Well done on the big loss- woohoo @ nsv!! Two sizes in 9 weeks, wow!!
Which granola bars did you get for HExB? :O havent heard of granola hexB, sound interesting! X

Just to let you know..... missing you while you are away and looking forward to seeing your posts when you return

Aww that's very sweet of you princess! Lovely to be back, although I had a great time too!

The diet was a bit of a car crash while I was away, no binging or anything like that, just lots of not so healthy food choices. As for the keeping a food diary thing, well that didn't happen! So on that front I've been pretty crap, but I figure most 'normal' healthy people without food issues over indulge a bit on holiday, so I'm not too worried, especially as I'm coming back to face the music!

I've definitely put on this week, although as I GOT THE JOB I'll be starting training tomorrow, so won't be getting weighed 'till Saturday. Aiming to be super good 'till then so I'll hopefully only have a smallish gain (anything under 4lbs would be fine!) on Saturday which I can then get off completely the following week (fingers crossed!) Today I've eaten pretty healthily despite getting in at 3am then up at 8.30 to pick the kittens up - cereal, tuna salad and prawn and spinach curry for tea. Haven't been syning things though as officially re-starting SW tomorrow, but I'd easily be under my 15 for the day.

Think this next week will be really tough, especially as training is full time 9-5 so when I'm not working I'll be catching up with my open uni work. Quite looking forward to the next few weeks though. Plus now I've got the job I can book my next break - thinking about Menorca in May, but will shop around a bit first! I'm seriously addicted to holidays! I was really fancying Tunisia but Chris really doesn't seem bothered... I'll work on it though!

OOOH!! I forgot to tell you, the seatbelt fastened!! Only and inch or 2 of slack but it did the job! Thankfully I'm going with Jet2 to Prague in 6 weeks too, so should be OK as long as I get back on plan :)

Modifying my goal for the next hol. I want another 1/2 a stone off from my pre holiday weight. So a couple of weeks to get any gain off, then a few steady weeks and I should easily manage it, anything extra would just be a welcome bonus!

Going to have a nice shower now and get all ready for bed, before I go here's some holiday pics... I'll see you all tomorrow with my first foody update...

Hello honey.... mummy's missed you lol x

Thanks guys! Only a quick update to jot my food diary tonight as been really busy today with training and then doing the 'big shop'. Found it quite hard to get back into SW mode, but I've managed it, just got to keep it up now!

Re-start after hols - Week 10 day 7 - EE

Breakfast - crunchy nut and splash of milk - 6.5 syns
Snack - grapes
Lunch - Morrisons salad bar - tuna mayo pasta ( 4 syns), coleslaw (2 syns), egg, lettuce, tomato, beetroot, swttecorn, oriental slaw, tomatoes etc - 6 syns
Tea - Quorn spag bol with mushroom and tomatoes, some ragu sauce (3 syns)
Supper - muller light and 2 babybel light (hexa)

Total syns - 15.5 syns

Missed out my hexb today but got some wheetabix for the rest of the week so it won't happen again. Although it was a high syn day I'm just glad to be back on track. Will be having Morrisons salad bar for my permanent lunch this week so going to mix the varieties up a bit so I don't get bored!

Off to bed now to watch a movie and then sleep, this working lark is tiring!!

p.s Sorry I've been so crap with catching up on diaries! Will have a good read through and a catch up when I've got a minute. Hope you're all doing great! xx

Finding it really tough today, especially with all the sweets and junk at work. I was good though and set off 15 minutes early so I could get a salad and some fruit on the way. I'm finding my appetite seems to be much bigger than it was before I went away, my tea isn't for a few hours still as waiting for Chris to finish his overtime, but I'm absolutely starving so will be cheeky and call it supper instead! Haven't felt this hungry in ages so I'm going to get myself a Batchelors cheese and broccoli pasta thing in a minute, thankfully it's free as I've got some hexa milk allowance left!

The work drinks vending machine messed up today too... On the sticker on the outside it said they did 7up free, so pressed for that and the full sugar version came out! So annoying. I wasn't going to throw it away or anything 'cos I had the syns for it, but I hate it when things like that happen!

Really looking forward to getting back to group on Saturday. I know it'll be a gain but then at least I'll know where I am and can look forward to a loss the next week. Having a gain looming over me at the weekend like a black cloud is horrible. I'm trying damage limitation but after eating lots on holiday I'm still in munch mode! I'm not going to deprive myself and sit there starving as that's ridiculous, but even though I'm sticking to plan I'm eating more than I usually do! I just hope in a few days my normal appetite comes back, will make sticking to plan a lot easier when I'm not hungry all the time!

Week 11, Day 1 - Green

- weetabix and splash of milk - hexb and 1/3 hexa
Snack - Grapes and apple

1 haribo - 0.5 syns
2 x babybel (hexa)
Tea - Batchelors broccoli and cheese pasta - rest of hexa milk
Supper - Veggie stew - onions, mushrooms, swede, potato, carrot and stock - 2 syns

Total syns - 15.5 syns  (damn that Haribo!)

Haha those damn Haribo.

Don't beat yourself up too much, you're still on track. Imagine if you had.thought oh i'll get back on track after weigh in day - It would be a hell of alot worse.

Aren't those Batchelors pasta 'n' saives soo delish! I put spring onion in mine, I'm in love with the cheese, leek and ham one. They're 1 syn though, but they go so nice with a bit of meat and veg or even salad. Nom! BTW, they taste just as nice with just water :)

Ah that's good to know about the water for when I don't have any hexa allowance left! Cheers hun :)

Right well only a quicky update again today as had a busy day at work in training followed by the repair man coming to fix our washing machine. Very dull and I'm feeling super tired so off for an early night in a minute! Still haven't got round to reading the diaries, will be nice to have a good afternoon of catching up on Saturday, looking forward to it!

Week 11, Day 2 - EE

Breakfast - Banana
Snack - Grapes and apple
Lunch - tuna nicoise salad with low fat dressing and olives - 2 syns
Snack, 2 x babybel (hexa); 1 gummy sweet - 1 syn
Tea - weetabix (hexb), banana and milk (3 syns)
Supper - veggie stew (same as yesterday) - 2 syns
fat free muller

Total syns - 8 :D

Still eaten lots today but tried to go from more superfree and free foods instead of stuff laden with syns. The tuna nicoise salad from Morrisons was delicious and only had 419 calories, yummy and diet friendly too! Feels good to have a day well under my syns for the first time in ages, also means I get to post on the 'HONK' thread!

Still not fully in SW mode yet, but I'm getting closer to feeling like I'm on track! I think I'll feel a lot better once Saturday is out of the way with and I've faced the music...

Welcome back!

It took me a while to readjust too after hol- funny as I didnt find SW muh of a stuggle at the start but post hol reminded me that the first few days have cravings calling out at you! Ditch the salads and indulge in yummy syn free meals (cheesy pasta etc!) while you settle back in?!
Hope WI isnt as bad as you expect, I have a cheeky feeling you will be pleasantly surprised...

Btw, get on the soup bandwagon- makes me feel SO GOOD to have a superfree soup for a meal, like a massive detox and it's like I can feel my body ticking off an extra half pound or something in happiness each time I do LOLL. Ok, maybe not quite... But now that it is colder it is so easy to just reheat soup and warm up while packing in the superfree!

Congrats on new job! X

Soph - Thanks hun, I do hope you're right although I think a slight gain will be inevitable, but we'll see! Soup would be a good idea for taking to work, now it's getting colder having a salad every day is getting a bit dull, even if they are yummy! Definitely making the most of the filling free foods this week, for the first few days I wanted to eat everything in sight! Thankfully today my appetite seems to be reducing and getting back to normal, by normal I mean how it was pre-holiday and not my 'old' normal, which actually wasn't normal at all with all the crap I ate!

Looks like you've done well while I've been away, haven't had chance to catch up on your diary but only 4lbs now 'till you're down 6 stone!! You must be feeling great!

---

Well today has been quite exciting. I've always loved the thought of romantic gestures, so I figured now I've got a fixed income every month I can plan something really exciting to sweep Chris off his feet! So these last few days I've been plotting and arranged with his manager at work to book him a week off in May, then I set about looking for somewhere AMAZING to take him (that preferably wouldn't totally break the bank!) and today I booked it! He still has absolutely no idea about it and I don't intend to tell him until the day before we travel - I kinda have to tell him then 'cos we'll have to put the cats in a cattery for the week. Even so, I'm only telling him we're going away the next day and showing him a picture collage of the resort during the middle of a nice romantic meal. He won't find out WHERE we're off until we get to Manchester airport - how exciting!!

He doesn't read this so I'm pretty safe telling you guys where we're off to - TUNISIA - Sousse to be precise. I've been wanting to go to Tunisia for ages, especially after Emma's description of how lovely it was and all the trips on offer (reminds me Em I need to msg you about Lanzarote!). Anyway I mentioned it to Chris a while back and he said he'd hate the heat and people selling things on the beach. Fair enough as he doesn't like it too hot, but in May it's average 20c and our hotel had a private beach - win win!

tunisia.jpgtunisia1.jpg

I shopped around for a nice looking hotel with good trip advisor reviews and found the Riadh Palms hotel - 4* all inclusive for both of us and 2 cases each was £650! Quite a bargain and it looks amazing too. There were a few cheaper options if you want a bargain, I could have got us there for under £500 but this hotel looked so nice I didn't mind paying the extra.

That's it for me and holidays for a long time now - I've got Prague, Scotland and Tunisia all lined up so now I just need to concentrate on working, saving some spending money, getting this weight off and concentrating on my open uni course. My first tutorial for uni is 2 weeks on Saturday and I've hardly done any work as yet what with holidays and the job. Off to get some stationary essentials tomorrow night after work so I can get my folder organised and get cracking! Thankfully this weekend apart from the movies Fri and Sat night, I've nothing else planned except WI so can seriously hit the books! I hate being behind with things so feeling quite stressed at the minute with things, it's kinda daunting to be studying at degree level again after all this time.

ANYWAY back to FOOD, the thing my diary is meant to be about!! Had a really good day today, or so I thought 'till I realised I'd made a massive hexb blunder! I forgot breakfast today in a rush for work but thankfully due to light traffic I had time to pop into the supermarket for my usual morning stop off for lunch. I picked up a salad and nipped around the supermarket for a hexb cereal bar. Anyway for some reason I'd got it in my head that oat so simple breakfast biscuits were a hexb, God knows where I got that from as when I looked on-line I found that a serving was 10 syns!! So i've basically wasted 10 syns today on a bleedin' breakfast bar, they were nice but not that nice! Worst thing is I have another 5 servings left... To compensate I stuck with a super low syn tea of weetabix, banana and a splash of milk so I'm still just about within my syns. Aiming for a low syn day tomorrow as it's pre-WI... Ugh. Normally I'm excited about WI, but not this one!

Week 11, Day 3 - EE

Breakfast - Oat so simple breakfast biscuits - 10 syns :sigh:
Snack - Apple and grapes
Lunch - Tuna nicoise salad with olives - 1 syn (i actually counted the olives to work out the syns! What a saddo! :p)
Hot choc - 2 syns
Tea - weetabix (hexb) and splash of milk - 2 syns
Supper - 2 mini babybel - hexa

Total syns - 15 syns!

Despite the high syns it was a relatively low volume food day. I feel like I'm getting back into the swing of things a bit better now :) Looking forward to trying something different for lunch tomorrow, I can't stomach the same salad again!

P.S It'll be so exciting to see where I am weight wise by the time I go to Tunisia, it's not 'till May so I'll have another SIX months to shift some timber! Even at a steady pace of half a stone a month I'll be into the 18's by then! :)
