D: Smoked Haddock Chowder (included 1/2 HexA 150ml Sainsbury's 1% milk) This was delish

Recipe for Smoked Haddock Chowder
2 carrots diced
1 large leek thinly sliced
400g smoked undyed haddock
250 ml fish stock (I used a knorr stock pot)
300ml milk (I used Sainsbury's 1% but you could use skimmed)
cup of sweetcorn
2 medium sized potatoes
parsley
pepper
Poach the fish lightly in the milk and stock for a few mins, just so the fish is almost but not quite cooked, then remove and put to one side. Soften the carrots and leeks in frylight then add to the milk and stock with the potatoes and sweetcorn, season to taste and add the parsley.
When the potatoes are cooked, put about a ladle full of the broth and potatoes in a bowl and blend then stir back into the rest of the broth, this thickens it slightly, gently flake the fish and put into broth and heat through for 5 mins, this will finish cooking the fish.
At this point I would say serve with copious amounts of fresh crusty bread but that would be naughty lol!
