One of my cats is a big fat homebody, but his brother is a little wanderer.
A couple of years ago he used to wander all the time, and I'd regularly get calls from all the neighbours where he'd settled into their house. Once he was gone three days and came home smelling like Channel No5! Another time he disappeared for a week, and I only got him back after I put posters up and a nervous young Polish girl called me and admitted she'd "adopted" him.
But we've move twice since and he's been o,k the last year or so, and then suddenly he's been gone for 2 days.
Hes microchipped and has a collar, andI'm sure he's just in someone's house, but in the back of my mind I'm just scared he's been hurt (I've lost 4 cats to road accidents).
And his poor brother won't settle without him here
jezzi999 said:They're a nightmare the pair of them, give me nothing but worry no sign as yet but I'll keep my fingers crossed. Meanwhile the non-wanderer eats my headphones cable. Thank god I don't have actual children I couldn't cope Roth the worry.

peacelily said:Oh that's a common one in my house. Dog used to love chewing my headphones. But it was always the bit that went into my ear. Yuck. She doesn't get the chance any more as I never leave them out so not sure if it would still happen. Ended up buying from hmv as you can take out an insurance policy (about £3.99 I think) and they will replace them free even if the dog/cat chews them. Was well worth it as I had to go back three times within 1 year and they didn't question it. I lost mine last week so not covered sadly. Had to buy new full price ones!
hendopig said:DYJHIW no one wants to mention the cancer word at home but it seems to be on every poster, TV channel, radio, someone's relative has it, the SW mag has a sad story on it (same type as your dads unfortunately) It's just everywhere when you're trying to hide from it.
Sorry for the miserable-ness :-( dad was diagnosed with multiple cancers in April and its now November and he's still alive albeit in lots of pain and seeing the lady's husband was gone in 7 months (when it has spread to less places) scares the sh*t out of me.
