Hello Everyone!

If you get the mens monthly pack and have 4 packs a day it works out at £1.11 per pack including the postage, £4.44 a day, I used to spend more than that on lunch! It's a bit of a downer when the scales don't budge but I have to wonder if every few weeks your body needs a bit of a breather from shifting weight and readjusts itself. I've seen small weight losses with BIG inch losses on quite a few signatures on here. I'm definitely measuring this week! I can see my loss so much in my face and in how my clothes are fitting, the scales shouldn't be so important, but that's what we've conditioned ourselves with, and I for one reinforce that condition several times a day. Maybe we should start a buddy group that commits to not getting weighed for a month :)eek:) and see what happens? Would be interesting to see if we lose more!

Hope you're feeling on the mend soon, really hope you get something sorted with your job :)

Nattycat - cute website! I like your style - especially love the cut-out style love birds and cards, they're beautiful! I really hope you find some work soon that'll sustain you into the NY. I'm hoping for a little more energy today and get stuff done, but I find myself watching This Morning and drinking tea.

Noodles - no weighing for a MONTH??!! A MONTH? I'm a daily weigher, but I agree with you - prob better off without the scales and boring my mind with the details of how much I weigh! Maybe we compensate when we know we've lost or use the scales as a reason to be discouraged?

Ugh. I'll think about it. But not too hard. Or I'll get on the scales again!

Thanks hun, feeling much more positive today - i think i was just having a blip yesterday - at least i managed to stay away from the biscuit tin!
I just don't feel like eating at the moment, i'm not used to it! My friend noticed my face looked slimmer, which was a boost - she's always been a natural size 10 since we met, and i've always been jealous!
The funny thing about the scales is - when i was on orlistat, i used to get weighed every 2 weeks by the nurse and didn't bother in between time!
I lost 17 kgs in the year on that, i'm already down like half of that in a few weeks - and no horrible side effects!!

So no matter what happens i'm doing well - we all are :)

Thanks for the kind words, with the sheer amount of jobs i've applied for, someone will have to have me!!

I know how you feel about jobs hun. My hubby is at uni and getting a student loan so when i lost my crappy call centre job it turned out we weren't entitiled to Jsa either (because £650 a month is so going to feed 3 of us and pay the rent and bills!! but according to the gov apparently so) I then decided to start my own business i am currently re training as a nail tech i got a gov grant to start up too. plus because your young (sub 26) if you were to set up on your own graphic company you would get a princes trust grant (young entrepreneurs something or other) worth a ponder.... xxxx

Ahh it's rediculous! My oh gets £400 - we do get some help but we struggle to make ends meet every month - luckily when i wanted to start s&s i had saved some money! I've applied to every job from call centres to even *shudder* mcdonalds!!! So fingers crossed, it'll all work out :)
I've had my own 'business' if you can call it that, but it was a horrible experience! I'm too nice haha x

I have a job interview on saturday - im so happy :) going outfit shopping with my mum tomorrow, hope its not as much of a terrible experience as usual!

Fantastic. Well done

Well done you!

Brilliant! Excited for you! X

Thanks everyone :) feeling happy today! Hoping this is where my luck begins to turn around! Looking forwards to buying something nice :) xx

That's brilliant news - enjoy the outfit shopping too. Can't wait for the point where I can go shopping. so looking forward to it

@noodles - im nowhere near goal but it cant be worse than about 4 weeks a go, i got a dress stuck on my boobs in primark - which my mum announced to the whole changing room! Eek! But im 6% of my way to my ugw, so i cant complain for the timescale really :) do you have a christmas goal outfit? Mine is one from 2 years a go, i only wore the dress a handful of times and got too big for it! :( x

It's funny, I've been big for so long I daren't buy anything else yet! I still don't quite believe I will actually be smaller. In September I saw my fertility consultant who told me the only way I'd lose enough weight to have IVF was if I had a gastric bypass as I only had 2 years left before I'm too old. 6 weeks into this and I only need to lose another 9.5lb and I've reached the weight where I can have it! Yesterday I tried on one of my "measure" dresses - I got it for a wedding in April but it was waaaaay tooooo tight then. It's a Julien McDonald bodycon dress in lime green with a leopardskin print belt and I love it. I've never worn it cause of how hideous it looks on me. Of course, it's now too big! Last night I dug out a denim skirt I got from ebay back at the beginning of the year when I was going to lose all this weight for my holidays, I never did get into it though. Now it fits. I've got 3 more unworn dresses in my wardrobe, all suitable for Christmas, I've not tried them on recently but I reckon by Christmas they'll be too big too. On the one hand that's amazing and I can see that evidence before my very eyes when I try these clothes on - but on the other hand, I still don't quite believe what I'm seeing yet! I suspect my Christmas outfit may be whatever Very have left in an assortment of sizes so I can find the one that fits after I order a wide selection!

Dresses + boobs + public trying on places = a mare! I feel your pain!

Well i went shopping, matalan size
18 blazer which is fairly roomy, a size 16 dress and primark a size 20?! Pfft. I still hate shopping, but i looked smart for my interview! Will know on wednesday :) keep your fingers crossed!!

You sound like youve done amazing noodles :) a true inspiration! Xxx

Primark always comes up small- I've never got into a size 10 there (even though I was most places). Sounds like a good shopping trip. Good luck on your interview.

Ooh a size 10 is only a dream for me!! I have some size '18' jeans from primark - i bought them years a go and they are teeny tiny - a friend of mine said 'oh primark jeans are awesome' and at the time she was larger than me, so to be on the safe side i got an 18 and have never been able to wear them (god knows what size they really are!!)

I had a little bit of a day off yesterday - i even had a brownie or two (only the little ones from morrisons!) but it was just not worth it, I got a carb hangover!!

I'm hoping my brain has actually realised that sweets & carbs = not that amazing.

Primark is indeed odd. Last year I got their thick tights, amazing fit, bought the same this year and they barely come over my knee's!! I have a tshirt that fits in a 16 but I'm not that anywhere else yet so guess it's just a random larger fit from them. I come out in a cold sweat if I think about coming off plan. I can't imagine doing it and now I'm stressing a little about Christmas, daft I know! Just booked a trip to Prague in January too, so haven't decided quite what to do then.... How funny, my work post just arrived and in it is a £5 off voucher from S&S - guess I'll be staying on plan for a bit then lol

Good luck with that one- my taste buds know that carbs aren't that amazing (I see to have found all sweet things a bit unpleasant) but my brain still craves them! I do love primark and have just come to realise that I need to try everything on and if it looks small take in a bigger size- I have everything ranging from 12 to 18 I think!

Hey! Why don't you measure your waistband of jeans to a pair that you normally wear? I did that and it gave me a little hope... Sizes are all made up, surely!

All the best for tomorrow too! I really hope you get it. Go shine! ?

I got the job! Hooray!
I had to go 'smart clothes shopping' today - urgh!!!! it was horrible!!
I can't wait to be able to buy a months worth of S&S - been a real struggle this week without it - but it's been a financial hell hole :( I got my £5 off in the post yesterday though so at least that makes it a little better :) How is everyone else doing? I start work on friday so i'll no doubt be coming on here to keep me away from the canteen :) xxx
