From here to Eternally Slim

Well done pesty - am so happy for you and you have raised an amazing amount for a very good cause.

All my fingers and toes are crossed for that 2.5 loss tomorrow for your shiny new sticker :) :D

Morning all!! :character00100:

Thank you so much MLM, Eternal, rosie & Libra - loving the banner btw :thankyou:

I still feel on such a high - although I have strained the left side of my groin and am struggling to move haha!! It was so definitly worth it tho!! Eternal you bought a tear to my eye!! Your proud to know me *goes bright red!!*

I had a bit of a random encounter yesterday! A friend of mine who joined SW with me on my 2nd week - she dropped out as she just really didnt want it enough to stick to it. At first i tried to push her into sticking to it but in the end there's only so much you can do if someones not there yet. Her mum is my neighbour and she'd blocked my car in so i went and knocked. She was just staring at me - she was amazingly complimentry but you could see the regret or envy all over her face that she knew she could be where i am now if she wanted. I dont know if the look was really there now, or if it was what i wanted to see from her, i do know she was genuinly happy for me.

This is a bit of a ramble really and i dont know my point, i just really wanted it for her and felt a bit guilty that im doing so well - weird huh!!??

Anyways, hopefully finding out today if mine and OH's mortgage was accepted!! Fingers crossed for me peoples!!

Good luck to all monday weighers!! xx

Morning everyone

Pesty - you are really amazing at what you achieved yesterday and your friend must be in awe at your losses and to see just how slim you have become.. it takes someone with a lot of strength and willpower to hang on in there and som people have it and some, just don't. Wouldn't feel guilty in the slightest. You just enjoy that feeling of feeling slimmer each week hun. Good luck on the Mortgage news today, hope it goes well for the both of you.

Well, yesterday was a much better day then Saturday night, hoping i've pulled it back, but staying 100% yesterday, but I must say BBQ'ing Mackeral is just yummy, but do cut the head off first, lol.. I just hated looking at the eyes staring at me while I was eating its body, eeeeeeeewwwwwwwww!!!:brainfart:. Sorry TMI.

Gonna stay on 5 syns today, as still trying to grab back Saturday night's naughtyness and Red all day, with a Curry and Jacket for dinner, while the rest of family have rice :(. Could do an EE day, but Red is better for me and aiming to walk 7000 steps today as well, so I might just.. pull it back and loose at least 1.5lb tomorrow :).

Good luck all Monday weighers, :Dxxx

Today, I am a little bit excited. I KNOW I shouldn't be weighing at home, but I hate going to WI without some idea of what to expect. I have been really overdoing the body magic this week because my house was a tip and my sisters fly in from Sweden on Friday. Anyhoo, popped on the scales this morning and for the first time in a very very long time they say 14 something!!!!! Amagad!!!! I know full well that by tonight they might not say that any more, but if I just eat light today Club 10 is a possibility. I really wanted to get to 14 something by the time my sisters arrived, last time they saw me 2 years ago I was nearly 17 stone and gaining, so as long as I stay on plan this week I should be definitely 14 something on Friday. We are going clubbing in Liverpool on Saturday, I feel the need for a new outfit!!!!!

Good luck for the mortgage Pesty!! You are really overdue some good fortune and I hope today is the start of it.

Morning everyone,

Pesty - fingers crossed :cross: for your mortgage application and for your 2.5lb loss. It would be lovely for you to get another shiny.

MLM - I too am guilty of sneaky WI's! I am sure your sisters will notice a big difference in your appearance from the last time they saw you. Do they know you are doing SW? Enjoy clubbing on Saturday, and have fun clothes shopping. *credit card takes a battering!*

EF - Saturday night may have been a bit "naughty" in terms of syns but think of all the fun you had! I am sure you will be able to pull it back and achieve a loss tomorrow. I WI tomorrow too so fingers crossed we will both be "losers"!

Working at home today so going to enjoy the sunshine at lunch time and read a book. Can't decide what to have for lunch though...any suggestions? (doing green)

Thanks all, I havent heard yet but will update you all when i do!!

EF - be careful with pulling back the syns. I remember when Ellebear had pulled back a lot and her C told her she would have lost more if she'd put the mistake behind her and carried on as usual, something to do with not enough cals etc. SW works in mysterious ways

MLM - I too am a sneaky weigher!! I dont pay much attention to my scales though as they never match the SW ones!! Its just a rough guestimation. I really hope you get into the 14s & your club 10!! :cross: I definitly think it warrents a new outfit!!

Libra - I am so jealous!! I wish i was at home in the sunshine!! Although Essex is quite cloudy today lol. Lunch on a green day... :hmm:hows about a pasta dish? Or jacket potato with beans and cheese! Yummy!! I will post the pasta recipes i found on another thread - they all look rather yummy! xx

I have a sneaky weigh about twice a week - my scaled are miles out to the ones at class but i find it motivates me if the numbers are going down mid week!

Macaroni cheese, with bacon, mushrooms and onion & veg
Fry the onions, mushrooms and bacon then add some quark (as much or little as you like for the consistency (I like mine thick so put quite a bit in), add cheese (from HExA) and cook til melted into the sauce, then add your pasta and mix thoroughly. As i do EE, I add a bag of steam fresh veg to it too.

Arrabbiata Sauce
6 Spring Onions Chopped
2-3 garlic gloves peeled and crushed
1 red chilli, deseeded and chopped
1tsp crushed dried chillies
2tsp dried oregano
1 x 400g can of plum tomatoes or chopped (plum has nicer texture when cooked)
100ml of water
Season with Salt and Pepper

Place the spring onions, garlic, chillies, oregano tomatoes, water in and bring to boil. Lower heat and simmer for 15 mins.
Thats it and then if you want you can add cooked prawns, cooked chicken, cooked low syn sausages anything really or just pasta.

Garlic Mushrooms and Pasta
2 Cloves garlic finely chopped
1 punnet closed cup mushrooms chopped into quarters
1 tbsp Philadelphia Light (28g 2 syns)

I fried the garlic in frylight in a medium saucepan on low heat for about 5 minutes, constantly stirring. Then added in the mushrooms, spraying with more frylight and stirring until browned. I then took them off the heat and covered the pan with a lid and let them "sweat" for 5 minutes. Then added the Philadelphia Light and mixed it through the mushrooms until melted.

Plain tomato sauce with loads of garlic, onion, passata, herbs and a bit of sweetener cooked for ages (slowly) on the hob. It's lovely and can be jazzed up with bacon or tuna, or chilli - whatever you fancy.

carbonara with a couple of whisked egg yolks, parmesan and salt and pepper stirred through the hot pasta (the heat cooks the egg) and of course bolognaise with loads of veggies added.

Oooohhhh, they sound luuuvvvvverly! Definitely going to try the garlic mushroom one in the next few days. Love Macaroni cheese too so will try this recipe without the bacon. Thanks for giving me some inspiration xxx

Excellent tips pesty - I see garlic mushroom pasta in my future!

Libra - I am so jealous!! I wish i was at home in the sunshine!!
One of the very few perks of the job! It is a little cloudy here too but still quite warm. Will go out in the garden for 30 mins in a bit. Think I may have an omlette as trying not to be too carb based today as WI tomorrow. I love Pasta n Sauce but it seems to affect my WI. :-(

EF am getting weighed tonight can you put me on your monday list pls
many thanks hon

I found that carbs effect my WI 2!! So i never did EE days, i have found the trick is to have small amounts of carby foods (ie pasta) before if i was to make a pasta dish it would challenge mount everest on my plate!! lol

Your all welcome for the recipe tips, i saw them in another thread whilst looking for inspiration myself!! xx
