Foodie thoughts and munchie mumbles, food diary of a self confessed chocoholic

I really wanna make those pancakes!!

I made them with muller toffee yogurt this time and just used 1 egg, they were even better than last time :) Plus I didn't add sweetner so they weren't as sweet which I liked better :)

Hey, I've been reading your thread for a while now and have seen you mention magic pancakes! I miss things like that! could you let me know what else you add in them please?

Hi Holli, here's the original thread for them, I think there are a couple of recipes on there, I use the one which you add baking powder and bicarb, I also only use 1 egg as the first time I made them I thought they were too omelette like. I use 35g porridge oats, 1 muller light, 1 egg, 1/2 tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp of bicarb. Mix the muller light and the oats together the night before and put in fridge then in the morning beat the egg and mix into the yogurt/oat mixture with the baking powder and bicarb. You can add sweetner too, they were sweet enough for me but I suppose it depends on what you are having them with.

Thanks! I'll be trying that this morning! I did search for it but as I am on the app it doesn't seem to find anything that I am actually after! Thank you!

Phew, busy few days, kind of been sticking to the plan (loosely :p ) Hubby has been networking the house, he decided to do this AFTER we started painting the living room so now we have to paint again once the plaster has dried where he dug big channels out for the cables, and then paper over the chimney breast!

Katy has been today to work on invitation designs for her wedding and we got kind of side track looking at hair and makeup videos lol! Work tomorrow and Thursday and then a wedding to go to on Friday and a day out shopping for holiday stuff on Saturday, need to get Mark new walking boots as his have given up the ghost after 15 years of service lol! Still waiting for a call to say when the new furniture is going to be delivered but hoping it's going to be after the room is finished!

WI tomorrow, not expecting anything spectacular but I can live in hope :D

Bacon and tomato sandwich on wholemeal roll, banana, muller light for lunch
lentil and veg soup for tea probably fruit for afters
semi skimmed milk for drinks

1st Week On Weight Watchers-NEW START!

welcome hun :welcome2:

Seems like your back on track and really focused

Thanks hunny, yep back on track, I need to be, had a bit of a slap in the face when I had my diabetic check up last week. My sugar has gone up by 10 points from 8.6 fasting to 9.6 fasting. 8.6 is bad enough, 9.6 means if I don't get my act together I will have my meds changed and the ones they are thinking of putting me on cause weight gain. Not something I need when I struggle so much as it is. Also my blood pressure is up and my thyroid is too high which can affect both my blood pressure and my diabetes, only good thing the nurse had to say was my cholesterol and kidney functions were perfect lol!

WI today, lost 3.5lbs Very happy with that :D

We are broke this month so not much food shopping got done and this week we are living out of the freezer so meals are a bit of a hodge pogde. And I have virtually no fruit or fresh veg at all so going to struggle until Thursday getting my 5 a day.

Breakfast is weird today as it is more like lunch as I start work at 12 so need something substantial that will last me until about 3.30, then I only get a 10-15 min break so I only get to eat something quick, make a cuppa and nip to the loo so it's easier to swap lunch and breakfast around.

Definitely earned a couple this evening, got on the Xbox and did half an hour on Your Shape, lots of cardio. Shows how unfit I am, bloomin knackered now :character00115:

Lol! Well there is that, stayed as it would have taken me 20 minutes to walk home and then back again. At least I'll get paid for it, I've got a good manager :) Good job I did really as they were short and a chilled delivery was just unloading when I got there. Did it all by myself so I'm sure I must have earned some APs lol!

Edited to add, just updated my food for today, had a co-op southern fried chicken steak, very tasty and only 6 pp according to my ww scales :) well worth it :)

Uoh med fies and big mac jumped into my mouth 22pp!!!! Good job I've got my weeklies. Tasted amazing too :D

Well sat in starbucks having an iced coffee. Would normally have had a big slab of cake, a sarnie and a bag of crisps. Instead I had 2 ww caramel shortcakes for 7 points and have to say they are scrummy. Hope they have some more when I go to £1 land again. 3pp each or 2 for 7. Think I might have to hide the rest of the pack though or I might end up scoffing the lot. Also they are reduced sugar, wouldn't have bought them other wise. They had some metcalfes choc covered rice cakes too which are quite low in sugar too and work out at 3pp each. Didn't have much ww stuff in to be honest. Think I'll drag hubby to crystal peaks later. Their £1 shops are better stocked.:p
