It was. Thankfully she is now fine and was discharged by the eye clinic after 18 months as they were happy that no permanent damage had been done. Hope he feels better soon.

Well donehow many fast days have you done. I'm starting this week, my first fast day will be Tuesday x
Well done! Yes, calorie counting absolutely does work.xxx
Teamnasher said:Thanks hun x when is your weigh in day? X
Hiya! I weigh monthly, so the end of April. I don't expect to lose much at this stage of the game, maybe a couple of pounds a month if I'm lucky! I'm in an August Bank Holiday challenge, and have set myself a target of half a stone by then, which should be do-able - just inching downwards, lol.xx
Teamnasher said:Awesome thats s really good ideaI'm too impatient lol id have to keep checking
I brought a really nice/good cold drinks bottle from Tescos for £4 which has an ice tube you can put in it and been upping my water/low cal squash this week as have never drunk enough I don't think! Only prob is I'm rushing to the loo every 5 mins lol but hopefully it will help and also been told it will stop my skin being so dry
double whammy! Lol
I cant see your stats as on phone but well done for nearly being therex
Lucy_B said:That is such a fab losswell done. Was it all done on this plan?x
Lucy_B said:That's fab! Do you have much left to lose?x
I never drank enough so bought a litre bottle to take to work and started drinking green tea. I am the same in that I have to keep nipping to the loo.
It's my first fast day today, I'm poorly too so I'm thinking this will help rather than hinder as food is the last thing on my mind. I imagine I will sleep most of the day (try to anyway as I had none last night) and eat some soup this evening.
I am a bit scales obsessed. I've chosen Monday morning as my wi but I know I'll prob weigh myself half way through the week. How do you not jump on the scales when you know you' e done well?xx
Lol, sounds like you're overdoing the water a bit.I can't stand the stuff myself, I only have hot drinks like coffee.
I only used to get weighed every two months, by my GP, so feel guilty about weighing myself at home at all, lol. Monthly's the best weighing interval for us women, as it evens out the monthly fluctuations, so it makes sense to do it that way now I don't go to the doctor's as regularly.
Now I've lost over 8 stone things are really slowing down, but I will try to get maybe another stone off if I can - won't stress too much if it doesn't happen though. At my age I don't want to go overboard or I'll just end up wrinkly, lol.xx
Teamnasher said:Lol your last bit made me giggle lol x i worry bout all my excess skin turning wrinkly lol
Can see what u mean about water as it said id gained a pound this morning x i know shouldn't have weighed lol i shall learn from that x my ladies time prob does have a lot to do with fluctuations especially as they ate all over the place at the minute x hoping they calm down once i have my new implant replacement x
Im being sent to a specialist diet consultant at hospital in june (long waiting list) as my bmi is 41 i couldn't see the usual dietician at my gp or chemist. Not sure what kind of diet advice they will give but worth going just ti see what they say lol x how did your gp support you? It obviously helped as you have lost do much and such an accomplishment![]()
I've just completed my first two weeks on 5:2. I wS shocked the first week as all I did was gain 7 lb!!! But I didn't feel like I'd gained so I decided my body had gone into shock and would persevere. I was then going in holiday for a week. Only self catering so was going to carry on fasting but instead I decided to relax and not stress about food so basically the second week I just ate what I wanted but kept one eye on the cals so I kept them low ish around 15/600.
When I got back I weighed myself and I was shocked to see that I'd list over a stone!! The first week I'd gone up to 14:3 and the second week I'd gone down to 12:11 !!' Complete shock! So I think the first half of that was only water retention and my body holding into what I fed it but once it realised I wasn't going to starve it it let go of the fat again.
Now I'm home I'm going to do the same two week cycle again. I'm fasting this week and a normal low ish cal counting week next week. Not that I'm expecting such dramatic losses but I'm just thankful that this had got me out of ammost year long plateau
