Gobolino's Food Diary - converted to ww now!

Well done!! I don't know how you did it, but you should be very proud of yourself!

Thanks! Here are my tactics (some pinched from Derbynanny ;) ):

1) chewing chewing gum
2) being very quick with the washing up (no chance for second thoughts on licking the bowl! ;) )
3) having a treat lined up ready for when I finish (mars ice cream -mmmm)
4) I have vague thoughts about cake making as a business and need to prove to myself that eating the cake batter/buttercream wont become a habit (ok I've only gone without once, but its a start!)
5) Immediately write about my progress on here :)

Friday 8th

B-2 weetabix, fibre plus bar, banana (HB, HB, HA 350ml for weetabix and in tea)
D-chilli philli (71g HA), ryvita minis (5syns), veg soup, vlf natural yog
T-SW wedges, beans, egg :)
snack- 2 apples, 2 plums

Will be glad to go food shopping soon to get some fresh veg/salad for cooking over the weekend! Meanwhile, I'm making do with whatever I can throw together.

Thanks!

What a nightmare I've cut my huge cake in half and it wasnt cooked. I've been using a new cake tin which is meant to cut cooking time by 1/3rd, plus when I tested it was looking to be done. I'm always aware of overcooking, I've never under cooked a cake in my life. Nightmare! I'm a day behind now and have cake take two in the oven. My lady is coming at 11 tomorrow so I'll have to have a mega early start to carve and ice it tomorrow for her to pick up!!!! I could have eaten the whole bowl of buttercream in disappointment but I didnt :) I licked one finger full of it and the same of cake batter. I'm not counting this as its far outweighed by the extra hour of cake beating of cake take 2.

In hindsight, TOTM, late night previously and working full time too means cake baking suffered from not having my full attention/energy! Fingers crossed this next one wil be ok :)

My food day went to plan, high on syns but not too bad:
B-2 weetabix, fibre plus bar, banana (HB, HB, HA 350ml for weetabix and in tea)
D-chilli philli (71g HA), ryvita minis (5syns), veg soup, vlf natural yog
T-spanish wedges (with oil, tom puree, paprika, garlic, lemon and parsley 6 syns), egg, side salad. Mars ice cream (7syns)
snack- 1 apple, 2 plums, highlights 11g (2syns), vlf fromage frais

total syns =20

Saturday I took a day off plan, I was tired. I wasnt off plan and thinking sod it I'll eat what I like, it was more off plan and eating what I wanted (not thinking I've blown it and will overeat)..... does that make any sense at all? I just wanted to not count things for a day!

B-50g porridge, 20g sultanas (I was still weighing things at breakfast!), cup of tea
D-wholemeal roll with a smear of light chilli philli, lettuce, spring onions, cucumber and cheese, 2 pernods and diet lemonade, mars ice cream
T-large salad with 2/3rds of a piece of salmon and new potatoes, small slice of chocolate sponge with chocolate custard.
exercise -30mins walk
Sometimes, its just nice not to count, I really needed a break. I am back to it properly today though.

Sundays plan:
B-vlf natural yog and raspberries
D-mixed beans (chickpea, butterbeans, baked beans, kidney beans, passata, onion, chilli, garlic) with new potatoes and brown rice, mars ice cream (7syns)

Monday sabbotage strikes again :( I need to feel I really deserve this, to start keeping me on track -ggggggrrrrrrrr :(

You SOOO deserve it Gobolino, you have made a great effort and are doing so well - joining class has really boosted your losses too!
Why not set yourself a mini goal - you're nearly at 165 now :)

How was weigh in? I am just getting ready to go and face the scales and dreading it, I am still struggling with my back and not exercising, this year has been so tough for me once i can run again (or even swim or cycle regularly i am going to be so thankful)

Don't go AWOL missy, get yourself back on here! How was weigh in?

I'm making a new recipe tonight - moroccan fish tagine. Will let you know how it goes as I think it's the sort of thing you might like :)

Hello - I survived weigh in, I stayed the same!

Teresa, its so hard with your back not being right, I can sympathise alot as I've had issues with mine too a few years ago, was off work for a few months too. It does get you down, but you'll get there and be back exercising. I guess you just have to throw yourself into the food aspect of things right now :)

PCSUey - thanks for the stern words - ha ha! Its very easy to hide when things arent going well. I think I've been quite frustrated the last few days with lack of time for food shopping, preparing food and exercising. I've been hanging in there just about until yesterday when the chocolate took a hold. Your morrocan fish tagine sounds lovely, definitely the sort of thing I'd fancy! Fingers crossed it turns out yummy.

Ok, so this week I'm really wanting to lose some weight! I had an emergency shop to a little tesco after class and hopefully will get to Aldi tonight for a proper shop. I do have more time to exercise this week (the last couple of weeks I've been walking everyday but no classes), plus I'm trying to have a few extra easy days to perk things up a bit.

Here's today: Wednesday 13th APril
B- all bran (42g HB), banana, skimmed milk (HA)
D- wholewheat pasta twists, light salad cream (tablespoon, 1syn), salmon. Tom, cu, sweetcorn, celery, onion, mixed leaves with rocket.
T- prawn stir fry with julienne carrots and courgette, onions, peppers and noodles, garlic ginger and chilli sauce (10g 10calories = 0.5syns)
pud- strawberries, quark, vlf fromage frais, 1/2 packet of white choc options (1syn)
snacks- carrot sticks, apple, 2 x bens butterscotch hifi (6syns), mint hifi (6syns) I'd forgotten I'd already had my HB ggrrrrrr!
That has to be it on the syns for today :) 14.5 syns total

20mins walk and mad shop around aldi and sainsburys!
