annoying when you don't have a loss after being on plan!
SP days......I think I have only done those days by accident lol ....when i'm on plan, I tend to do just EE or the odd 'old' red/green days:)

So I jumped on the scales this morning to see another +3lb difference! How the **** does that happen!? Ok so I was very naughty yesterday but it gets you thinking how so I looked it up and found a really interesting article. I've been showing signs of * week since Wednesday last week, but still the main event is holding out on me. This has to be a reason why. Every other weigh in at group so far it's not seemed to be a factor as I've always seem to be done and dusted by weigh in. Anyway the points kinda make sense and have made me think about it a bit more and is an eye opener as well why I see no difference when I increase my exercise - http://www.fiscusfitness.com/post/90/How-Did-I-Gain-3-Pounds-Overnight-

I guess I'm struggling as my group is fairly new and I have been on the plan at least 6 months longer than anyone else there, most of them are still really new to it so are still seeing the normal good losses and I'm left feeling like a failure...again. Guess all I can do is try get back on it from today, face the music tomorrow and see what next Monday holds. Weight loss is such a pain at Christmas!..lol..
 
Hi gemsta, hope you don't mind me subscribing! Don't worry about what the scales are saying, it can be disheartening though....why don't you try measuring yourself instead? I can't bare seeing a gain, but if I've lost inches I'm happy.
I've read the article and as it says it could be water weight due to hormones or maybe a high sodium meal? ....I find the best thing to beat the bloat is to drink lots of water..but it's inevitable some days of the month.
I gained 0.8 pound a few weeks ago and was totally miffed as to why...but the following week I lost 4 so it'll balance out regardless....I think we would all see better results if we weighed only twice a month! And it'll show a bigger loss then too, also it gives you room to rectify any mistakes, say if you had a few treats...2weeks will give you enough time for damage control!
I think I may do the instead X
 
Welcome Nat.. :) I measured myself when I began my journey but lost my original measurements (my only regret!) so I was sure I wrote them in my book when I joined group. I measured myself after 10 weeks at group I only lost 8lb but I lost another 6 inches in total from my bust, waist and hips. So it is worth doing for sure! I am going to wait until I am back on track before I measure myself again :)
The info in that link is a bit of an eye opened isn't it? I think if I were still doing it from home I would only weigh once a fortnight for sure as you say I am sure the results in the long run would be better! * week arrived this morning! Typical! So weighed in at group at +1.5lbs, my 3rd gain in 3 weeks :(

Still, no sense in being all down, back on it and only a takeaway with friends planned for this week so I will flexi-syn to allow for it and hope with * week out the picture and a good week the rest I will see some loss....well...I can live in hope!..lol..

Don't worry Gemsta this time of year so naff for losses think we need the break sometimes to give us a boost again when we retry. Just do your best for this month and i'll be joining you. X
 
Ain't it just Bubble...lol.. In one way I can't wait for Christmas to be over and done with so the temptation goes and get back on it properly, that said I am going to enjoy my 3 days off for Christmas whatever happens :)
 
Don't worry too much about the gain :) * week can cause havoc with the scales! This is the worst time of year to be losing weight. My plan is to be as good as possible, plan, and try not to worry if I have a blip! Then once all the festivities are over I can hopefully get back on it!
 
I am really hoping this week is just a * week blip but 3 gains in 3 weeks ain't ideal! The first one I wasn't that good...we'd been away so I had 3 days off plan, but the 2nd one I really tried...I was on plan all week apart from going over slightly on syns the day before weight in due to the Christmas party including 4 SP days!.... I hope I can get a loss. As it will prove to me that I can do it, even if it's short lived, though I am only planning on been off plan Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day and then probably New Years Eve and New Years Day :) Next years is target year...something has to give and I need to shift these remaining 26lbs! :)
 
Hey lovely, I'm sorry to see you are having a nightmare with weighins... I know my star week does have a really big effect on my weight.
I have every faith that you will get to target next year, however I am a big believer in not putting too much pressure on yourself and I think you might just be doing that right now.

Look at the bigger picture, look at where you where this time last year (both mentally and physically) and hopefully you can see the changes. Target will come, but maybe be less hard on yourself. You have already done so fantastically, I know you will continue to do so xx
 
Morning beautiful... This is the first weigh in at group where * week has fell right in line with class. Up until now I have been lucky where I have just missed weigh in and been finished by the time it came around again..lol.. I am determined that I get a loss next week. You could be right, but I look at people I have come to know at group and have lost over 5 stone since January and is now at target...I want that to be me as I'm now almost 18 months into my journey and not much further along. I feel I have to hard cos nobody else will for me....right..I'm nodding off here so bedtime..will be back later to update diary :) x

This time of year a lot of us a struggling to lose some weight, it's annoying when you've been good though and they don't play ball!
I know i'm not overly bothered right now -- well I am and i'm not lol
But I would rather not put tooooo much on this Christmas....

I reckon a lot of us will do will next year :)

I have some of that spiced Ribena, well I bought some but haven't yet had any, although I better had soon as my teenage daughter has been guzzling it and it's going down quick!:D

Thanks Denn.... I think I'm going to ''allow'' myself a 4lb gain for my days off merely as that was all I put on 2 weeks AI on Egypt, hoping that being under that will give me a boost. I just have not hit any of my mini targets for so long. After the New Year I'm going to start them again :)

And yes, best sample the Ribena! I'm enjoying a mug right now :)

So I have updated my diary for today. I have to say I am proud of myself! Last night as work we had our Christmas Curry (takeaway ordered in for us) I resisted the curry! Luckily I did take some leftover chilli with me and had that. I did however have a can of Cider and 2 Mini Mince Pies, but I am still well under syns for the week :)

Tonight is my last night shift this week and then 3 next week finishing at 7 Christmas Eve morning (oh the joys of retail!..lol..) I really am hoping it starts to feel slightly more like Christmas soon...I really am not feeling it yet :(
