Em's diary

It's great to read your diary Emm...

Thanks Jo, am glad you're enjoying it :)

B: 2 toffee muffins
L: Leftover turkey from yesterday and saturday
D: Rosemary & mint meatballs (about 15 I think) with quark and mint dip
S: Rest of muffins (3) & small bowl sweetened yoghurt

I was reminded about some jeans I bought for rather a lot of money about 10 years ago that I think I only wore once or twice and thought I'd try them on today - they fit! 32 waist they are, and I'd go so far as to say they're a little loose - wearable, but maybe not for long.

Also got refitted for a bra today and have gone down a whopping 2 back sizes! Am looking forward to tomorrow when I will no longer feel like I'm rolling round inside my cups, :)

B: 2 toffee muffins
L: 1 fillet smoked mackerel, 2 slices smoked salmon, pack of fridge raiders
D: About 2 breast fillets worth of turkey marinaded in luc lac
S: Rest of muffins (3), about 1/3 pack beef jerky

Brilliant on the jeans and bra sizes.
It's super frustrating to try things on and realise you're a bit late and not going to get much wear but thrilling too.

and the trouble with jeans is that they relax... so we really ought to start the day uncomfortable! aaaah!

So spill the beans - bra size? It's good to get measured - I realised after being measured at M&S that I'd been buying the wrong back and cup size since getting to target! (needed wider back and smaller cup boooo! 36A now, but I definitely grew boobs (fat?) back after Christmas with the stone weight gain!)

Down to a 32GG. Same cup size but the cups shrink with the back size so still smaller in front too if you follow. Will be getting max wear from my jeans until they're too big. Shame dress down day isn't till the end of the month!

You only get dress down monthly?

When I started here we didnt have it at all which was weird, but now we're casual all the time - I'm glad no need to replace 'work clothes' as I get smaller.

Lucky peeps. We only get casual clothes day when the kids are doing a fundraiser! But in my role I suppose I cannot partake in that now.

We have dress down here every Friday but, surprisingly, general office dress is far more casual than in London. I thought the French would be so chic and I was surprised to see people (at my level) in separates.

Emma - it looks to me as if you have some going spare... care to share?

With pleasure Jo, if I could I would! Am thinking I might seriously need to consider a lift at the end of this, is not pretty braless!

And yes, dress down only on the last Friday of the month, boo!

B: 2 toffee muffins
L: Half mince frittata
D: Sirloin steak with garlic quark sauce and asparagus
S: Rest of toffee muffins (3)

Hey well done on the clothes Em! I too love thst feelign of being able to fit into something, especially something you've never really been able to fit into (WE'VE ALL DONE IT!)

thanks mouse, it's a good feeling - weird though - I look at stuff and think I'll never fit in that, and then I do - it's mental.

Today:
B: 2 toffee muffins
L: 1 fillet smoked mackerel, small amount of left over luc lac turkey
D: turkey and prawns marinated in garlic, lemon, pepper & thyme
S: Rest of muffins (3)

Good on u emmma I think clothes are certainly a big motivator for me too! I love getting dollied up! And the feeling of knowing u look good as u browse around d shops even in pair of nice jeans and top on a Saturday is hard to beat! Can't waia to get to where u are! Well done!!

Thanks Smurfette, it does feel good - I always hated shopping as I felt everything in the sizes that I needed looked awful so I didn't want to go shopping and have bought new clothes only very sporadically and in dire need over the past few years. Am really looking forward to a proper expedition once I'm at goal. I have a few new bits now and some old stuff that I've not worn in years that will tide me over till then and then I'll be going for a major overhaul of the wardrobe! With 4 weddings in the diary this year it will be really nice to know I'll look good in something slinky for those :)

In other news... this morning my boiler was officially pronounced dead :( My boiler engineer is a real sweetheart though, he's going to forego taking his boys to football tomorrow so he can come and install a new one for us - I've just made him a delicious smelling banana loaf cake as a thankyou (and no - I'm still not even slightly tempted! Amazing what this diet has done for my willpower - I'm just not bothered about anything that would be bad for me)

Today:
B: 2 toffee muffins
L: quarter of mince frittata (made this one with different mince and it wasn't as nice)
D: About 300g luc lac beef
S: 3 or 4 slices smoked salmon, rest of muffins (3)

Sorry about the boiler.
Hope you're having the weather we've hot, sunshine and blue skies :)

Well done keeping up the resistance.

Sorry to hear about your boiler - at least it is a little milder at the moment. I am loving the muffins with the plumped up gojis in them - you should try.

thanks guys - the new boiler is now installed and we once again have hot water and heating!
am definitely going to pick up some goji berries and try them in muffins. I had thought about going back to galettes for a few days but I don't want to give the muffins up yet!
