I am new to cc my name is Kellie and I am 34 years old, my start weight is 254lb which is so heavy, my first mini goal is to get under 250lb I know it is only 4lb but I am only going to set small targets as I find it easier that way. I would really like to lose about 34lb by Christmas which I think is possible I am starting by cutting my calories to about 1700 to start with as then that gives me room to go do when things slow down as I don't want to start really low and then have no way of dropping. I am on my fitness pal my name on there is mkellie12 if anybody want to add me

Thanks i have been doing it for 4 days now and i am enjoying it so far hopefully i will lose some weight on tuesday when i next weigh in
 
Hi i come on here on my phone so i don't think i can get one of those ticker things as you hardly get to see anything on phone but hopefully as i have my fitness pal seeing that graph go down might inspire me
 
Mini goals are the way forward..... Im always doing it. I have no idea when ill get down to my 'ideal' weight so instead I set mini goals (even if its as simple as..... To feel good by a certain event or night out).

I think your being very sensible not cutting your colories too drastically. This way your more likely to succeed.

I agree, I'm sticking between 1260-1540 at the minute. I have a lot to lose too and I'm setting myself mini goals. I'll add you on mfp I'm MrsK1824 x
 
Thanks everyone its nice to know i am not alone on this long journey i am on i just hope that i have enough will power to stick with this diet as i normally give up after a week or two but i know i really need to do something about this weight as i hate looking a feeling this way that is why i am setting myself little goals as when i say i want to weigh 11 stone so i need to lose 7 stone 2lb then in my head i just think that it is impossible and start eating loads again and put even more weight on so i am trying a new tactic with myself so and i think that once i start hitting my mini targets i might slowly begin to believe that i can achieve my long term goal
 
I've got 6st 1lb to lose. We'll get there :)
I'd recommend also measuring yourself, some weeks you may think you havent lost anything but you might have lost inches x
