I don't do his lunch. I do feel mean when i'm doing mine n not his, but I do mine the night before and he doesn't like his sandwiches sitting in the fridge that long.. So he can do his own..Haha too right, they say we nag but like I say to Jon,if you did it we wouldn't have to nag!!! Like when he gets home later there's a couple of letters and bits of his floating around in the front room and bedroom that he can tidy up! If he winds me up or says I do nothing etc then I'm quick to remind him that he can do his own lunch, dinners, washing etc lol.If he really upsets me then I've gotten him to do his own lunch or dinner as I begrudge cooking for him then lol
I've resisted so far... Long may it last..yer if you arent on here tomorrow then we know if happened!!! lol
uh oh.............resist the chocolate!!!! xx
That's the thing with Jonathan as well.. His Mam done EVERYTHING for him! She'd collect him washing from a pile in his room, wash it, iron it, put it on hangers and bring it to his room... She cooked his dinner.. And she cleaned up their house.. So it was all magically done around him and he hadn't to do anything! (He still done his own lunch when he was at home tho.. lol)I will admit my oh used to tidy a fair bit but recently I've been doing everything!
Dog walking
Dishes/dishwasher
Washing
Cleaning
Bath/bed for Elisha
Reading with Elisha
His/elishas lunch
Cooking
Tidying
There's so much I can't remember it all, his reason is he works 8 hours a day!? I work thurs and fri and still do everything! It has to b hoovered here daily cause of the dog hair!
He does occasionally do the washing!
Prob is he's so used to his mum cleaning and tidying up after him when he lived there
I only said to him last night if I ever am lucky enough to have a son he's gona learn to look after himself.. I won't Mammy him the way all mothers do with their sons..I tell you,a lot of mums(more old school Mums)just don't do their sons any favours!
I know.. I'm not doing ANY cleaning this week.. NONE! I'll just go off out n about if I get an itch to do it.. He needs to learn if he wants a clean house he's gona hafta pull his weighthaha this is such a Steve quote "is this my washing"............erm " is that a pig flying past the window......NO so NO its not your washing!!" just make him do his share, and if he does it crap dont take over just do it again when he's out or something! remember, teach him to be good not take over cos he is doing it bad xxx
Yea that's me too.. I know most of the time I won't mind doing it all. But I don't want it to get to a point where its expected of me and he's doing nothing.. In the space of an hour he'd used THREE glasses from the press. The he puts nothing back when he's used it.. That p1sses me off..Yeah see I don't mind doing most of it the thing that bothers me the most is he used to help bath Elisha, we did it together and he would do her teeth every-other night but now he doesn't do any of it, I ask him to do her teeth sometimes and he makes such a fuss over it that I don't even bother asking anymore! He gets to mess around with her and have fun but I'm so busy I don't get that, that's y I'm looking forward to the hols! More time!
Yea that's me too.. I'm irritating myself I'm calling his name so often.. he called me a moany fuk last night..The last 2 days I've cut back on tidying up after him but it means I have to keep asking him to do stuff, which makes me feel bossy/knagging! Maybe he will learn soon

I understand the frustration where your little girl is concerned..
I already know if/when we have kids it'll be left to me.. he loves playing with kids.. winding them up and getting them hyped.. And then going home! So when the fun stuff starts and he can play ball with them and computer games n that he'll love it.. All the practical stuff n when they're whiney he won't be bothered...

And like you Daisy I said "I wouldn't need to moan of you were such a lazy pig n cleared up after yerself!"
He got in a huff and went out for a cigarette (another pet hate of mine!!!) Then done whatever it was at that moment I had asked (100 times!)
bulldogdaisy said:Might be worth having a sit down one evening when your little one is in bed and say you miss the time spent helping out with her,If it's all done calmly and nicely then he won't see it as 'a nag' well I hope he won't as there is nowt wrong in asking for help :0)

I expect they will get him back when u two have a baby!
Aw that's typical man isn't it?!
Jonathan's sister-in-law had a baby a few weeks back and when we went to their house to see the little dude Jonathan kept his finger on the door bell til Martin answered!! I was like"WTF are ya doing the baby will be asleep?!" He was like "aw yea sh1t!"
Ah ha ha ha ha ha.. I think I would PUNCH Jono if he came near me brushing his teeth!! Thankfully he hasn't tried that one year!! lolhahaha this made me laugh!!!! OMG they are ALL the same!!! Steve would soooooooooooo do this!!!! half the time i feel like his mum "take your bowl out", "do the drying up" "do you have to brush your teeth in the BEDROOM" (yes he starts brushing his teeth in the bathroom but thats too much hassle to stand there apparently so comes into the bedroom to watch tele whilst standing there brushing his teeth) "dont do that" nag nag nag lol!!! but seriously!!!! why do they do it! lol xxxx
