Had fun today scoping out low fat recipes.

finding some low fat, low calorie snack options.

All to help save me some calories on UP days. Not going full scale diet food.....I want fresh real food in my diet, but I also want to compromise on a few of my snack choices.

70 cal. sugar free pudding snacks

Popchips, all natural. 120 cals for 28 chips. I haven't bought yet but want to try and see if this replaces other chips.

low fat cheese instead of full fat

low fat mayo? hmm....


alot of low fat options on a few things. with atkins I would never do that. full fat version of everything.

had fun seeing new versions of foods out there to try with Juddd.

HOORAY! dropped 2.5 of the bloat from eating out.

Man....not getting anywhere but dropping the gain weight from the last few days. BUT it is ok.

I have NOTHING PLANNED THIS WHOLE WEEK and this whole week will be JUDDD and I am working it best I can. So this week will show me a real loss I hope.
time to get into the groove.


DOWN DAY

food is:
Progresso Soup (160 cals for the entire can)

4 oz sautee cajun chicken (120 cals)
over giant giant giant salad with tons of veg (maybe 40 cals)
bit of lite ranch (100 cals)


leaves 100 cals. left over for 100 cal. snack bag of popcorn at night

TOTAL OF 520 CALS.



fingers crosssed for a loss tomorrow. I will take anything :)

I don't like any salad dressing really other than ranch. I am giong to experiment with others to cut that calorie level down big time. Might find something I love. hope so.

thanks D. I am trying but I got a bit carried away. about 800 for the down day. not stellar. but I could have done far worse. I have to work on better control on down days :)

I see your stats. You are doing very well!!! I hope I can get it off that good on JUDDD also.
 
like I mentioned I got cals. up to about 800 on down day. darn it. snack attack at night. I should be sure to make sugar free jello. that way I have it jump onto and keep cals. lower than eating junkier things.

I was thinking of doing ANOTHER down day but decided to just stay in rotation and make this a very very low carb day and just cut about 200 cals. from the UP day. So eating about 1700 today instead of my 1960 allowed.


today is 1 egg, 3 egg whites, 2 cheese, 4 bacon total is 450 calories

tons of lemon water thru the day


off to get some things done. staying busy keeps my mind off food (well, a little) :) lol
 
I find the hardest part of my down day is when I'm cooking dinner - I try to cook things I don't fancy much or can manage to just have a small bit .. But some times my kcals are up in the 800/900, but as long as I do 3 days "fasting" I still loose something !

most of the time I don't snack after dinner.. Apart from a few bits of 70% dark chocolate (Does that count lol)

following primal blueprint and experimenting with the 5:2 fasting diet
 
LOL yes it counts, just a 'little' --I love the 76% chocolate squares I eat. too bitter for family but I love them and don't think they are too bitter at all. I haven't tried 70%.

at only 30 cals each and 1.7 net carb I eat 5 and feel like a queen :)


If the down day was truly allowed like 800 cals. I could breeze thru it in a heartbeat. that darn 400-500 is so low and some days I feel I want to eat the whole house down.




I noticed I have been doing that also with the meals. Things hubby loves I cook on Down days. I haven't been on plan long but I realize I have to find ways real fast to make a down day easier in the long run. cooking stuff hubby loves and I don't is a good way to keep from jumping all over a good meal.
 
This is how my up day is going. I am tracking, measuring and watching everything. If I give this plan some effort, I should get some good results I hope

450 breakfast

170 1.5 cups cauliflower with 1/4 cup alfredo sauce and 4 tablesp. of parm cheese

80 wild organic blueberries and wild organic raspberries 1/4 cup each

200 Weight Watchers Turkey meal (wow the sodium in that was wild. not sure if I will buy that again. Bought a few WW Smart One meals and put in freezer for backup emergency convenience)


total is 900 for day. with plenty of water.

dinner is 6 oz pork country style ribs 600 cals
small dinner salad with bit of ranch 100 cals

totals at 1600. I have about 100-150 left to play with tonight. OFF TO MAKE sugar free jello right now so it is ready for tonight so I don't go crazy on snacking.

Down Day is planned for tomorrow.



WHEW. any plan change is hard. my mind is still atkins :) I want to throw butter at everything but with counting calories that can't happen anymore LOL

Well I am off researching JUDDD on the internet finding some good success stories and tips----when I come across a different Dr. Johnson. This is about sugar. AND THIS DR. J is also an advocate of intermittent fasting :)

I love that guy and his war on sugar so interesting and very much what a lot of people already have identified in their own bodies....see we are not mad afterall!!
 
So true L. I think refined sugar is one of the worst things that can throw off our bodies. But I sure still indulge.
but my sugar intake has SO dramatically reduced that I feel better knowing I did do something to help myself :)




D--Slimming World. I looked into it. seems very doable. Your success is wonderful on it!!
 
after my UP day I am down one pound.
I will take that :)

Today is down day. I will DO EVERYTHING IN MY POWER to keep calories low. I want to get this down day under my belt without the few extras that bump me up a bit.

plan is

60 cals 1/4 cup each wild organic blueberries and raspberries

240 cals 4 oz sautee cajun spiced chicken over big salad with bit of ranch

200 cals broccoli and cauliflower with 1/4 cup alfredo sauce and 4 tablsp of parm cheese


I am going to eat later in the day to hopefully kick out my snack attacks at night.

salad around 1-2
dinner around 7pm
berries after dinner if needed along with sugar free jello made for in case of emergencies :)


fingers crossed I get into easier down day low calories. I feel like if I get this day nailed I will have a huge drop on the scale tomorrow. I am kinda bloated from UP day yesterday so a down day will help the old gut I hope.

I had no idea all that went down.

these reality shows with people losing weight and then seeing the results. this outcome is not good and for her to put herself out there like that, wow, I sure could not do that.

just chatting. wondering if anyone knew of this show and this lady?

I will have a great down day. probably in the 300 cal range.
might eat a bite tonight

had a big salad. I ate my questionable cucumber. 1/2 left and it was a bit wimpy tho. smelled ok, wasn't mushy, hate to waste so I ate it.

HOLY

the belly started to gurgle immediately after eating my salad.
the rumble was very loud.
has put me off food. so far no major problems but my gut is not in top shape right now :)

so that is a great way to diet. eat something that doesn't agree with ya and keeps you low on cals HAHA

since food isn't much of an issue today I am thinking I will get a nice whoosh down the scale in the morning. I really need to see some lbs gone now.


of course I am thinking what do I want to eat tomorrow. It surprised me how much I kinda can't wait til tomorrow but I can get thru one day it seems.
I think this is starting to come aruond for me and going to hold with JUDDD and keep trying and see where it gets me.

yea it is best to throw out questionable food. BUT I wanted that stupid cucumber added to my salad for volume to help me feel full. BOY it sure got my tummy good. next time it will hit the trash for sure!


I ended with 460 for the day tho. Late night I ate a 160 can of soup. very filling. Soup will be a go to food on down days. 460 to me is still good cause being new, I still have a tendancy to go over into the 600 range. I will definitely take anything 500 and under :)
