I'm vegan and I use alpro soy yogurt, which works out 7.5 syns for 500 ml or 2 syns for the small pots. If you have internet access try googling the syn values, most of the time you will get the answer or look on at different threads. Just ask someone will help xI am a restarter again today.
Moved house, changed job and ill health messed me up last time ( as if I needed an excuse to scoff!)
Strict veggie who leans towards vegan and would like to get there.
Any advice gratefully received.
What fat free yogurts and fromage frais do people use?
How do you work out syn values if you are not a member of SW?
Not at all, ask away it's how you learn you can always ask me on my diary, just follow the link on my signature xThank you...I think you are going to get fed up of me!
I don't suppose you have found a nice syn free toffee yogurt?obviously given that Muller choose to use the insulation in cows SMS pigs kneecaps to set their lite range I don't use them!
Also, have you come across the 0% yeo valley vanilla large pot? Do you have a syn value?
How do you get your chips so perfect? Is there a special method? Yours look amazing compared to my pathetic attempt xx

Haha I invested in a chip tray after hearing everyone at group raving about them!! I got mine from Sainsbury's and it was about a fiver - it's an oval-ish shaped tray with little holes in the bottom which ensures the heat gets to them from every angle so they go nice and brown all over.
So now all I have to do is peel my spuds, cut into nice thin chips (I aim for close to McDonalds size), spray the chip tray and the chips with frylight, and then straight into the oven for about 30 mins - give them a good shake up once or twice during cooking, and voila, perfect chips!
Apparently you can get cheaper versions of the chip trays from Poundland that look like mesh trays, and they seem to work just as well
Yes a lot of thread are old, I tend to look at the more recent ones or ones that are used regularly. Ha ha ha ha it is a bit like that but the way I see it is if you don't want people to see what you've written don't write it lol. And that's some job switch. That sounds really horrible, I hope you weren't hurt. I do feel there is a lot of pressure on nurses and it must be quite risky working alone, traveling about and going in people's home at all sorts of times. I work nights in a hotel, and there's only 2 of us that work during the night so I work alone a lot of the time. We carry radios with us at all times as we deal with people who are drunk or have been drinking most nights. Thanks for this- I did plough through the thread, but it was very long! A lot was out of date, as well.
I have been looking at your online diary- I feel like a stalker
i used to be a District Nurse, so sympathise with your hubby's Diabetic neuropathy. I got held hostage by a patient and retrained, now a trainee solicitor.
