Did anything happen with the one who asked you on a date or did you decide against it?


I got a valentines card and box of chocolates today as well, which I really wasn't expecting as my boyfriend is dead against valentines (I suppose I can't complain, he tells me he loves me most days... possibly every day and buys me nice treats random times and when I really need them... he actually made me cry when I didn't get that job I was relying on because he came home from work with a big bunch of flowers for me) but he bought them from my son, so I was woken up by my gorgeous 4 year old shoving them in my face and saying happy balentines day.. bless :)

Thats really sweet!! You are very lucky!! I didnt get as much as a card this morn, my partner doesnt have a sentimental bone in his body!! Though he is taking me out for a meal tommorow night, even though it was my idea!! Actually reading yours and writing mines has made me feel a bit gutted actually!! Im a really sentimental, romantic person at heart xx

Snap! My boyfriend thinks its a waste of money! I didn't get a birthday or a Christmas card either :(

Aww sorry didn't mean to rub anyone's face in it, I didn't expect anything this morning.

Mine hates cards as well, but he does buy them (but won't spend a fortune on them) I asked my mum to pick up a card for his Birthday for me recently and she was really funny about it saying I should pick it, I was like seriously, pick the cheapest one that says boyfriend and he'll love it lol. He has picked a nice card for me from my son though.

No at all hun!! Be proud your man thinks of you like that!! Its the thought that counts love!! Id be happy wi a £1 card from asda lol!! At least it would show he cared xx

I agree, Valentine's is expensive and a rip off, If you cant show you love your OH most day's, Valentines aint gonna make much difference!! If I didn't have a birthday/christmas card I think there be divorce on the cards, I don't care about a prezzie, just a card will do..........If there's £20 inside I wont mind pmsl :) x
 
I never get a valentines day card & it doesn't bother me. I had to laugh recently it's my birthday on 25th Jan & on the morning I was packing my bag for our wkend away & he said 'Oh are you packing your cards for tomorrow?' to which I replied, it's my birthday today!, anyway the next day, he had a reminder on his phone 'Michelle's birthday', honestly we've been together 30 years, if he doesn't know now he never will!
 
I didnt get anything either lol but nor did hubby. Weve not bought Valentines cards since just after we were married, I did however get a bottle of perfume about 8 yrs ago which was unexpected lol

Maybe thats why im a bit upset today coz he actually doesnt show it any time of the year tbh n i agree valentines can be a rip off but it doesnt cost much for a card esp when you know what it would mean to the other person!! N as far as birthdays and xmas cards go he's hopeless then aswell, its usually whatever sh*te the corner shop has lying about!! N i have to arrange a restaurant or night away!! Im just a hopeless romantic at heart and need to give myself a shake lol!! Xx

SORRY!! i think he needs a kick in the pant's area!! I have been married 16 years this year @ hubby can tell you every year what day and date of wedding anniversary, 1st date we went on, and tonight he's been saving up for a chinese, even though we are tight for money at the moment. I TRULY LOVE HIM <3 <3 xx
