Hello, new girl on the block!

I'm not touching them this time around, some people love them but they just made me depressed. This time it's going to be different....I know it :eek:
 
started today, well...sort of started yesterday afternoon but not counting that, this week isn't going to be pleasant but i'll get there. How are you doing at day 6?

Morning

I'm doing really well actually.. Bit awkward on Monday when at in- laws family gathering, loads of carb food, you name it, it was there. Im more determined to lose weight than have a sausage roll and kick myself out of ketosis so I downed my shake and stayed outside with the children. I felt sorry for myself for about 5 mins but thought about summer clothes so the temptation soon faded! I was relieved I came out the other end!
I have to say this diet suits me as if I was on Slimming World I'd have caved in!
It's day 7 now, weigh in tomorrow! I've lost weight I can feel it but I've not weighed myself so I'm not sure how much has gone.
Good luck today, you'll be fine. We're all here for you ( sounds creepy but we all know what it's like not eating as we did)
 
Good luck for tomorrow, I feel less bloated already, woke up and looked in the mirror and my stomach is almost flat...bloody carbs making me bloated all the time. Can't wait for weigh in, I know i'm going to stick to it religiously...i'm more determind than ever :).

Wow that's amazing.. I used to live on carbs, toast, sandwich, pasta.. No wonder I'm 3 stone overweight! I've had a surge of energy today and made biscuits with my 2 littlies (aged 3 and 2) I wasn't that bothered really. Luckily I seem to have developed a cold so I couldn't smell them!
 
I buckled tonight and had a boiled egg and a tiny bit of cheese, thought I was going to pass out so thought a bit of food would do me good...feel fine now and not hungry so hoping I haven't jumped back a day :-s. Good job on cooking the cakes.....don't think I could have done that lol

I'm doing SS+ which means I can have a 200cal meal. I couldn't do this diet without a bit of food. I've had 2 egg mushroom omelette with some green salad and tonight I had a chicken breast I rubbed with tikka powder, again with mushrooms, cucumber and salad. Yummy!
I'm sure you won't be out of ketosis.. That would be 200cals. I'm also having a can of Pepsi max.. Nice to have a taste of something different.
 
I think ss+ is more up my street, only had two shakes today though as can't have another one tonight. Going to aim for three tomorrow and no food. I'm so full of water as well which probably isn't helping
 
Ok so THIS is day one. I went to see my CDC last night and got weighed (how depressing!) and all my shakes, soups etc. She was nice, explained a lot. I went to bed hungry as I thought this would be best. I woke up ravenous! My first ever Cambridge shake was banana and tbh it was a bit difficult to swallow, the flavour was ok but consistency just something I'm not used to. I had a black tea and some water with it and now I've gone back to bed feeling a bit sick and a bit sorry for myself! Maybe I'll split the shakes into two so I can get used to them slowly x how are you all doing?
 
I had the banana for the first time today (i'm now on day 3)...was so powdery even after shaking it forever :(, I found downing it as quickly as I can then drinking a load of water helped...i'm feeling fine now (felt very ropey when I woke up this morning). Hoping I feel better by tomorrow (I weighed myself this mornig and i've lost 6 lbs so hopefully I'm in ketosis by now). It'll get better I promise, i'm on day 3 and it's easier than day 1 definately :D
 
Just had the apple and cinnamon porridge for lunch...that went in the bin lol, absolutely disgusting, smelt lovely but all I could taste was salt?..yuk :(

I agree porridge and soups are bloody awful x

Defo going to have to stick to the shakes I think, problem is aI have a load of soups and porridge lol
 
I've just had the oriental chilli soup. I managed 90% of it! It was a bit powdery so I added more water, then lots of freshly ground black pepper and it was not too horrific!
 
Ok, just had my choc shake. Pleasantly surprised with it, LOTS better than the banana one thins morning. Sorry to give you all an update every few hours but it's like therapy! I've been bet hungry but not all the time, I'd have bouts of my tummy rumbling and then I'd be ok for a while. My family had curry and rice for tea so I took the dog for a walk whilst they had it, I was fine. Then I came back and smelt the carbs!!!! I had to go ready book upstairs! Also, I'm only eating about 90% of my 'food' I just can't seem to stomach the whole thing. Will this pass?
