My curries are never the same twice as I never write down which spices I add!
Roughly, from memory, the spinach curry goes something like this:
Tin tomatoes (blended), tin plum tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, 100g of red lentils (cooked seperately), medium sized potato (cooked seperately) diced, mustard seeds, 2 garlic cloves chopped, tumeric, garma masala, cumin seeds, 1 red chilli, 1 green chilli.
Basically, fry the mustard and cumin seeds, garlic and chillis in fry light then add the rest of the ingredients except the spinach - add a bag of spinach about 10 mins before serving. It does make quite a 'mushy' curry, but we quite like that. The points come from the potato and the lentils. I suppose you could experiment and miss them out but the lentils and potato makes it very filling.
Am on holiday from work this week so wont be counting steps as I have stuff like decorating to do so might not have time for much walking. I SHALL be sticking to points though!
Ah Jen, thanks for popping by. I hope Feb is just a blip - I was a bit disappointed as I thought I had done OK, especially making the effort to do my 10,000 steps! Looking back on my diary though I see that I did go over my points a few days so I guess I must just try and stick to them! I am a slow loser anyway so I was probably being a bit optimistic wanting to lose 6lb, but 2lb was a bit of a let down!! Anyway, like you say, March is a new month so lets forget February and go for it in March!
Lunch: Lunch out at Franky & Benny's and this seemed like the safest option. Didn't eat the garlic ciabatta as I hate butter of any description. 9.5 seemed a lot of points for this meal so not sure if I should deduct anything for the ciabatta which automatically comes with this meal?
