Hahah so I've done that too but wasn't courageous enough to admit it.
If you're just starting out (I think you are) try and use your syns. It really helps the losses, 10/12 even 15 is fine and you totally should. The choc and fudge alpen bars are really nice and you get 2 as a hexB so you can spread them through the day.
I'm the opposite I wish I could have more hex's as I love cheese and bread xx

I put a weeks SW diet into myfitnesspal and was shocked at how much I was consuming calorie wise, It was a real eye opener, then it struck me yes some of the SW food is free but when I looked at the packets they served two people and there was I eating the whole thing to myself so I started keeping track more on portion size.
I found red left me leaving less bloated, plus I can eat cheese twice a day..... The only trouble with red is having potatoes with the skin on is limiting to wedges or chips, I don't like the skin on a baked potato although I don't mind it eaten in other ways. I'm a bit scared to try a green day I tried one Sat and ended up with the worst indigestion and stomach ache imaginable for two hours I could barely move and was drinking peppermint tea by the gallon to try and ease it.
It think trying a mix was a good idea Charl, I think the metabolism gets shook up more with changes between diets, it'll be interesting to see what your weight loss is (4 1/2lb sounds great even if they are on your moms scales) it gives you a lift seeing it dropping
Bad couple of days here i've been an emotional wreck and unfortunately I eat when stressed/upset. I am not sure how much of this week I can salvage as I have so much going on.
*marital problems* along with a gazillion kids hosp appts and a stolen/recovered damaged 3 grand motorbike to contend with. Then a family thing going on at an all you can eat buffet on Sunday. I think I am just going to aim for damage limitation (if I can even manage that)
I am so tired and worn out.
Hopefully I will be back next week with renewed enthusiasm?
