Everyday's a SW day :) x

weigh in went much better tonight with 3lbs of a loss for me.
i was looking at my book and where i see that i have a gain every 4 weeks usually, i also noticed that since i got my 2.5stone award, i've been up and down and round about the same weight for weeks?
dunno what that's all about but hopefully i can get another decent loss next week which will take me below this weight and continue like that.
the problem i have is that for me, who hasn't really socialised much since i've been on plan, i've got a couple of birthday parties/weddings coming up before xmas so i know that might put a spanner in the works if i want to make the most of them.

not too stressed about them but i would like to be at least 4lbs lighter by xmas which is so do-able....even with a gain or two i suppose?

anyway...food for today:

DAY - GREEN

Breakfast:
rice pudding, berries, banana and yog

Lunch:
dahl loaf and a bowl of fruit salad
alpen light

Dinner:
quorn philly pasta - pasta, quorn pieces, peppers,onion, mushroom, sweetcorn, petit pois and HEa philly light stirred in

HEB's:
2 x alpen light bars
hifi bar

HEa's:
70g phlly light

Syns:
prawn hoops and crosses - 4
freddo - 5

9 for the day :D
 
Well done on your loss!! That's great news :)

I found a recipe for the white sauce of a lasagne tonight that was made from Philly light!! So excited about this and will definitely be trying this very soon :D

Can someone help me Im so sorry for posting this on this thread but I saw slimming world and thought someone would be able to help me or direct me to the part of the forum that can help.

Does anyone know of anywhere that sells cook from frozen extra lean mince? Asda have lean mince but its not syn free and buying fresh mince is becoming really expensive.

i've never seen extra lean mince sold frozen before so i'd be interested to find out too.
you could try posting on the "where the bargains are at and anything else that's useful" thread...someone might know there?x

ooh you'll need to let me know how it is...i've only ever made the baked bean lasagne and haven't ever made a beef one before so would be up for giving it a go ;) x

Well done on the loss Hun! 4lbs before Xmas is massively doable...even with the parties! Sounds like you're planning on making the her of both worlds...staying on plan to keep losing...but making the most of the socialising too!! :) xxx

sooooo.... i'm here to report what i think is a NSV...
woke up today super hungry and its not really changed throughout the course of the day (even though i grazed pretty much all day at work...on sw stuff of course ;) )
anyway, the plan today was after school, i was taking the boys to the swimming and to mcdonalds which is exactly what we did. they were swimming and i was starving so took myself off to the cafe to see if they had anything i could eat.
hot food was off...but she had chips ready and i stood for ages looking at what i could have. (did i want the chips, yes, did i know the damage...no)
i wanted the 3 pack of custard creams but didn't think they were worth 3 syns each...i wanted the huge piece of mars bar cake and rocky road with giant marshmallows...but didn't.
she saw me eyeing up the tray bake stuff and said oh, we ran out of caramel shortcake but i have a pack here from the supermarket to put out til we get it in...cue the 3 pack of sainsburys caramel shortcake.
before i knew it i'd said yes and took it off to investigate on the sw app (14 syns btw!)

so i'm eating it and i'm already thinking right, you may as well just get a mcdonalds cos you've had this now!
there's me thinking what LARGE meal i was going to have and what goodies i was going to buy on the way home to have later....cos i may as well if i've already blown it!

then i thought...1 bad thing doesn't warrant a proper blow out! ok so you had the caramel shortcake but why do you need to get all the rest of the stuff??

i remembered i still had a quorn burger left from yesterday and thought...just make the burger meal yourself....not as appealing but on plan! and 1000 calories less no doubt lol.

got the boys out, stopped for milk and wm rolls on the way to mcdonalds, went in, ordered 2 happy meals and...... a diet coke for me.... :D
pinched 2 chips from the boys (yuck! cold and sooo not worth the potential blow out!!!) drank my juice and came home to get the quorn burger and chips on the go (as well as prepare tomorrows tuna pasta for lunch...cos of course if i had a blow out tonight, i'd be as well being off it tomorrow too??) and that's what i did!

i had the caramel shortcake...but i did not have the mcdonalds, or stop for goodies and to be honest, i can't quite believe it!
i had totally talked myself into the blow out cos i'd had one bit of caramel shortcake (bloody good btw lol) and was really stopping at the garage for large tv munchies...but i didn't!

yay!!!!

could've...i mean would've,been diabloical! x

the challenge now is not having my usual wee treat tonight.
i've decided that if i feel the need to have something (there's no need really lol) i could have some fruit and yog or a packet of popcorn for 2.5. maybe a hifi light for 3...dunno....
i know that if i have those, it'll take me to 2.5 or 3 over (or 5.5 if i have both lol) but i have to admit, 5.5 over is waaaay better than what i'd planned...and i have saved syns the last 2 days anyway!

not sure, going to take myself for a shower and wash my hair to distract me but won't beat myself up over it if i do have a few over for the day??? (she says that as she already feels bad!)

eurgh! this is all hard work sometimes! that would've been a great food day if i hadn't felt the need to say yes to the caramel shortcake :( x

Omg well done! It really is stupid how we do that though, how can one bad thing warrant the full day off?! And this is why we gain weight and throw ourselves off plan! I do the same. Really struggle with having just one off plan treat. I can do it on weigh night, like have a cupcake or doughnut, cos by the time I get sat down I havnt got time to have a blowout lol cos it nearly bed time. But on any other day if I'm off plan I just completely have a blow out. Taking a leaf out of your book next time! X
 
Oh I meant 2 say bout yer egg white tip! I ave heard of it before but had kinda 4gotten bout it if that makes sense! lol! I'm glad u reminded me of it cos altho his bum's ok so far we can't use conventional nappy cream wif our re-useable nappies. We aven't got an actual tooth yet but I don't think it'll b 2 much longer, there's a wee toothbud at the bottom on his left side n at the top on his right side. The slabbers r trippin him so I'm goin thru bibs at a rate of knots! lol! :D

i dunno how it happened to be honest lol, was probably the angel and devil battling against each other but glad the angel won!

had some popcorn so 2.5 over but to be honest, i'm just glad that it stopped there. i honestly was thinking of everything i was gonna buy to cram in during the night off...the one i may as well have cos i had something that i wouldn't usually have! what a ridiculous way of thinking isn't it!

i know we get the have treats on this...and i have treats every day...but i think the dangerous thing for me is that because i miss out all the junk i really want, if i decided to have something, i would literally go OTT and cram in all the stuff i've wanted for months (like the night i had the buffet and was physically ill! lol)

anyway...glad it didn't turn out how i'd initially planned...gotta be a good thing ;) x

aww the wee soul...they're so cute but be careful he doesn't get a wee sore bit under his lip from that and all the wiping...not easy being a baby eh...and hey, all this hassle with gnashers for them to bloody fall out anyway pmsl.
