getting back to target - one day at a time

I ended up using the full sachet in my porridge so used 2 syns, I've done it with half before though, both ways work :)

Tomorrow is WI day, sort of dreading it as I've let a couple of tiny bits slip in this week, but hoping they're not as bad as I think and that my exercise will have been enough to warrant top syns. Fingers crossed

Change of plan again tomorrow... boyfriends decided he wants Chinese (as its Chinese new year this weekend) so he's doing the curry on Sat (although actually thinking about it might make more sense to have the curry tomorrow and Chinese on Sat as Chinese new year is actually Sunday) but anyway, I'll update when I know what's going on and what I'm eating, not sure whether to go green or not.

Hi Donna

Do you have the recipe for your Thai chicken curry really fancy trying something like that :)
When I was looking at syns last Friday when I had Chinese I was suprised how low they were and the portions from our Chinese was loads four of us didn't eat it all. Just enjoy it xx

I know, I sort of had my syns planned out for the week is all so will have to do some shifting about. I'm set in my ways lol.
I love Chinese on slimming world, there are some danger foods but lots are low syn, I'm actually thinking about trying a Singapore chow mein, never had one before but I like chow mein and I like spicy, think I'd be safe synning that as a normal chow mein, which is a bit more then what I normally go for chicken in black bean sauce but less then the kung po and will also be nice to try something different as well.

We bought a paste from tesco, it was on offer 3 for something so we got one red thai one green thai and one masaman thai as well, we just fry off the meat we're using with whatever veg and then the paste which works out low syn as you only need a tiny bit each time, then for the green and red we always add philli light 75g each as a HEX, the masaman one we've used with philli and pasatta and its lovely with both.... when he does it this time he's going to try quark, which I'm a bit nervous about as we haven't liked it in the past but the philli wasn't on offer and I think he's hoping as long as he doesn't cook the quark it will be okay and the taste of the paste will overpower the quark (I'll let you know how it works out)

Thanks Donna I've got a tin of coconut milk in and I thought that went in Thai curry but yours seems quick and easy and I do looove Philly :) x

Hope you enjoy, I've seen some recipes with coconut milk but never used it myself to be honest.

really looking forward to my take-away tonight, just trying to hold the boys off ordering it too early though as I don't want to be really hungry later lol

run on the treadmill went great :) 7.2 miles and felt like I could have done more, but didn't want to push myself too much and cause an injury as the longest I've run before is just under 5 miles. So happy with myself :D

Thank you, hoping I can keep it up and be like my mum.... who I actually got a compliment off yesterday, we were talking about the running club awards and I joked about getting in with the coach so I could get the coaches award as I didn't think I'd win the race one and my mum said she thinks I'll be in with a good chance as I'm a fast runner (coming from my mum who is very much into her running that's a very big compliment) she also said she was impressed with how I ran on Thursday as most of my runs recently have been inside rather then out... :)
