Getting a grip

So here's a positive already.

Friend phoned. Fancy having dinner sometime this week? Me: Yep, sounds great. Thursday ok for you? Instead of errrrrrrr... I'm pretty booked up this week. Maybe we could have a coffee and ill drink black coffee nor sparkling water and salivate over your choices. Thursday will be an up day and I can have something!

The other thing is... I've been mulling over what to have. Think in going to have whatever be it diet this n that, low fat, wheaty, gluteny, carby etc then change wee bits as I go along. Don't want to change too much too soon. Just see how I feel.

So don't be shocked if I'm not eating nuts n seeds is what in trying to say! X

Hmm I'd have you on dry bread and water myself except you with your bread fetish would enjoy that way too much :p

Have a a great few days and get on that bloody bike tomorrow - give it a couple of weeks and I might get mine out of the she'd (think covered in cobwebs/Miss Haversham) and join you for a ride somewhere flat and straight ;)

Keep me updated and if you're free Monday evening do you fancy a walk? xx

(Just in case you think I'm completely dense, I do in fact know what you mean having had to read Great Expectations for my English Lit O'level in 1978. 'Break their hearts my pride and joy; break their hearts and have no mercy'. Wish I'd taken her advice. LOL.)

Deeeee woon (Geordie accent!)

It's a DD. So, as I said I'm going to do whatever and then amend depending on results. Feeling good so far and looking forward to getting some supplies in. Think I'll go to Aldi because Asda is too big/crowded and their fruit beg goes off quicker!

Any tips on good stuff to stick up on, feel free to let me know. Just not eggs. I'm allergic!

Ill post food later. Currently having a black coffee (decaf) after finally getting out on my bike. Only did about 6 miles but it was good to gauge what I need to focus on for Tri in 10 days (oops, last minute Annie) first thing I'll need to do is start taking brown inhaler twice daily on the run up because I was very wheezey despite taking inhaler beforehand, so that's good to know!

Was funny food shopping. Soooooo strange. Weird!

I kept thinking oh, I can't buy that because it's not diet or low fat then I realised I can still have it. Id pick something up n think, nah... Too many syns or nah it's a carb. Then i put it in my trolley.

I actually bought diet Pepsi instead of coke zero. Whoop whoop! I know fizzy isn't good but it's fir emergencies!

It was funny how my brain was whirring. I bought butter and full fat Greek yoghurt. Rock n roll!

I did buy loads if healthy stuff. Fruit, veg, salad. No sweets or biscuits or treats really apart from oatcakes. I think that would be a step too far for me!

Anyway, apologies for the major amounts of posting, feel like a kid at Christmas! X

Lol, bless ya, I'll be exactly the same when I pop over to fasting to join u! Still a few stone away for me yet though!! Looking forward to seeing how you find it, you and cate are like guinea pigs! :)

I'll probably end up a pig cos I got it wrong! I didn't listen at SW and thought that miller rice were free. Hmmmmm.., was never one for reading instructions or rules! X

How did you find cycling again, apart from the wheeze. Its great you got out on the road. Just need to build up your stamina now x x

Don't tell Katie I liked shopping!

Bike felt ok. Need to practise using those cleats but at least I didn't fall off today. Need to practise hairpin turn half way up a hill with my left foot unclipped incase I come to a stand still or there are lots of other cyclists turning at same time. It's quite a big field and fast course. I hope I won't be causing a commotion! X
