From here to Slimfinity!!! - Team 6

Hi everyone, like dp I've had a couple of days sort of off plan over the weekend more like 1000+ cals, I've been having the shakes but meal as well and a couple of snacks :( so I reckon about 1000 cals or maybe a little over but not much and low carb stuff though so not as bad as it could have been, but now I'm struggling to get back on ss+ again aarrgghh.
I'm aiming to ss+ for the next month or so.

disney I'm not toned at all wish I was, don't really go to the gym often enough, and exercise (at the gym) bores me would rather be out walking, but going to persevere with gym, the weights etc are the thing that will tone me but really need to lose some weight first.

Hope everyone's having a good week.

So far so good for me on SS+ this week, mind you it's only Wednesday , and l had most of Monday offplan!, LOL.

Weather's been good here in Ayr, been down the beach for a walk/jog the last couple of mornings. Need to work more on toning exercises, no plans to wear a bikini on holiday, but it would be nice to look a bit better in a swimsuit.

A better day cd wise but need to keep it up. just got back from a meeting at school, all doom and gloom, school is in so much debt and has to clear it, so not replacing staff who leave, larger classes everyone has to do more work take on extra responsibilites etc for the same pay, no trips, no training etc we all came away quite depressed, just had a choc shake to cheer myself up. I wish I could win the lottery!

Hope everyone's been having a good week. Weather here in Ayr has still been good, sunny sometimes, not that warm though.
SS+ has been going fine, hope l can keep it like that over the weekend, might make it an 810 day on Sunday.

Trisha, hope things get better with the school budget, a lot of local authorities seem to have financial troubles at the moment, l know ours does. :(

my week has been fairly mixed the odd ss+ day but mostly 810 - 1000 scales haven't moved :( I've really got to get my act together!

Everyone is still really down at work, we don't really know what's going to happen. I know it's not just our school, speaking to friends at other schools both in our LEA's and neighbouring LEA's I think most schools are in more or less the same situation as us, which is why there are so few jobs about especially permenant ones

CD still going ok, slowly, very slowly, but surely!

Quiz, Trisha & Mum2One hope you are all doing well.

Hi dp I'm really struggling at the moment, one good day - a couple bad days :( aaarrgghhh!!! wi on thurs and NOT looking forward to it,as I know I have put on weight - a couple of lbs but they should be lbs off not lbs on  I don't know why I just can't seem to get back into the swing of it and I don't know what to do about it, do I carry on with cd, or try something else? but nothing else works like cd,

Trisha, hang in there, it's hard when you go off track a bit to get refocused - l've been like that many, many times. All l can advise is to take it easy on yourself, try and eat healthly as much as possible and maybe ease yourself back into it.

I'm still determined to lose a bit more, but l feel l'm getting to the stage where l really, really want a life beyond dieting, l sooooo want to be done with it - think l've got diet fatigue, lol. I don't want to keep going through this cycle of gaining and relosing these same last lbs - l'm so fed up with doing that, each time the lbs seem to come off slower than before.

I know l'm going to really have to work at maintaining, more than l realised l would. I've started reading about Mindful Eating http://www.mindfuleating.org/ which hopefully will help me.

I need to get moving up the CD steps soon to prepare for being away in Florida in July, hoping to be on 810 end of next week.

disney I am going to hang in, its just been so stressful at work, and people are worried regarding job losses etc, so there's been lots of biscuits etc to cheer people up, I'm not too bothered as I've been there a long time and I'm on a permanent contract but several of my colleagues are on temporary contracts and are understandably concerned.

I am going to stick with cambridge and try and refocus, I think the problem is I can still get in size 12s although they are now a lot tighter, I still look okay, and I keep thinking "a little bit of this or that" won't make a difference, but then of course a little bit becomes rather a lot :( and its starting to make a difference as my clothes are getting tighter and I don't like it :(. think I'm going to take Thurs as day one again and try afresh. dreading seeing cdc though, just don't know what to say about my constant failures.

Sorry to hear it's been so stressful at work.
My husband is self employed and things are really difficult for him at the moment (he's still at work just now), he's an accountant and a lot of his clients are finding it tough, just hope things get better, so far we've managed not to lay off any of our 5 staff. Glad l booked our holiday when l did & it's paid for.

hi disney, my husband is self employed as well, he works in the building trade, so I guess you know what thats been like lately, he has been lucky as the contractor he's been working for is still doing ok at the moment but have had to cut their prices which in turn affects my husband. He also does some work for his own customers and that is starting to pick up a little, but heaven knows whats going to happen with a new government, which is also going to affect my job as there is talk of cutting public sector jobs which affects schools :(

Had a much better day cd wise and for the first time in quite a while had a 100% day :) like you I am tired of gaining and losong the last few lbs, We can do it, and then maintain!

Hi Trisha, well done on 3 days of 100% - brilliant. I'm doing ok, weight coming off very slowly though, still enjoying going out walking & jogging. Hope you have a good weekend, it's nice and sunny here.

morning start of day 4 hubby is working all day :( so off to the gym shortly then I going to get stuck into some house work, and sort out all the cupboards, sun is shining here today hope it stays like that. Have a good day.

Hi Trisha, sorry l've not been about the past few days, the time just seems to fly by at the moment. Well done on being 100% SS for a whole week - fantastic! :happy096:

I had Friday evening & Saturday off diet, been back on track from Sunday onwards.

Haven't seen Quizz or Mum2one on minis for a while, hope they are doing ok.

I was thinking that, maybe we should pm them to see if they are ok?

Trisha, good idea. :)

I'm still on track, moving up to 810 on Friday. Bought some new exercise trousers today - was going to buy a size 14 as l don't like things too tight, but they didn't have them in stock, so l bought a size 12, thinking l'd have to wait a few weeks until they fit, tried them on when l got home and they fit now :), l'm really pleased.
I've been doing a lot of walking & jogging, even though the scales have been slow in moving the exercise seems to be paying off as l feel l'm getting fitter, l'm really enjoying it too, need to do toning exercises though.

well done on the size 12's I'm not going to the gym as often as I should and as dh has been working for the last 2 weekends not done much walking either! I really must make an effort to go to the gym more,
