And today...

Breakfast - hot chocolate with soy milk (A + 3 syns)

hmmm i think im going to steal your soup recipie!!! sounds lovely and i have two butternut squashes here!
whats the fake tuna sarnie like?? have you had it before and like it or was that a first try hun?

The recipe is so easy!

Basically halve a butternut squash, drizzle with the olive oil and roast in a medium oven for 30 minutes. While you're doing that, finely chop the leek and a few chillis and fry in fry light until soft. Scoop out the roasted squash, chop a pepper and chuck that in, along with 300ml of veggie stock. Boil for 5 minutes before blending!

The mock tuna is a tasty sandwich filling, I've had it before. But, it just doesn't taste like tuna, the chickpeas have a very similar texture though. I'm sure if I got some seaweed and added it, it would taste more like the real thing.

Update about last nights foods....

I went out for an Indian with a friend, figuring I've been good all week and had used barely any syns yesterday. I had lentil dal and vegetable biryani. It was very nice! However, then came some cheap wine...so I got a little drunk...well VERY drunk. Naughtiness ensued. Luckily it wasn't food related naughtiness. But still, feeling VERY delicate today. I will be cutting down to 5-7 syns a day until WI :D

...so I'll just whisper, because of your head.

I also have to have lots of low-syn days from now on, to make up for my food-related naughtiness last night. But every last syn was lovely!

I'm glad you enjoyed your meal last night, sometimes it's just worth saving up the syns to have a nice splurge!

Thanks for speaking quietly!

will def try that soup!!
ooooooooooooooooo it does sound like you had a good night ;-)
hope you are feeling less delicate now! x

I am feeling better thanks Luverick :D

Well I have a SW related dilemma.

I made a GIGANTIC vegan banoffee pie for a meeting with some friends today. Meeting has been cancelled due to illness and the bananas are starting to brown. I really hope my flatmates will help me finish this beast. I'm not expecting good things at WI on Tuesday...

ooooo if only i was nearer!!! you gotta help out friends so i'd have to help you finish it:D

You are a good friend :D

I've had a slice. It's AMAZING. And actually, syn wise, not as bad as it could be. The pots of caramel soy pudding I used are 5 syns each, there's 4 in the whole thing. Then bananas (free because they're uncooked), the worst thing is the crushed hob nob biscuit base with soy butter, but a largeish portion shouldn't be more than my 15 syns worth.

Can I have a slice too please? Just to help out a friend, you understand. Not because I want any. Of course not. Definitely. Just selflessly coming to your rescue...

Haha, yes Jim, yes you can! I could probably make a more SW friendly version of this, I'll have to experiment!

Despite a difficult week (ended up going a friends for dinner and had lots of roasties!) I lost 2.5lb at weigh in. Yays! Well into the 12s now :D

I'm now back at home. It's going to be difficult to be perfectly on plan here because I have mum catering for me and it's hard to do both vegan and SW. I won't be snacking on crap though, so I should be okay!

Brunch: Fried mash (A) mushrooms, veggie bacon (2.5 syns) and baked beans (B for the oil)

..will update the rest later!

Dinner: wholemeal pasta with a tomato sauce (chopped tomatoes, wee bit of tom puree, onion, garlic and pepper)

Pudding: Rice pudding (5 syns)

Drinks - water

Syns - 7.5

I'm not sure a cup of tea REALLY constitutes breakfast in the way most of us understand it, Veg! But I suppose it's a start, in that it does suggest you made it into the world of the upright some time before lunch.

If I don't catch you later (and we seem to be missing each other at the moment) have a great Christmas!

Happy Christmas to you too mate, I'll give you a text on the day :D

Well done, Veg. Oooh, crumpets. I haven't even thought about those!

Fortunately I don't possess any, currently, so I can't be tempted. Although there is a packet of cinnamon & raisin bagels in the freezer which I have been personfully resisting for months.

I'll text you tomorrow, but have a good one.;)
