Hello!

Yeah I gave it in. I'm just gonna carry on, eat more superfree foods and drink more water, try and get some exercise too. I'm trying to stay positive, I've still lost weight, if I was eating rubbish like I used to I probably would have put 2 pounds on. How are you? x

Hey, I'm good thanks. Been having loads of beans over the last two days, my belly is gurgling something chronic - and my daughter insisted on sleeping in my bed tonight.:sign0151:

I digress.

Yes more water! When I lost the 20odd lbs at the beginning of the year, I remember I had the full 8 glasses per day and the weight (initially) just fell off! So I'm trying that again, even though it's gross. Do you have any form of exercise machine at home? I have a cross trainer that is in my lounge, drying towels. Maybe we should both agree to do at least 15 minutes each, as a start...

You're a nurse? I used to be one of those, but not anymore LOL

One more thing...

I just need to remember any loss is a good loss.

:)

We have a cross trainer too, it's in the garage and has been pushed out of the way in a corner. I think that's a great idea! I'll have a look at it tomorrow and see if it still works. I need to start swimming too. Thanks for the support :greenapple:<- your fave x

Ha! I'm on my phone now so couldn't see the smiley! I know it was a green apple though!! *vomit*

Right, how about you get in the garage, dust off that contraption and drag it into the house... 15 mins per day in the beginning? I'll do it too, at least during mon-fri! :)

Hiya, Try not to feel too disappointed. I felt the same too when I STS at the beginning and again this week when I put on 1lb after sticking to plan. You are doing great, you really are. I am trying to drink more water this week and adding fresh lemon juice too as this is superspeed. You are definately going in the right direction. Do you have a bike? Maybe go for a bike ride with the weather being so fab. x
:)

Good morning/nearly afternoon :wavey:

Hope everyone is ok, it's Friday! I'm right back on the plan today, had a fruit salad (few different types of melon, pineapple and strawberries) with fat free natural yoghurt and a bit of sweetener and a nice big cuppa with skimmed milk for brekkie. I'm trying to have a lot more superfree foods so that's a good start! I have a bit of a potential problem for this afternoon/evening though. I'm meeting friends for a bite to eat at Frankie and Benny's
 Now......I really would like to think I'll be good and have a steak, jacket (not fully loaded!) and some sweetcorn but I don't think that's gonna happen! That's not to say I'll go and have tonnes of syns. I'm thinking either the arrabiata or chicken caesar salad. I was reading on one thread that the arrabiata isn't too syn laden-ed and as it's Friday I have a whole 6 days to get rid of the evidence ;) I know, I know! I'm a cheat but we've got to have a treat sometimes and I didn't start SW to be regimented and 100% all the time good. It's got to fit around me. I'll stop rationalising it now :D

Thanks Cinnamongirl, well done for drinking more water, watch out for the lemon juice as I heard fruit juices contain syns, not sure if lemon juice has but you might want to check it out. It does sound like a good drink though.

Running With Scissors - I will get the cross trainer out, it's a bit of a busy day today but when I get a minute I will
:checkmark green:

Have a good day! x

Johnny Depp - need I say more?

Johnny_Depp_dark_shadows_johnny.jpg I think I may be in love. Now he may not be everyone's cup of tea dressed like this but he is definitely mine! I just went to see this film and whilst it wasn't the best film he's been in I still enjoyed it immensely! He's just so HOT! :heartpump:

Went to Frankie & Benny's.........I have a confession to make
:hide: I was naughty! I had mozzarella garlic pizza bread and honey and mustard chicken and bacon wrap with chips :ashamed0005: BUT I did have diet coke to drink and coke zero at the cinema and no treats at the cinema. And I'm being very good from now on...........

Hope everyone else has had a good day xx

Good afternoon!

Another beautiful day and I have been swimming
:happy096: for about 15 minutes but every little helps (I didn't just go all the way to the swimming baths for 15 minutes, I'm lucky enough to have a pool in the garden. No excuses not to exercise this summer!) It's a little bit towards my body magic. For breakfast I had grilled lean bacon medallions, a fried (in Fry Light) egg, some tinned plum tomatoes and two slices of wholemeal Nimble toast with two Laughing Cow Light cheese triangles spread on them and a cuppa with skimmed milk. Just now I had a pear and some Walkers Stars. And I've been drinking lots of water.

I'm off to a Eurovision party tonight at my friends and she mentioned BBQ. Now I know BBQ can be made healthy but I know this particular BBQ will consist of sausage and burgers and white bread SO I'm making myself a SW carbonara to eat before I go. I'm a bit worried I'll be hungry later if I eat so early though
:ashamed0005: Maybe I'll take some fruit. And I'll take some diet coke and water.

How's everyone else? x

The carbonara was yummy! And I wasn't tempted at my friends, felt a bit awkward but I had a plum whilst I was there because I got a bit peckish. Drank Sprite Zero and then because I hadn't had all of my syns I had some Walker's Stars on the way home :D Another good day, drank lots of water, had 4 superfree portions of fruit. I know I need to eat more superfrees, my next challenge.

Anyway it's nearly half past one in the morning so I'd better go to sleep, night night all! xxx

Hi, well done for being so good and sticking to plan at BBQ. Dont think I would have the willpower. - fab idea makling your own food and taking with you.
me & my boyfrind had a mini BBQ on friday with venison burgers at 2.5 syns each and I used my healthy extras for the bun and cheese.
Is the carbonara recipe easy?

Thank you! Well done to you as well, were the venison burgers nice? We're having a BBQ today but my dad's got some steak so I'll have that (fat cut off of course), jacket potato and salad. Can't wait, yummy! The carbonara is very easy: cook the pasta, fry some ham/bacon with onions and garlic, whisk one egg and one egg yolk together and mix in about 50g quark, when the pasta is cooked mix it with the onion and bacon and then the quark/egg mix and then just heat it a little on the stove. That's apparently enough for two people but I ate about 3/4 of it to myself lol!

Had a good day today, had a SW friendly bacon and egg wholemeal roll and a plum and a cuppa for breakfast and a banana just now
:ashamed0005: Not much really but then I didn't have breakfast until nearly lunchtime and we were out and about. I have drank lots of water though.

Hope everyone else is ok! xx

Oo thanks for recipe. Will give it a go. The venison burgers are gorgeous. Very low fat and dont shrink at all. If you use your HEA & HEB for the roll and cheese slices even better.
Weigh in tomorrow so fingers crossed.

Hi Katie, just looking in on you, how was the BBQ? I can't believe you have a pool in your garden, I'm so envious! Especially with all the nice weather we've been having. :mermaid:

Good luck for tomorrow Cinnamon! I'll have to try the venison burgers, where did you get them from?

Hey RWS, the BBQ was lovely, I had a few tortilla chips and bits of pitta with some sweet chilli dip, not sure how many syns but I won't have any other syns today. I might have some cherries in a bit as they're superfree (I think! I'll check). Been drinking lots of water and I'm hoping it's helping me loose. How are you doing?

I went for a nice walk along the beach this evening, we're so lucky to live where we do, and the sunset was lovely, perfect
 and another bit toward my body magic. It wasn't exactly moderate exercise but still, it's better than nothin'!

Hope you've all had a good day x

Thanks. Fingers crossed cos I have stuck to plan. We have tried various venison burgers. The ones we had n Friday were from Morrisons - Highland game at 2.5 syns each.would defo get them again. Tesco, sainsburys and marks and spencer do them as well.:eat:

Just found this on the success stories part of the forum: Inspiring Video Dunno about everyone else but I'll look at it when I want a reminder of my reason I want and need to loose weight. Hope others find it useful if they haven't already seen it x

Warning - much ranting and boring gabbling!

Good afternoon!

:booboo: Oh dear! I intended to be good again today but for reasons beyond my control I had loads of syns. I'll tell you why............

I didn't have a lot of time to make breakfast this morning so I thought I'd have cereal. We have porridge but I thought it was too hot for that so settled for Shredded Wheat bite-size (28g) which I thought would be my HEXB. I had chopped banana and skimmed milk and a sprinkling of sweetener on top. I was just looking on the SW list of healthy extras and I couldn't see bite-size Shredded Wheat on there
:sigh: So I'm thinking that might have been syns  Obviously this was my fault, I should have given myself more time!

Then we didn't have anything in the cupboards or fridge that I could have for lunch, plenty for everyone else not on the plan but no healthy stuff. The only healthy stuff we had was fruit and celery and I thought I'd need more than that whilst I was at uni. So I thought I'd make a sandwich from some Hovis Seed Sensations bread. I didn't think it'd be too syn laden-ed because it was brown bread, just looked and because we had the 800g loaf it was 6 syns per slice!
 I had two Laughing Cow Lights as spread and some Bernard Matthews 4% fat chicken slices (goodness knows what syns were in them!) I also took some Walker's Squares (5.5 syns), an apple and some water. So all in all I had about 22.5 syns today :break_diet: The thing is I couldn't afford to buy healthy things, we had nothing else and I know if I didn't eat anything it wouldn't do me any good. I just hope it won't have affected me too much :(

Reflecting on this I know I need to be much more organised. If I'd have thought about it more I could have borrowed money and gone to the shops. I did have some superfrees and a bit of water, need to drink a load more though. I'll try and do some exercise to counteract the syns #

Anyways dad went shopping and got some Nimble, more fruit, salad and Mullerlights and so I'll be ok now
:)

Dinner will be healthy and no more syns today!............. Just as I wrote that my dad just smothered the pork medallions he got for me in lazy garlic (which contains white wine vinegar). I'm sure they'll be delicious but more syns for me! I know I sound ungrateful, I have parents that cook for me (at 25 years of age). I live at home because as a student I can't afford to move out. I can cook and do cook for myself but as they're cooking the same time as I would be and I can't afford to buy my own food I normally eat what they cook. My mum's fine, she's followed the SW plan before so knows exactly what to do, but my dad doesn't have a clue. And if I try to tell him he bites my head off! I can't win. He tries but then he's like, 'That sauce with all the red wine and butter will be fine!' So either I eat tonight and have more syns or I don't eat and go hungry and have a hard time from him. Looks like I won't be loosing any weight on Thursday. Brilliant!
 Maybe if I run the 20 miles to uni tomorrow I can work it off!

Sorry, rant over! I'm sure that was really boring if anyone actually got to the end lol. I just needed to get it out
:blahblah:

Hope everyone else has had a lovely day xx

Help! I'm feeling a bit low and want to go and eat the entire contents of the crisp cupboard, finished of with all of the chocolate we have and then wash it down with 2L of wine! How bad would I feel if on Thursday I put on a pound or more. I had too many syns today but not because I was being especially naughty. I could turn it round before Thursday, some exercise, tonnes of superfrees and water :whacky068: xx

Hi there. Hope I am not to late and you have eaten the crisps??
Be strong with me.
I felt like jacking it all this morning after my gutted weigh in to be honest but I have managed to stay on plan.
How about you have 1 choc biscuit or do you have any options hot chocolate drinks?
I am gonna have a belgian choc one which are so yummy and chocolaty.
Also choc and fudge alpen light bars - bought a load in B & M bargains on sat - £1.09 a box.
:cross:

Aww Katie. Things weren't even that bad. Shredded wheat IS on the healthy B's list, I quote:

35g Nestlé Bitesize shredded wheat.

So you didn't have as many syns as you thought. Besides, syns are really a way of controlling unhealthy things like sweets, butter, pies and cakes. I really wouldn't stress too much about healthy bread!

If it's any consolation, I started exercising on monday (only half an hour per day) but I've already put on 2lb because of it. Unless I have a miraculous loss overnight, I'm due for a gain or a STS.

Stay with me, okay! Keep at it. x
