Fighting the Fat! :)

Good day for me today. Work called last night and offered me the day off as I have quite a bit of annual leave to take before April. Made the most of it, went to the butchers this morning to keep us stocked up for the month as we freeze alot of what we buy to stop waste. Then one of my friends popped over and had heard of a new cafe in Cardiff called Cafe Pure. It specialises in healthy food and high protein food. All the calories and fat levels are on the menu. I had a "Muscle Builder Salad" it had spinach, lettuce, toms, cucumber, celery (yuk), mixed beans, chicken, egg, sweet potato and other bits with it. I also had a side of halloumi. Was so good but I couldn't finish all of it as it was really filling. Will def be going again as their breakfast menu looks amazing (pancakes!)

Didn't fancy gym as aching still.... went anyway and did a fair bit of cardio and a few arm/chest exercises. Really struggled but glad I went.Have had a long soak in the tub and boyf has organised a viewing on a house we like the look of (hoping to buy this year!)

So food today....
B- 2x Linda McCartney sausages and spaghetti
L- Salad and Halloumi
D- Enchilladas with sour cream followed by an Aero chocolate mousse

Total for the day about 1300 (phone is dead so can't check MFP for exact totals)

Hey hun. Mmm glad u enjoyed the fish cakes, your so motivated. Wish i lived near that because the food sounds really amazing, all my fav ingredients, soul food lol.
Stocking up is a good idea, thats what i do too, i stock up a months supply at a time and it really saves me the trouble lol.

i know it's harder to eat badly if you have good things in!

Gotta be fair he is a good egg. (even though I have been left for the cardiff-swansea derby today!) viewed the house and it was better than we thought. Think a 2nd viewing is on the cards.

So i have a day to myself! Not sure what to do. Girls from work are out for a meal tonight (italian) i want to go but i don't know what would be best to eat and don't want to go over. Any suggestions??

Oh and steff i lovvvve those mousses!

Something like penne aribiata is usually best for Italian pasta with tomato sauce basically! Avoid lasagne garlic bread and creamy carbonara. :)

Hey hun i agree with mrs ginger, i always go for lasagne but its full of cals so best avoided. Aww i love the house to myself lol. Im a natural loner hehe. Xx

Thanks for the advice girls. After all that I had a call earlier to say it has been called off :( I was looking forward to it! So I am now in my fleecy pjs doing some cleaning and pottering about. Went out earlier to get some friends of ours a house warming card and present. I went to Home Sense they have some amazing things in there (got 2x matching photo frames and a grey wire bottle holder- sounds gross but its cool and goes with their stuff) ! Popped into M and S after and got a bottle of wine and a bottle of olive oil to put in the bottle holder and also filed it up with some little chocs. Am quite pleased with it. I then also picked up a miniature bottle of cava and some heart shaped marshmallows for my other friend for Valentines day as I thought it would be nice to get her a little something too as a couple of blokes have messed her around over the past few months. Seeing them both tomorrow for a Ryan Gosling marathon and a catch up!

Food so far...
B- bacon sandwich with ketchup (fat trimmed, no butter)
L- carrot and cucumber crudites with caramelized onion houmous followed by an aero chocolate mousse
D- not sure now! Had a light lunch to accommodate eating out so will have a rummage in the fridge

Ohh no! But on the plus side atleast u could stay warm in ur jammies. The presents u bought sounds very lovely and homely and ur such a great friend to have, how thoughtful of u to consider ur mate on valentines day,id be honoured to have a friend like u. Hope u have fun tomorrow.

They both loved the presents and we did have our ryan gosling fest.

Bot the best day foodwise for me but about 1250- 1300 cals. Went to harvester with the girls, had a chicken breast, jacket potato and sour cream. Plus a salad (had some potato salad which i couldnt weigh hence the approx cals!) finished up witj an ice cream. Although not ideal i went for the lowest cal option (297) instead of a full on blow out. Small victories i guess! Also had 2 lindt chocs which i counted. No supper tonight as not hungry. Balanced meals for me tomorrow i think!

So good they loved the presents and u had a good time, mustve been a great weekend.

Love harvesters cos they do good healthy food, love your determination, you ate good food and still on top of your cals! Dont think i could do that lol. Small victories will always win.

Im already thinking up my meals for tomorrow lol. Im getting bored so will have to come up with something exciting, tho im really loving my new fav brekkie lol.

Im off tomorrow and tuesday so im really just relaxing with a book and taking advantage of my freedom lol.

Ok cals for today... 1203 total
B- 2 slices toast with peanut butter and jam
L- fishcake with salad, baked mushrooms stuffed with philly and prawns
D- quorn lasagne, baked homemade chips and salad
S- pomegranate seeds

So my spring clraning obsession is continuing. Dvd and bookcase done today and loads of things taken to charity shop. Also did my wardrobe and shoes. Have cleared out a load of stuff and feel completely decluttered! Drawers are next up tomorrow
