From 17's to 16's

well I lost 2lbs tonight but actually feel really disappointed ..... its silly I know ! I think my 12stone target just feels so far away ...

not going to take me off track but maybe just a realisation on how long this journey is going to be xxxxx

Always work in half stones , you'll get there :)

Hit 17st 2lb last night - really hope to lose 2 this week but have got best mate arriving from America.... still the weekend is only two days out of Seven right!!
 
Wow your success is really inspiring it took me ages from 2 -3 stone but hopefully now the momentum is back!

Hello everyone! I'm new to this site and joined SW on Tuesday this week. I was 17 st 9 :(
I haven't figured out how to do the weight tickers or my profile yet but hoping to get some support along the way. I really struggle with weight loss as I'm sure we all do at times. I am a massive carb addict as my mum is Italian so if there's no pasta or rice or bread on the table I feel very hard done by! The problem is carbs make me balloon so even on SW I think I'm going to have to be a bit careful and not have carb-fests every day!

I haven't been below 17 st for about 2 years so is going to be a massive milestone! Am off to trawl through the other pages and get some ideas.

Hiya Debs, I'm sure it wont be long before your in your 16's.
I too am a carb junkie like you mainly bread and rice. I have to admit thats its the hardest part of the diet for me not being able to eat loads of white bread and i do crave it. At the moment i'm 17st 8.5lb so only 1/2lb lighter than you. I started off at 19st 7lb though. My weigh in today (saturday morning) and i'm hoping to get my 2 stone award and club 10.

Good luck on your SW journey and i'm sure we will bump in to each other in the forums.

Hi Debs - welcome to 17s, I am a carb girl too - can live without meat but would go into meltdown without any pasta or potatoes - I have reduced my pasta portions and I reduced again last week - I actually think it worked against me - I reduced too small - enjoy your carbs you are allowed them but stick to the three meals a day - eat lots of superfree with them - the beauty of SW is you can eat everything - there are loads of fab recipes around - check out what other people are eating on diaries, the "What you having for dinner/lunch" threads and the threads in the recipe section that have loads of lovely food porn pics for inspiration

However, having an Italian Mum - get her to whizz up some SW version pasta dishes and share them with the rest of us carb addicts!

With regards to bread - its amazing how quickly you forget it - and also how awful you feel when you do eat it!

First weigh in today and lost 5lbs- Hooray!!!
It makes it all worthwhile!

DonnaJT- thanks for the advice! Tonight am having macaroni cheese from the Philadelphia advert on TV. Yum Yum! I haven't opened a food diary- not quite figured that but out yet! I do have a few recipes for amazing risotto and bolo aide sauce which can b made either free or with healthy extra's- will look where to put them! Thanks :)

Bernie74- how did you get on? It's so nice to meet people that are the same weight as me now and have already droppe so much- gives me hope! Well done though!!!
