Go Lower

By the way

Pea and Pancetta soup - yuck, yuck, yuck! They are going back!

You said you dont like the nuts and seeds didnt you? I was goign to say have them with cheese.

The other thing I do if hungry hungry is have a cheese and bacon or cheese and ham omlette. In fact I think I might have that for dinner ;)

Good luck

Pit :)

Hi Pitpie!
How long have you been doing Go Lower, and how is it going?
I'm only on day 3, but really liking it so far!

One last question - I imagine that I'm meant to mix up my veggies a bit??? I think I'm addicted to cauliflower cheese!!! LOL! Would it do any harm to have it everynight?

Hi

I am on week 12 of 20, just starting my transition.

Have found it very easy and effective.

I have done calculated cheats and it hasn't done me any harm.

I have 22lb to go but back in my size 8-12 clothes rather than the 18 - 22 I started with.

Re the same veg every night, be carefull with the cauli cheese as you have creme fresh in it and that may take you over your dairy allowance.

Saying that I havent weighed one thing since i started just did it by eye as I know if I weigh I would get bored and maybe fail

Thanks for the tips!
Re the dairy allowance, I hardly ever use milk so hopefully my cauliflower cheese will be ok!:D

Just had my tea, and tummy feeling full for the first time today!

Think I'll go to bed early though just to be safe!

As far as filling low carb snacks go, I def think that the egg mayo was best for me. I love cheese and it is too easy to snack on that, but it doesnt seem to fill me up!!

I actually didn't feel hungry at the start - today I am eating for England lol

the other trick I have done is have bacon and eggs for brekkie and then my graola, berry and double cream as a snack or dessert. An extra meal and no extra carbs.

Good luck :)

Ooooh, bacon! That sounds like a great snack! And that really fills me up! Will get some tomorrow!
Petipe - you are a mine of information! Thanks again!

Hi to everyone who's not been here for before. I love this forum as all the ideas from everyone are great as well being inspirational.

I'm on week 6, and feel great. If I'd known about Go Lower years ago, would be stick thin by now. Still the best things come to those who weight!(Hahaha)

Pleased everyone is doing so well. Keep it off girls and keep it up.

xx

Does anyone use the Go Lower Forum?

I quite like it, but there is one person on there who is driving me nuts!
She speaks down to everyone, when she has not lost much weight on Go Lower!
Frequently her answers are wrong and she has no idea about the basic principles of a low carb diet!!!

Sorry, just needed to vent!

Quick question, once we are no longer buying the Go Lower stuff, will we still be able to buy food in their shop occasionally, or do we have to just buy off ebay??

Jacquie I am talking to you on there as well:) It's Claire *waves*

I post a lot on there but certain people peee me off so found this :)

I do have a story to tell you on her - you are not alone. I met 5 other Go Lowers last week in RL and she drives all of us nuts!

I need all the positive support as now is sort of when I normally fail on a diet - get to the clothes size and not the weight (yet) so lookign for the positive.

LOL!!!
Im glad that its not just me that she annoys! I dont think I know anyone so rude and offensive as her - i just want to strangle her!!
I take it that she is not on here then???
God, I hope not!
Ive emailed about the forum/shop after we finish.
Ive really only just started, but to be honest some of the meals are really really rich, so dont think I will order a whole box next month. Love the granola, soups, bars, but would be nice not to have to order a whole month of evening meals - does that make sense???

lol you are not alone and as soon as I can send a private message on here I will and tell you the whole story.

We were all so relieved the others felt the same and to be honest we are all haveing a bit of a dig at her now. I lover the fact she keeps contradicting herself so I keep pointing it out when she does lol.

Basically ignore anything said by her. She has done it twice in a year so she cant know that much to put the weight back on and come back for round 2! And this time it was less that 10lb she needed to loose.

But, that aside......

It does

I am on 20 weeks (sorry repeating myself across the 2 rooms) and I have missed cookign so what I tend to do is hold my boxes untill I am ready for them and then I have always from day 1 cooked a bit.

If you want to cook ask Kaye for some tips - she does know what she is talkign about and mentioned a great book the other day on how to balance it ;)

As I have been going through the weeks I on average have 2 breakfast and 2 - 4 lunch dinners not out the box. For me its the difference to sticking with it or giving up :)

It's really nice to know that you can kind of mix and match with normal food. I'm really not much of a cook, which is why this diet appealed, but I'm starting to really believe that just a plain chicken breast might be a real treat in a few days time!:) I hope we can still use the shop/forum after stopping because I love my granola, soup and raspberry bars and want to keep them in my low carb plan even if not using many of their main meals.

I know that Avidlite sell the bars, but can find the granola, soups anywhere.

I've noticed everyone starting to have a go at Una (I've even started to join in!) but really one of the official people should say something because almost all of her replies are WRONG!

When we met last week and were discussing this it was the day after Shaz had told her to shut up and we were all incensed!

All I can say is, as far as I am aware it is in had and she hasn't been here for the last few days so may be sorted. Hope I am not jinxing anything now.

this women sounds interesting....I've not been on the Go Lower forum..maybe I should try?! Sounds like lots of support on there.

I also love cooking, and find mixing and matching really helpful and a piece of grilled chicken - I never realised I loved it as much as I do. It's funny how things change. I would never have thought I'd have been happy just eating chicken and veg with no carbs at all, but actually it's really nice and you don't get that bloated really full feeling you can get sometimes after eating pots or bread and pasta..

Keep going everyone and good luck.
xx

Hi Happy!
You should go and have a giggle! She seems to have disappeared the last few days so maybe she has had her knuckles wrappped, but there are still loads of her old posts to be totally amazed at! LOL!

Have to say I've now found quite a lot of meals that I don't want again, so I need to organise myself and get some exchanged. But the ones I like, I really like! I may end up on granola, brocolli & cheese soup, and chicken curry everyday!! Oh, well at least I won't be hungry! LOL!

By the way, I had 2 slices of bacon as a mid morning snack and really filled me up!

Good luck today everyone!
