Gill SW diary -green days

That's my new thing I love frozen blueberries thrown in my porridge already but the jam just tops it off nice, was gorgeous on the syn free pancakes last night too!

Syn free pancakes do sound good.
Yes tell us more.

Thank you Gemma. Will give them a go at the weekend :)

Thursday
B - pineapple, strawberries, berries, ff

snack - full bar 2x HEB
felt really strange about an hour and a half after my breakfast so needed to have something to eat, felt weak and shakey (like my bood sugar was low) and I think it may have been caused by the pineapple. I am really sensitive to some fruits, mainly grapes so far but think I've discovered pineapple may not be great for me either. It's horrible as I feel like I need to eat something even though not truely Hungary just to avoid passing out and to stop shaking! So won't be having that again for breakfast!

lunch - cauliflour pizza, veg, cheese HEA (had this about 2.30pm so won't eat tea until late)

D- Mediterranean vegetables with cottage cheese.

I have problems with my blood sugars too I had to have several blood transfusions a few year back (that's another story!ha) and I kept fainting a lot and felt the same, dizzy, light headed and faint and I just needed something to eat, the Doctor done the tests and confirmed it was dangerously low and told me to carry around a chocolate bar or an energy drink to have when I felt it coming on, I think she could see the horror in my face at this prospect as I was dieting choc at the time was a no no (never used to eat my syns!!) and I don't drink caffeine either! so she said grapes were the best fruit for a sugar hit but if you have problems with those you could keep some freddos (5 syns) or curly wurlys (6 syns) handy I find now a sugar hit stops me going faint...

Thanks Gemma. I do seem to need to eat regularly to keep it in check which is why I always have snacks between my meals, find I don't normally feel as bad then. Do you still struggle with it? It's so frustrating! I was really bad a few years ago but found increasing my protein helped which is when I started buying shakes and bars for snacks as they are low in sugar but high in protein and tend to keep it stable. I did use to grab a cereal bar or something but found myself dipping all the time as the impact of the cereal bar raising my sugar didn't seem to last long then it would drop again. Swear by protein to keep things ok for me. Think this morning maybe not enough protein and too much sugar didn't keep it normal for very long.

ah transfusions sound awful! I was threatened with one as my iron was really low for ages and wouldn't increase but in the end it turned out to be very low levels of vitamin d and b so a few injections later I was ok and keep on track with it now.

I don't have too many problems now as they said it was down to the transfusions and my body was adjusting, I do have the odd moment but I have a cereal bar or fruit, refined sugar just gives you an instant hit if you are going to faint but isn't the best because you then have a "sugar crash" so snacking on fruit is good as it's natural sugars and keeps your levels more stable. What are we like we need throwing in the rubbish pile the pair of us!haha

Haha I often think that myself! I seem to always be in the wars! Glad you are better now though and don't suffer from crashes often.

has anyone any nice plans for the weekend? I've stopped the freeze on my gym membership so may go back and try gentle cycling with no resistance for a short time, see how it goes.

today I had a sleek peek and I was 11.4 1/2 so lost 1/2lb :)

L - veg, pasta bake, cottage cheese, 2x laughing cow light with sprinkle of Parmesan HEA

How have you been finding being back at work? You'll prob find once you get back into a routine and are more active the weight will start flying off! I'm pampering myself tonight in preparation for the weekend, got a presentation do ALL DAY in the pub tomorrow and BBQ (eeek!!) and Sunday I have a few options - all of course involve lots of alcohol! but I will decide depending on how "tender" I feel when I wake up Sunday... Relax Monday ready to go back to work Tue, got a nice 3 day week next week as off next Friday (full day of clothes shopping for my holiday :D) so next week will be a breeze! How about you anything nice planned?

Sounds lovely! I hope the weather is nice :)

Its been strange in one way as feels like Ive not really been away now! My leg is very sore today but I'm not sure if that is partly to do with the cold as it may just need warming up to stop aching so much. I'm looking forward to getting back to the gym and into my normal routine again, think that's still a few weeks away but really am hoping now I'm moving more the weight will start to come off :)

got family over tonight then out with my sister and her bf on Monday as he has finished uni so celebrating. Going to try and stay on plan 100% though as not long to go until Italy now so pressure is on..... Need to shift some weight for my own confidence so I don't drive oh mad moaning about it haha :fingerscrossed:

the pampering sounds amazing! I need some pampering, my skin has just decided to start being very bad and breaking out! Argh! Hoping its just tiredness/apprehension of going back to work but its a good reason for some pampering ;) just browsing feel unique for some goodies ;)

I've suffered with bad skin for years now, used to have perfect skin but one day it all went wrong and has been the same ever since  really gets me down! Thank the Lord for Estee Lauder Double Wear it is my rock! I LOVE feel unique they have some great offers on now and then perfect come xmas time!

Yeah sounds like it could be the cold you can ache in the cold weather to start off with never mind when you're on the mend! And always the same when you go back to work never feels like you have been away from the place.
