Don't you just hate it when....

Dyjhiw your youngest has his induction day at big school tomorrow

hope it goes well

you are up from 4.30am cause your youngest went to the toilet then was sick :(

... When you feel absolutely exhausted.... Not sure if it's the naughty painkillers I shouldn't have taken on Monday still having an effect, or if it's because of the new ones I've been prescribed... Yuck! Parents evening after work tonight too so probably won't get home till 7ish x

oh no :(, that doesnt sound good

awww bless, just try to let it sink it if you can & take one day at a time. remember we are all here if you need a shoulder x

So sorry to hear this Gill.... Both my parents are diabetic.. My dad injects 4 times a day... I know it's a shock now but it is manageable (((hugs))) xxx

My mums been injection diabetic for 30 years, stay strong xx

Big hugs, Gill. I work in a primary school where we have two insulin dependent children and they're brilliant with how they cope. We obviously have to monitor their food intake, working out how much insulin they need, etc. but, to be honest, they just carry on as normal! They let us know if they think they need a snack and they do their own finger pricking, without batting an eyelid! They're incredible and both know how much glucose, etc., is in certain foods when they queue up for their lunches. Obviously, it's a huge shock and dreadful for you as a parent but, like the others have said, take one day at a time. All the best. xx

When a simple hospital appointment for your 11yr old turns into a type 1 diabetes diagnosis :,( devastated

Oh hun I feel for you. My mum has been type 1 since my sister was born, some 30 odd years ago. I can recommend Balance magazine (not sure if can post the link but its easy to find on google).

Its probably mind blowing right now but I am sure it will come in time. You are yours are in my thoughts x

Hi Gill you know where I am hun as I said in my text if ever you need an ear to bend, Michelle is right though kids are tough. It will take some getting your heads around after such a shock xx

Dyjhiw...

You can't sleep!

And hubby feels the need to check the account excessively then question you about transactions you've made and why!! Ffs!!

Me & OH have our own bank account & a joint one for bills, something we've always done & I love it, I'd hate to know how much he spends when he goes to watch football, I have no idea how much he takes with him on those days. My friend can't understand why we don't just have one account with both wages going in etc, but not for me, OH would be the same as yours questioning everything, ;)

We haven't got a joint account and I don't think we ever will.... As long as he gives me the usual amount each month for bills and stuff then what he does with what's left of his wages is his business (not that it's a huge amount) .... I would hate to know what he does with it and I'd only get stressed if I did know. I like it like this and that's how it's staying...... Unless he wins the lottery or gets a well paid job.... Then I'll quite gladly share his money lol xxx
