Soph - Thanks hun, I do hope you're right although I think a slight gain will be inevitable, but we'll see! Soup would be a good idea for taking to work, now it's getting colder having a salad every day is getting a bit dull, even if they are yummy! Definitely making the most of the filling free foods this week, for the first few days I wanted to eat everything in sight! Thankfully today my appetite seems to be reducing and getting back to normal, by normal I mean how it was pre-holiday and not my 'old' normal, which actually wasn't normal at all with all the crap I ate!
Looks like you've done well while I've been away, haven't had chance to catch up on your diary but only 4lbs now 'till you're down 6 stone!!
You must be feeling great!

Well today has been quite exciting. I've always loved the thought of romantic gestures, so I figured now I've got a fixed income every month I can plan something really exciting to sweep Chris off his feet! So these last few days I've been plotting and arranged with his manager at work to book him a week off in May, then I set about looking for somewhere AMAZING to take him (that preferably wouldn't totally break the bank!) and today I booked it! He still has absolutely no idea about it and I don't intend to tell him until the day before we travel - I kinda have to tell him then 'cos we'll have to put the cats in a cattery for the week. Even so, I'm only telling him we're going away the next day and showing him a picture collage of the resort during the middle of a nice romantic meal. He won't find out WHERE we're off until we get to Manchester airport - how exciting!!
He doesn't read this so I'm pretty safe telling you guys where we're off to - TUNISIA - Sousse to be precise. I've been wanting to go to Tunisia for ages, especially after Emma's description of how lovely it was and all the trips on offer (reminds me Em I need to msg you about Lanzarote!). Anyway I mentioned it to Chris a while back and he said he'd hate the heat and people selling things on the beach. Fair enough as he doesn't like it too hot, but in May it's average 20c and our hotel had a private beach - win win!
I shopped around for a nice looking hotel with good trip advisor reviews and found the Riadh Palms hotel - 4* all inclusive for both of us and 2 cases each was £650! Quite a bargain and it looks amazing too. There were a few cheaper options if you want a bargain, I could have got us there for under £500 but this hotel looked so nice I didn't mind paying the extra.
That's it for me and holidays for a long time now - I've got Prague, Scotland and Tunisia all lined up so now I just need to concentrate on working, saving some spending money, getting this weight off and concentrating on my open uni course. My first tutorial for uni is 2 weeks on Saturday and I've hardly done any work as yet what with holidays and the job. Off to get some stationary essentials tomorrow night after work so I can get my folder organised and get cracking! Thankfully this weekend apart from the movies Fri and Sat night, I've nothing else planned except WI so can seriously hit the books! I hate being behind with things so feeling quite stressed at the minute with things, it's kinda daunting to be studying at degree level again after all this time.

ANYWAY back to FOOD, the thing my diary is meant to be about!!
Had a really good day today, or so I thought 'till I realised I'd made a massive hexb blunder! I forgot breakfast today in a rush for work but thankfully due to light traffic I had time to pop into the supermarket for my usual morning stop off for lunch. I picked up a salad and nipped around the supermarket for a hexb cereal bar. Anyway for some reason I'd got it in my head that oat so simple breakfast biscuits were a hexb, God knows where I got that from as when I looked on-line I found that a serving was 10 syns!! So i've basically wasted 10 syns today on a bleedin' breakfast bar, they were nice but not that nice! Worst thing is I have another 5 servings left... To compensate I stuck with a super low syn tea of weetabix, banana and a splash of milk so I'm still just about within my syns. Aiming for a low syn day tomorrow as it's pre-WI... Ugh. Normally I'm excited about WI, but not this one!
Week 11, Day 3 - EE
Breakfast - Oat so simple breakfast biscuits - 10 syns :sigh:
Snack - Apple and grapes
Lunch - Tuna nicoise salad with olives - 1 syn (i actually counted the olives to work out the syns! What a saddo!
)
Hot choc - 2 syns
Tea - weetabix (hexb) and splash of milk - 2 syns
Supper - 2 mini babybel - hexa
Total syns - 15 syns!
Despite the high syns it was a relatively low volume food day. I feel like I'm getting back into the swing of things a bit better now
Looking forward to trying something different for lunch tomorrow, I can't stomach the same salad again!
