making my own bolognaise sauce :)
Did day 3 of shred today, going to have to give it a miss tomorrow because i'm leaving for work at 6.30am, someone i know has made me feel bad about missing one day of it - what do you lot think? I'm back on it friday, but wont be doing it weekend as i'm away. x
Welcome back Tilly I know what you mean about paying for group just to be told you've STS especially if you don't get any support from the consultant or rest of the group..

Urghh did it again crafty midweek weigh in and I'm back up by a pound since Saturday...

Ended up having a flexisyn day yesterday due to hubs finally bringing my birthday cake in from the car where it's been since Saturday apparantly...( good job it is Nov and not June) plus a bottle of wine my friend gave me after lunch... so back to basics today..,, homemade lasagne with peppers instead of pasta sheets for dinner and pumpkin soup with maybe a toasted sandwich as I'm going to do a red day.. and just a few syns on options hot chocolate later..

Have a good day all and hope little un isn't too bad today...

Hi

I used to go to slimming world classes last year but stopped going as I found them slightly patronising. I have not been sticking to any diet since and have gained 8lbs so have decided to follow the principles at home and wondered if I could join your thread?

I am a 36 year old mother of 3 boys, 20, 4 and 3. :)

Morning everyone and welcome new comers.

This morning put my size 20 jeanes on and they were annoying me being too big. A while ago, I bought a couple of size 16 trousers hopeing to fit in to them at some stage. Decided to try them on and one fits perfectly but the other one M&S one a tad tight - never ever managed to fit into M&S size 16 before. Also the other day went to Primark and tried on a coat that caught my eye. Size 16 fitted nicely execpt being about an inch tight around my chest. Woohoo size 16 is in sight. Not saying all size 16s fit me but getting there. Target is to get into a size 14 trousers by christmas.

That's fantastic hun, well done! It's such a good feeling fitting into smaller clothes. You'll be in those 14s soon enough :)

Welcome only me! We are all chatty, lovely and very supportive here!

Toni, missing the shred one day is totally fine. Don't listen to whoever said you shouldn't! No one will ever do the shred every single day!!

Ooh I do love trying on old clothes and seeing the difference whether they are too big now our only just fit. Well done!

Thanks Charl, it definitely felt like a big effort at the time haha! Glad little jack's op went well - don't feel bad for getting upset, it us a hard thing to see your kid like that - I've seen my mum cry enough times when I've had an operation or something :) how is he doing today?

Feeling pretty good food wise - only 1.5 syns so far so I might buy a milky way bar to Munch on on the bus home :)

How is everyone else going? What's for dinner? Xx

Thanks everyone.

Thinking of having a shredded lamb salad for dinner tonight. Will post pic in my diary.

Whooo that sounds lovely could you post the recipe please ?

I'm going to do a pulled pork dish one night I think if I can find one to adapt.

Well done on the losses bet you're loving trying on new stuff and rediscovering old faves again

I'm working late tonight so am going to have a quick and easy dinner - lean ham, egg and sw chips with salad. I like this because it feels naughty and it isnt hehe :)

Jen - I didnt think many people actually do it for the 30 days straight. My OH's cousin is a personal trainer and she said that i should have a day where i either have a break or do something different to avoid injury. Will be walking to and from work which totals 30mins anyway so its not like i'll be a total sloth :D

Welcome only me :wavey: We are indeed a chatty bunch...

Toni I'd like to see whoever upset you over the shred do it everyday themselves, don't let them make you feel bad about not doing it every single day :hug99:

God I'm so hungry today had breakfast, just had two rashers of bacon that hubs cooked for me and I'm still starving hungry about to go and eat lunch now... I hate feeling so hungry on a red day.. think I'll have a tuna toastie with my soup nom nom..

It is like pulled pork. Put a piece of lamb with salt, pepper, spices and about a cup of water on boil. Then turn the heat down and allow it to took until lamb can be pulled off - check from time to time to enusre it is not sticking to pan. You can serve it in a pitta brea, with veg or in a sald. Tonight, I am serving it on a salad and youghrt dressing.

You can do this with any meat (pork, lamb, chicken, beef) and add any spices you like and a bit of balsamic vinegar.

Aw thanks hun :) I shouldn't feel bad, i will have done 4 days this week plus walking and i've eaten well all week. Shouldn't let other people influence my thinking. Over the weekend we're visiting family and they have 2 boys, 7 and 11 years old, so i'm sure they'll keep me on my toes!
