Good Books

Becca Wecca

skinny minny here I come!
Hey everyone I recently got a kobo e-book reader. it's really got me into reading, and i'm always on the look out for new books. So as the title says. What are your reccomendations for good books to read?

We should start a book club! :coffee:

I have recently read the hunger games trilogy. Was good, easy read too x

The uglies but Scott Westwood? I have heard they r quite good, I've just downloaded them but not read them yet. Apparently quite like hunger games x

Is the Kobo compatible with Kindle books? If so, have a look at the Amazon Kindle website because there are lots of cheap books on there at the moment.

I have a kindle and love scouring amazon for bargain books. I try to get a lot of the free ones or 20p ones by new authors. They can be very hit and miss though. There are also loads of websites that do text file books cheap/free which I would assume can be used on all e-readers.

I suppose it depends what kind of book you are looking for. I recently read one called Me Before You by JoJo Moyes (i think) and really enjoyed it - romance but with a twist. I also really enjoyed the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo books, though it did take me two attempts to get into the first one!

Ive tried reading the girl with the dragon tattoo, but I really struggled to get into it. I loved the film though so I may give it another chance

That's the thing I like all varieties of books and want to broaden my reading. The good thing with ready the really cheap or free books is if I really can't get not it I skip it, whereas when I was buying books I would feel guilty doing it because I paid a fiver upwards for it!

They are tough going to start with, all three of the books could have done with a good editing job I reckon! They are seriously gripping once you get into them though.

Have you read anything by Neil Gaiman? If not I would definitely recommend pretty much anything he has written. Neverwhere, Stardust and American Gods are my favourites.

Need to download some Neil gaiman to try x

I think he finished them shortly before he died, although there has been the big wrangle between his partner and family and apparently there was a fourth book that is unfinished that will never see the light of day.

Is that confirmed? I had heard there was a court thingy going on! X

I think his family had confirmed that there was an unfinished book as far as I know? Whether it ever gets published is another thing...

I've read me before you too I loved it made me cry a little bit!

Dorothy koomson books are really good to I would recommend the woman he loved before and Ice cream girls.

Books that have put my life on hold were Fifty Shades Of Grey, Twilight Saga, anything by Jeffrey Archer, The Lost Symbol and The Sugar Girls. Hope that helps. Jane Eyre is free on Kobo, Kindle and ibooks for iPad and is amazing to revisit as a grown woman to get things from it missed in former years.
